Nah, it'd be the same puppets filmed over obvious screens in the background with pre-filmed human actors reacting to some dude just off screen, and it'd look so terrible it'd be retroactively amazing.
Worthi even made an effort to animate the strings that would have hypothetically been on the puppets. Truly a man with a strong passion for stop motion.
I think it has less to do with him having more talent, and more to do with him having more artistic vision than average, and enough talent to realize that vision without needing to bring along others who will stifle that vision
The slight hair shifts between frames, the weird random little light blips that I never understood, & by gods the fucking *_LIGHTING_* I literally can’t force my brain to see this as anything other than old school claymation/stop motion it’s beyond incredible
I can't even understand how he did it, _and I mess with blender_ For the animation, I guess he could use some really choppy, stepped interpolation, and the faces are easy enough to change with shape keys, again with a constant interpolation. But the lighting is too good even for blender, those materials are absolutely spot on, and as you said, animating the hair just slightly on each frame would be pretty amazingly time consuming, I have no idea how to automate that. And then the composition of the shots, somehow making it look all blurry and low resolution like a true, vintage claymation show. The compositing alone makes my head spin
@@potaterjim The only "flaw" I can see is the lack of some of the common flaws with claymation like seeing the actual modeling tracks of their fingers on the clay, they're almost too perfect, but that was something they managed to arrive to in claymation over time themselves, so it's not a given.
Wait it wasn't 🤨 Sorry I knew blender was a program for Animation since I looked at it for my pc but I didn't know if it also had a different purpose. So how did they achieve this look?
Good god, you even nailed the detail where the clothes get ruffled as characters move, as if they were posed by people between frames. This is some dangerously good talent.
Now some say that worthikids sold his soul to get these skills. But it's obviously a mixture of hard work, hard work, and the souls of hundreds that makes him this good.

Worthi has such a specific taste for aesthetics and humor and it is perhaps one of the most well-developed things I've ever seen. IDK how he does it.
He makes behind the scenes stuff over on his Patreon so you can actually SEE how he does everything.
You could create an entire holiday special, release it to the public as a "lost Rankin Bass film" and no one would doubt it.
You right. This here already looks like if Rankin Bass made Japanese sci-fi shows

I’m convinced Worthikids is a time traveler that found this unreleased anime and is here today to share it with us.

Did you seriously put strings on them when they were floating in space my dude? 😂 That was incredible!
also during the part where Yajima points out the two suns, you can see strings attached to those, too! those little details make this animation so wonderful :)
What the hell! Thats crazy, I didnt even realize that!?
i loved that that was so clever
The hair boiling is also a wonderful touch, the small movements as if the figures are being adjusted by hand
There's something powerful about spending hours on a shot that only lasts 1.5 seconds. Like, the kind of quality you get when money is actually being thrown around to produce something.
I love the annoyed look on the astronaut as Yajima proclaims the biker as her archrival and dismisses Zoga. It’s the little details that make your animations shine.
I love Yajima’s design it’s so freakin cute she’s like a space pop star

It blows my mind how this one guy has more talent than entire animation studios.

The slight hair shifts between frames, the weird random little light blips that I never understood, & by gods the fucking *_LIGHTING_*
I literally can’t force my brain to see this as anything other than old school claymation/stop motion it’s beyond incredible
I can't even understand how he did it, _and I mess with blender_
For the animation, I guess he could use some really choppy, stepped interpolation, and the faces are easy enough to change with shape keys, again with a constant interpolation.
@@potaterjim I think this is actually animated one stop motion frame at a time
@@Rotem_S oh god, you think he manually posed them for each frame?
@@potaterjim The only "flaw" I can see is the lack of some of the common flaws with claymation like seeing the actual modeling tracks of their fingers on the clay, they're almost too perfect, but that was something they managed to arrive to in claymation over time themselves, so it's not a given.
