I like the fact that Roger plays with Zverev and is kinda a mentor, calmly explaining him where he can improve and congratulate him even at mistakes…
Same with Rafa, always being on his back and motivate him…
Don’t forget that he’s not on their level and the pressure he must feel is huge….Nice game overall…

I'm writing in 2023 near the end of that year.
Shapo, despite his amazing talent has managed to squander that talent. I don't see him playing into the second week of any
Grand Slam event in his lifetime or even the lifetime of humankind as we're now facing the fifth great extinction.
The end of homo sapiens on Mother Earth is at hand. I doubt very much if children today are going to (via a milagro/miracle of sorts) survive this Century. 2036 is about as far in the future I can see homo sapiens in the forefront.
AI will take over and deal more successfully with the cockroaches and other insects of the world. In other words we're toast!

In 2019 we know he had problems with his management, his coach dad was in hospital etc & it affected his game but he still did well. Also he literally carried the germany team and made qualify & reach the final many times. He still top 10 won 3Masters+ ATP finals cup+ reached GS SF & still the best next gen. yall are ridiculous crucifying him when others can’t even get half of his achievements

@@jxcb6877 objectively speaking, Zverev is not a good doubles player. He is very slow at the net and does not have the intuition and reflexes that great doubles players do. He is a good *singles* player when he has confidence. Not all singles players play good doubles, that should be common knowledge. Also, I disagree Zverev is the best next gen currently--maybe a couple years back in 2017 that was true, but recent results say something different.

He also won them many points and not just with his amazing serves. I agree that the teamplay between these two could be better but that doesn't mean that Zverev is a bad doubles player. Maybe he is just inexperienced in doubles play but that can be improved through training and experience. Even Federer wasn't born as the perfect doubles player.
