@@heliothrax7716 Chinese government can easily remove buildinfs to make way for wider roads, footpaths, they could easily demolish slums, encourchements and other old areas to make way for planned residential and commercial developments. Places like East Bengaluru, Pune, East Hyderabad etc do not even have a proper grid network and they never will unless they do a Chinese style redevelopment scheme or a Gujarat style TP scheme (which could take decades). Much of Delhi and Kolkata and much of the Gangetic plains is made up of ugly middle-class ghettos (which cant be as easily redeveloped as single storey slums for poorer class) with 5-storey houses and narrow roads. Lots of love for Mumbai from TN. ❤
Looks nice overall. Remarkably clean bike lanes and footpaths at most places. I am surprised at lane discipline amongst motorists in most roads, which is not commonly seen in Indian cities (got disrupted only around autos). Now with the coastal road also, Mumbai is giving competition to Delhi, which always had wider, green-lined roads.
@gurukantmarathe he talked about roads which Delhi has advantage over Mumbai, delhi got way bigger roads than mumbai and with a great greenbelt and connectivity in delhi is by far the best in india rest mumbai is the financial capital and leads in many other departments

I see this reoccurring pattern with Indian cities - the architecture is very impressive, grand and modern but the roads, sidewalks and landscaping - the overall ground infrastructure, scale and design - is absolutely terrible, unkept, dirty and outdated. You have state of the art buildings completely undermined and degraded by roads that belong in a back alley slum. Just watch any driving video of Shenzhen's CBD - the roads and sidewalks are cleaned daily, the hedges and trees trimmed weekly, the road markings always repainted if they become faded. Honestly, if you take a picture of various CBD's in Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines - they will be comparable with China - but I can always tell it's India because of the road standards and cleanliness. India really has to get it's act together when it comes to maintenance and upkeep. That's it's biggest problem.

8:46 Look at the "School Ahead" road sign in the top left. That sign is valid in USA and not in India (Our signs are triangular with red border for caution). It's just another example of mediocrity, which plagues this country.
Most of the buildings are world class. And they are mostly fully occupied and offer some of the best jobs in the city. So these are NOT empty buildings. But, sadly, the road quality leaves much to be desired - as already pointed out by others. Also, there are too many arbitrary road blocks - very unplanned and chaotic. Maybe things will be a bit better when the metro line and high speed train line are completed. I am surprised no one has mentioned the root cause of the problem. The utterly self-centered and clueless political leadership that ran the country after 1947. Did everything to destroy growth. Few people know how in the 1950s, the Indian economy was actually ahead of most ASEAN nations. The License Raj and the socialistic nationalization of all banks destroyed so many viable and emerging businesses. Only the Congress cronies survived. One of the first Asian tigers was reduced to a tortoise. Indian banks were expanding across Asia and Africa, Our largest banks (before nationalization) were some of the best run in Asia before they were taken over by you know who. Industrial investment was averaging 18% annual growth and fairly well spread across much of the country before the Congress nationalized everything and put in debilitating state controls. Even agricultural investment was at 10%. There was an amazing spirit of genuine patriotism and earnest optimism that held the imagination of the country back then. By the mid 70s and 80s, it was all gone. When growth in India had slowed to a crawl, the ASEAN nations began seeing explosive growth. India actually had better intellectual resources and a stronger scientific and engineering foundation. It was all wasted or strangulated by idiotic, corrupt and myopic babudom. And now we can't get rid of it. Truth is father and daughter were both economic criminals. We are still playing a heavy price. Sections of our private sector are now thriving (and approaching world class in some respects) but the municipal government sector is yet to be liberated from the decades of "satyanaas". The national government is at least trying hard. But at the local level, it is still quite a mess. And there are saboteurs everywhere to make things worse.
I should clarify. There were decent, intelligent and patriotic people in the Congress. But the dynasty more or less hounded out the best. People like Kamaraj, Sanjiva Reddy or Morarji Desai were actually more intelligent, but they got very bad press. And Shastri was murdered in Tashkent by the KGB who wanted a pliable socialist idiot - you know who - in power.
yea only if we aligned more with the USA and west back in those times. Grateful for USSR/Russian help during the early wars when the world turned their back on us, but their economic style copied by the INC leaders ruined the economy until it was liberalized in the 90s. But by then China had already beaten us in a game where we had a head-start. British left us in shambles but we had the resources and manpower to become the largest manufacturing and service industry focused country in history rivaling not China but the US. But here we are....hopefully the current party and future leaders are actually patriotic and want to fix the nation without further dividing it.

@@jithinthomas719 Actually, Eisenhower offered Nehru a Marshall Plan to recover from colonization and a seat on the UN Security Council. Nehru rejected the offer and chose the Soviets and China. It was only later that all the goodwill towards India vanished. US did not drive India away. Nehru drove the US away.
@@shishirthadani1696 Nehru had this weird obsession with the USSR. My god how different would we have been with American economic structure and a free market economy. Makes my blood boil
Construct 45000Km of Bullet Train Tracks by 2045
It is a very chaotic and crowded city. Lahore is cleaner, less congested and planted city than this city
It's ok but Manila BD is far better
get those roads a makeover 😭

It's not बांद्रा कुर्ला most of the people's don't know thos it was बांद्रे कुर्ला BKC

First I say sorry for my words if anyone gets offended. I am not shoked why most of mumbikars interested in forign culture because with that type of infra they could think like that. This Mumbai is alive only with indirectly central funds . Imagine after some new interchanges of coastal road they started dancing, while delhi' dhala kuan and Kolkata have far more complicated and we'll planned interchanges( nabbanna interchange which was made in 90s) than that.
No one cares about Kolkata.
Nabanna and Dhala kuan interchanges are made on ground... But coastal road interchange is made over sea and also with reclaimed land... There is a difference...

why they have narrow roads ??
That's not highways just common streats
@lokeshnellipudi8424 i know
Common streets are narrow
You need a standard good streets in metropolitan cities
Look at china 😃 how they have done it
You won't feel that you are in 1.5 billion population country or 20 million city.
Everything is smooth because they have planned everything.
Dunya me wide khali highways ni hoti bhai
Gulf me streets narrow q ni?
City planning to dur se ni guzri Indian authorities ke.
Muu utha kr bus koi b chez bana do.
Jakar aap jakarta hi dekh len
TH-cam pe hi 😃
Una CBD dekh len
Wide roads, wide walkways, smooth clean everything
do people respect the cycle lanes or do motorbikes go through them
Too many cars parking in the adjacent lanes. It seems that a lot of the road surface is made of cement rather than asphalt, and the lane markings aren't very clear either. Keep it up!
All new buildings. And very good architecture and aesthetics. But downside is the condition of roads , the people's attitude in respecting pedestrians and traffic rules. Was this taken on a Sunday? Very low traffic. Also pedestrians also should respect traffic rules. Only then can everyone enjoy the infrastructure
Not up to standard not impressed enough, cleanliness can still be better, infrastructure in some parts of the video can improve, dividers etc, don’t compare with China focus on Mumbai
Every Indian people wants clean Cities and towns but the people doesn't know how to stay clean and hygienic, I've visited India and i see lots of plastic and garbage on streets with Tobacco spits around every corner. I don't know how exactly it called but I heard it's pan masola , gutkha something like that. But hey guys, i believe there'll be change and like this city and streets in this video I want India to be like this. Love from Japanese man living in Australia.
Yeah that's true we need to change and we have get some civics sense and discipline like japan
your assessment is wrong . Its not the people its the lack of government and education barely any Indians have greatest education and many jobs in India are hard to get leading to poor like environments along with everything indian is just not up there
You are not Japanese
if you are wondering what this city is missing and comparing it with NY, BERLIN, LONDON ...it is the 'space'. yes , india is a over populated country compared to its geography
Always twice a month route to Jio world Plaza ....😅
Can't government maintain good markings in roads instead of that zigzag shit they are doing
And standardized roads
Like the quality is changing every few meters he is travelling.
I expect better from the business district of financial capital of India.
And someone ban this auto yaar.
Why can't taxi run all over Mumbai...
I want to settle in Mumbai

Bet you've never heard of walkthrough or drive through genre of TH-cam. Just search it, there are an hour to multiple hours long videos of cities, explored through walking or driving by car.

bkc only looks good..but it’s worst in terms of public transportation. nariman point anyday would be better than bkc. i hope BEST introduces more buses on bkc route!!
why pakistan and msulim getting jealous in comment section
So you made the video to show only Ambani’s public capital property.. thanks for it.
Bro but not compatible with two tier cities of Japan cities like nagoya kagoshima fukuoka are far ahead
atleast china bro japan is a literal developed country the comparison doesn;t even make sense
@@PratikMukerjee recently i watch china and japan vlogs from travel withh AK and i thing india need to just finishing ,like having cleen rode , and we need to work on our infrastructure little bit
Everything is fine except lack of trees and greenry
Bhai ahmedabad ka banao
Good video Anuj. But BKC looks like a dead place, as if only made for the rich and famous. All big company office hugh buildings seen, but not too many people, on the streets. And if there are so many big companies, wonder were are all the jobs for common people has gone. Also no khau gali seen, no chai ki tapri, and also no bustling resturants seen. So where does the common man go to eat in BKC, the common cheaper food of mumbai. No BEST buses seen, though could see autos and taxis, and that would also be expensive for a common working person. Looks like the BKC has only been developed for the wealthy and industralist people who can afford this luxury.
You dont build things purely in the assumptions everyone wants to remain poor. You build infrastructure for the future.
Ha chutiya har jagah tapri, gutka shop khol lo joh acha jagah ki aisi tesi ho jay aur tu zomota , nehi kar sakta kya
@@gigglesandgoals8588 most financial cities look empty during day time.
poor people can become rich after working here, people have big pockets here, they spend lavishly, as they should, because spending lavishly gives other people employment, whole India is a khau gali, if there is one decent spot in this country, you also want that to become like Khau Gali? no wonder India remains to be a laughing stock globally, because slum-loving jokers are always ready open their circus in private properties of others and build their poop-cavity to rot there like labrats, BKC is a miniscule spot in this country, why every dot on the map be flooded with mediocrity, Hard-working people deserve more in the society, than a lazy bum who day-dreams, BKC is for hard-working industrialist who provide jobs for people, not for complainers who think medievel manual labour is "hard-work", the farm-based economy is long gone, so keep your lips sealed commie and don't be jealous of others.
I come from Hyderabad and looking at this video, the only thing I can say that is I feel really claustrophobic, looking at the situation of the roads. They are way too small. Hyderabad roads are so much better. Even just colony roads are larger than these main roads😂😂
