i feel like the reason why older anime openings have such a unique feel to them is because rather than showing what was going to happen in the season (which i honestly think a lot of newer anime do very well and very creatively), these older ops encompass the feeling/sentiment of the show? like good examples are sumomomo momomo and ranma! those friggin ops have very little "substance" to them. its just the characters dancing around and being stupid but its fun to watch bc its essentially preparing you to watch the show. i love the new op style but old op style has a special place in my heart
I don't disagree with you, but this is a newer version of the original song from 1994 not a song made for the anime. It's sort of how Naruto's first OP was from the 80s.
There are some one piece openings from One piece and Naruto before shippuden with some good goofy openings. Even Dragon ball and dragon ball z did that.
When he is dancing, you could sightly hear: "Bob, bob, ahead" (i know its the song lyrics "bomb ahead"). But I think that is the way they want to introduce him😁
For those who don't know, this OP was a newer version of a song from 1994 by the same artist, m.c.A.T. It's sort of like how Naruto had an 80s song for it's first opening.
The openings we have now are fine but I wish they would kind of go back to the older style of making something creative and capturing the niche feel of the show. *Most* openings now are pretty much just AMVs. (Anime Music Videos).
Best example is the new Black Clover opening. It’s like the most generic anime opening I‘ve watched. I just kept remembering those spongebob anime opening scenes that were floating around for a while. Just check out: Black Clover - Opening 10
@@poslacionitakam7462 By older style I mean by way of doing. Most older anime ( lets say pre-2008) actually made unique animation and music to capture the exact feel of the show and give you taste of what you were in for like an intro should. Now a days they slap on music done by industry artist (not in it's self a bad thing) and show a bunch of random clips of characters doing things that vaguely capture the show and mostly just try to match the song.
Fun Fact: "Oh! great" (pen name of the manga-ka Ogure Ito, which is a play on words because his name sounds like you're saying "Oh great") who made this and Air Gear also designed some alternate costumes for Tekken 5 and 6, made a pornographic novel "Silky Whip", AND also did the Manga adaptation of Bakemonogatari. Also, one of his favorite Manga as a kid was Fist of the North Star. (which makes sense that he'd get the same writer of FotNS to write Tenjho Tenge)
Metal Sonic FTW Honestly if this show was separated into two different parts , the story would have been better. Basically two great things become terrible when put together
Metal Sonic FTW That’s why I feel the show suffered was because due to the flashback characters like Bob , Masataka and Souichiro do almost nothing after episode 10
I used this song to break the ice with a girl on our first meeting about 16 years ago. I knew she liked anime and i had this MP3 on my PSP. We're married now.
One day, I lost control of my body. While sober and still being fully conscious, God started speaking to me and He said "follow me or die." I don't know you or what you've been through, but you matter. I grew up in church always hearing about God but I decided to do my own thing. Doing drugs and chasing girls, among other things. I did it for years and I was depressed for years.. after being arrested I stopped doing drugs... that's when God scared me straight, for years I had the opportunity to accept Jesus as Lord but I never did, so God had to wake me up. After all these years I'm glad God said what He said. It was like someone pushing another person out of the way of a speeding car, to the person that was pushed it might seem rude.. but after that person gets a hold of themselves and looks back, they will realize that they needed to be pushed. Jesus Christ loves you and so do I. God bless you
The much like every Oh Great's work. He always stumble midway, think he's too overly ambitious and tries to appease the audience too much. Even air gear started great and became a weird shounen that isn't going anywhere.
@@ChrisTian-sd5yq Nagi is from what I remember but they focused on Takayanagi alot too and many argue that he should have been the MC from the beginning.

I remember this being borderline unwatchable. Was a shame because the series that preceded it on TV was Gun X Sword which was bloody fantastic. Kinda like a Cowboy Bebop/Gundam mix. Real good stuff
The anime didn't do very well because people didn't like how much time was spent on the flashbacks. The manga is way worse about this with 1/3 of the story taking place in a flashback and another 1/3 being spent with characters who aren't part of the main cast.
Perhaps because the author...OH!Great mangas always had rape and lots of adult content. Because he was a hentai manga artist before Tenjho Tenge, Air Gear, and another one i forgot the title. And every battle scenes was drawn too beautiful...

I love how Bob is the only one who doesn't get his name shown. Welp at least he got a cool dance instead.

AHHH MEMORIES FROM 2005/2006!! I ADORE THIS OPENING! ALWAYS LOVED THE DANCING AND MYA'S TRANSFORMATION
I love mais transformation. It's so detailed. They even bother putting details on her nails in the close up.
Yup Aya Natsume's dance was great at that time. And Maya's transformation was cool indeed
I like how she's the one to throw all the sakura petals that are falling throughout the entire opening.

"...."
"O nooo keep dancing black guy dont ever stop!"

No wonder that artist (m.c.A.T) was also make song of kamen rider 555 call "people with no name" & Kamen Rider Blades op2
This was one of the first anime i watched on animax
Time for a rewatch
One of the greatest anime openings ever

why does this actually slap...? i went into this with low expectations. but wow

Still a banger every time I listen to it
I would like to thank Aya and Maya for guiding me into my puberty.

Tremenda obra de arte 10/10 y de las GOD
Openings were an excuse to make the characters dance, and i'm all for it
I came here cause I remember this being recommend to me but that was a while ago :>
Classic Anime. Wow
Fun intro, very upbeat.
Aina Suzuki (CV of Mari Ohara) was still in Grade School when this show was broadcast.
I'm not sure why you're talking about Ainya here, but as a fellow Love Live fan, I have to say hello. Even if it is a year later!
Lol. I collected that series! 😅
Ngl, I kinda miss how the old school anime always had someone do sick ass dance moves xD Monster Princess and Tenjho Tenge are prime candidates
Aya was the only one from the show i remember accomplished anything.
Me encantaría si alguuuuun día suben contenido subtitulado al español ! compraría la membresia sin falta!
Still waiting on that season 2
