It destroyed its own momentum by having a flash back in the middle of building up the A plot... the flashback turned out to be longer then the A plot which created whiplash when it returns to the main cast only to have another flashback to wrap things up. Stupid writing!

Anything I said was automatically overwritten by her own internal beliefs, and promptly ignored. The only real option when they refuse to see you as anything but their fictional ideal, is to cut them off, as you're just a placeholder for their fictional narrative. And she found some other guys to obsess over within about a month.

Every guy with any sense wants a devoted wife, but that is hard to find these days. Ignoring that though, only a naive idiot proposes to someone they just met.......... I mean sure it can theoretically work out if you both are very lucky, but don't bet on it. Take some time to date or something at least for a while to see if you get along. Her obsession straight from the get-go, seemingly even before knowing the guys name......that would probably even scare me off. I do need to watch the series no matter what though as I keep seeing various clips and it looks amusing, and thanks to this video I now have an easy place to go watch it :D
