I just found a TS185 in my chicken coop. I may have to take a try at it. It has a registration sticker from 1980 on it and it so I'll be looking for real in depth instructions for sure.
Mine was identical, even the extended rack mount. I thought for sure my bars weren't original. But they are. Nice work! You should see what I'm going to do!. Think motard one day, cafe racer the next. Surprised I haven't seen more. Can't make up my mind. Bit like hamlet. Can you believe it,I went white also. My chrome isn't as good. Only 35000k's erz 88.
You all probably dont care but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Otis Kamden I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Hi again , Bought a new seat from Thailand for my bike as the foam seemed to get soft after sitting on it for an hour or so on the original seat. When new seat came he,d sent the wrong one so I,m still waiting for a replacement seat to be sent bit of a pain but will get sorted hopefully. Anyway av u had time / weather to go for a spin yet ? Enjoy !!!! Regards Andy
That is what happens when you let a Suzuki sit for 10-15 years it rusts so badly it isent just start and go its use alot of months on restoring them but when they are done they look amazing ;)
You've done an amazing job mate! How did you get all the chrome bits to come up like new? I'm about to start restoring my dads 1982 185 to its former glory, it's blue in colour
Thanks mate, All chrome parts were bought brand new and cost a small fortune from a company in Germany who supply classic bike bits. and a lot a good second hand parts from America also. Enjoy your resto.
I have a ts 185 I’m restoring like an idiot I threw away all the bearings that go in the triple beam the top and the bottom so I have no clue what’s size bearing to use I don’t suppose you know off hand
Hi , just watched your restoration BRILLIANT !!!!! Fantastic job well done . Did one myself on my TS 185 ER check it out ( fazers2600 ) have done about 800 miles on it since finished and still makes me smile from ear to ear when riding it . Anyway well done again and hope you enjoy riding it as much as I do , oh where did you get the seat from ? THANX Andy.
hey, i have a question, i am going to build one like that but where do you guys found the stickers (like the colorstripes and the Suzuki logo, ...) or is it painted on it?
GARRY GIBSON man, I've got myself into a strange world, nearly got a red demonstrator in 84, too dear, got a dt175, the red one I've bought could very well be the same one beconing me that day. How many of these in the world are there?
Just about to rip my 1979 185 ERN to bits & restore it. Nice work you did there. Much bigger bike than my old DT175 twinshock.
