I am about 5’8” and I have the wheel axel tilted up just a hair and it feels pretty comfortable for me. I agree it would be great if you could adjust the wheel plate height but I suspect a lot of people under 5’10” find it comfortable. As with many things comfort can be subjective.
I’m 5’7” and it fits me perfectly, so saying it’s not for anyone under 5’10” I think is incorrect. I agree with all your pros, and I’ll add one very important one(for me). It is light enough to pick up and move into another room, if you are having company over or something like that.
That pain your describing sounds to me like Carpal tunnel syndrome, Pity I’m only seeing this review now as I’ve a playseat trophy sitting under my tree now 😂 I’m about 6ft tall so hoping the wheel position is suitable 🤞
Glad I saw this, was going to pull the trigger on a cyber monday deal but will opt for the Next Level seat instead. Was trying to decide between the two.
Now that is a quality review. Love the lazy boxer as well. And you're right, the Logitech has the better looks but you gotta feel comfy sitting in the rig.
@@WilliamShakerTech keep up the good work. been following you since you did the quitting van life video. didn't want to be a silent observer. thanks for the good content!

The real reason is because the design was made without even the thought of wheel height. They could have made two versions… a lower wheel height (for people like me & the current version (for taller people). That would solve the problem completely but the one size fits all approach doesn’t work well for everyone.
I'm 5'6" and the playseat trophy works fine for me, just. I use a Moza R5 and i think being a smaller base than you are using the wheel sits lower. Yours looks really high. Another thing you could do is use a car seat cushion so you sit higher.
Too much flex and movement with modifications.. as I demonstrated, better products out there with lots of adjustability all around. For tall (long torso) people.. it’s a great rig.
@@WilliamShakerTech I don't use any cushions. I would like more adjustments though I have to compromise a little between the pedals being to low or too close, but I could move the seat back but then the wheel would too far away lol. But overall I don't have the issues you were having.
Thank you for confirming my concerns too. I am about your height and the wheel is just too high. Big oversight by logitech and that is really unacceptable given the price. Thanks again for saving me money.
I have a 7 yr old and she can reach the pedals but she's basically got her butt at the edge of the seat. You'll need to soften the brake pedal and reduce force feedback
Helpful review. I'm 5'11" and have been considering this seat for a while; it sounds like it would be a good fit for me. What's your plan for it? We may be able to work out a deal if you want to part with it.
Can't go wrong with either but really depends on your budget. I recommend going with F-GT and upgrading the chair to the ERS3 chair which is miles better than the one included. This is what I've done. I'll be releasing a video on it soon along with a review of the F-GT. amzn.to/3YCRTho / amzn.to/4fk22VG
@@TheColdest247 undoing the screws will allow you to reverse it. Buying used is the best way... Got mine for $275 and sold it for $390 lol.. pro tip: if you have the smaller fanatec with small footprint, you can even screw the plate upside down so that it sits lower.. Unfortunately, with my ginormous G Pro... that wasn't an option.
@@WilliamShakerTech Wow! $275 was a complete steal. Unfortunately, where I live these sale for $400+ and that's what I paid for mine. I wish I could of came across a deal like yours, but I can't complain it's a very solid cockpit. My only complaint is the adjustment you stated, and the seat can rip underneath overtime near the hip area. Many don't mention it, but it's a known issue, but I just took mine to a seamtress and had her beef the seat up underneath.
Ya I got a good deal lol.. hey man.. if you’re tall enough to be comfortable.. it’s a solid rig! I would have kept mine but I struggle with a short torso as you saw in the video lol 😂 PS: I bought my NLR for $300 on FB marketplace.. used is the way to go with rigs. People sell for all kinds of reasons and 99% of the time it’s because they got bored after a month. I went through 3 rigs from FB marketplace and got back every penny when I sold them.
Damn I wonder where my shoulders would line up. I am 6’6” Planned base is TM T-GT. I dont see a problem for my legs to fit but wheel angle and things related to that… Good point on the wheel plate reverse option!
You’d fit perfectly I think. However, if you’re the typical American who wakes up eating Doritos & cheese burgers for breakfast, the stitching on this won’t last long but as long as you’re a fit person it should be fine.

I think if they make the wheel adjustablen on that frame it would compromise the rigidity

Are screws included in the package to screw the pedals tight?
Yes
I'm also 5'5" but could you not add extra cushions to sit on?
You probably can but I'm not interested in doing that.

So, what does it do for the steering wheel by turning it from the default wider side of the base to the reverse shorter side? Thanks in advance!
Moves it closer or farther away from you.
@@WilliamShakerTech Good to know. I purchased one used, and the wheel plate has the short side facing me.
