Good god. I had a 1978 DS80. This 185 sounds exactly like my 80, looks exactly the same as well. Senior you are spot on, bulletproof. Tanks of gas was all they needed for upkeep. I cannot believe the shape that is in.
My mother bought me the same exact bike in 1996 I was 12 yrs. Old, every memory was full of joy. I sold it in 2002, regretted doing so. Luckily last week I was looking at old vintage bikes on facebook. I f ound another 78 ds 185 and bought it. Cool video it was everything as you said and more.
Beautiful bike, in 1979 my buddy got one of those brand new and let me ride it, perfect bike man, I was still riding my XR75 another great bike but I begged my dad for the ds185 but no go. I can still remember how bad I wanted that bike. I'm going to look at an RS175 on Wednesday needless to say I'm a little excited lol😄
Doug domokos the American king of wheelies late 70s I think ! True record breaker. The dude had a small battery motor on the fork leg constantly spinning the front wheel for gyroscopic effect. Evil wheelies 👍 he even wore a cape! Uk.
I had a 1978 Suzuki DS 100 It was a rough bike. No brakes no clutch cable. no kick starter. The Carb flooded the engine. The condenser stop working. So mine DS 100 had no spark. I tried getting a new condenser but suzuki dealer didn't have it anymore.
I bought a 1978 DS100 new for a little over $600 from working over the summer when I was 12. Good little bike but the ignition side cover leaked and it required repair several times
I had the 1978 ts185 version. Best friend had the ds185. I sold it 5 years ago and still runs. I bought mine in 1978. I was 15 years old. Do you guys still have this for sale?
Does anyone know how easy it is to get parts for these? I'm looking at buying one and parts are the only thing I'm worried about. And if they are easy to find any suggestions on where to go?

That has to be one of the most bombproof bikes ever made and a lot of fun to ride! Awesome gentlemen!
