DAS stands for Distributed Antenna System and is a series of antennas and other components installed within a building space. For WilsonPro specifically we define a Passive DAS system as a series of antenna, cables and cellular amplifiers (BDA or Bi-Directional Amplifiers). These DAS systems provide cellular signal throughout the building allowing the users within to remain connected and productive.
WilsonPro passive DAS systems are carrier agnostic, meaning they work on any carrier and any device. They capture the signal for all carriers outside of the building, that signal is passed inside through low loss cable to the BDA which boosts the signal and then transfers that signal throughout the building.
All WilsonPro solutions are carrier pre-approved, which means you can begin installation right away without any need to check or authorize the passive DAS system with any carriers.
