I'd like to make a point about the oil injection in these TS's and hopefully any prospective owners of these bikes will see this. The oil injection on these old Suzuki 2 strokes is different than other oil injection systems. The Suzuki system directly lubricates the crank bearings and if you block-off the system and use premix...your bottom end won't last very long. The bearings won't get the lube they need.
I had one of these at 17 back in 1980 it was called an ER185 (Enduro Ratio) but it’s more or less the same bike, mine had a rev counter instead of the indicator panel or whatever that was. Living outside Edinburgh back then I used to take it scrambling around the coal bings and had tons of fun at the weekends doing that, then weekdays used it to commute to work, happy days, and of course I just knew they were the best bikes in the world 😂
This was my first bike in the 80s. Only different to yours I had a rpm gauge where your signal lamps are and my lamps where under the gauges. Also had a plastic screw on fuel cap. Easy motor to work on.
amazing how the early 185s were so much better looking than the later 185s. as like suzuki, Kawasaki reuined the looks of their 175 in 73!! i have a 73 f7 175. i changed mine back to look like a 71-72 thanks to ebay, ifound everything i needed! cheers
I just found an 1981 with the same mileage!.The suspension can be alittle ruff on the trail but since the bike is nimble and the engine likes to rev its actually kinda fun. All I did was change the tubes and get new tires with a nice knobbie up front. I watched a bunch of your other videos..man, your living the dream so cool. I want to ride all those bikes ha! That altitude must make jetting interesting
Hi there, how can I get in contact regarding using this video in our video documentary for a school project? Basically I’m just asking permission to have 5 seconds of your clip played in our 10 minute motorcycling documentary 😊

Does that apply to a 1979 Yamaha DT-125 F as well?

I’ve got one exactly the same. I love 2 stroke trail bikes.
Very clean TS... nice find!!!
I had one in highschool in 1983.
Very nice don't see a lot in Good shape I bought mine from a Friend for $400 with 7100 miles but very clean like yours!
I love it, had one new in 1980 and want one again. I'd trade my 2000 KTM LC4 640 staight up for one but they aren't to be found in Indiana.
Long live the ts185🤠
i got mine for $400 and it needs small things but all and all a good bike
Would be a good bike for college
Had one back in the late 80s.... Beware of the oil injection!!!
So very nice
Had same bike and colour, clocks different and mine had ER on the seat no rear rack
1982 had the same shape as this, just different paint job
🎉Just varnished and garnished by bissy motors ltd. Then over a swiss franc 🎉 totaled my ts to swiss mess🎉..
Same as my cousin had his was in green.
That's really nice
I'm rebuilding one at the moment does anyone happen to know where to get parts
eBay. Although Suzuki has started making parts again for 'classic' bikes, maybe this bike qualifies. bikes.suzuki.co.uk/vintage-parts-programme/
damn that's beautiful, you sure you didn't make this video in 1981? bike looks new!
Nice bike !
