He does ball tricks, head passings, etc. with them at pre-games and because of that communication and by his demand last year the team took a lot of quick throw-ins, they celebrated with the ballboys the goals resulted by these quick takes, those kids were even interviewed in post-game.
Nadal and Tsonga are such classy gentleman players - love them. As the commentator rightly states 'Not only is Rafa a champion, he's a beautiful human being.' He also spent sometime with the girl and her parents after this match to make sure she was really alright - she was stoked - said that he is her favourite player. So unlike some who smash rackets and hit lines people when they lose. What a disgrace!

I think it still either deflected down into her face or bent the hat far enough to hit her face though, because it looks like her right eye is already tearing up a bit by the time Rafa makes it over there, which is a pretty sure sign of getting hit right around there

No, Rafa shows class, but Kato's opponents moaned to the umpire and got her disqualified after he'd given a warning.
I remember watching the last game! It was absolutely insane! My sister and I watched the whole game until well after 1am in the morning. We both had to get up early to go to work but we were so enthralled and couldn’t stop watching. Best bloody game of tennis we’d ever seen!!!! Hand down! AMAZING 🤩
I love all these, they really show that between humour and kindness all the proper feelings are there. Imho big part of sportsmanship is proper feelings and also ability to find humour in things :) #2 for me is the best - girl made it so it's not a big deal, she's so focused on the job, but still appreciative. Yeah , unfortunately looks like he'll be missing Wimbledon and the US Open at least before he recovers from his surgery. It'd be great if he could bow out with a final hurrah in 2024, but it depends on how much fitness and sharpness he loses during his recovery. So much more class than Djokovic, he and Federer both.

that girl took a 186 km/h ball hit to the face from nadal himself and kept her composure. my sister is on her 20s and she cried when I told her she’s getting a bit fat.
