I just saw one of these at a gas station. A woman military veteran had this on the back of her truck. She was around 65-70 years old and rides it in the National Forest here in Ocala, Florida. Looks damn near as nice as this one too! She's the original owner and has done all the work herself. What an impressive Grandma right?! I've met Soo many random people thanks to motorcycles. It's a beautiful thing isn't it?! God bless and keep on keepin on y'all 🤘
fun little fact about the early 80s "ts" series. they were the dual sports of the zukie lineup. the pure trail bike series was the "ds" series. the fun fact is that the "ts" suspension was actually better suited for offroad than the dirt only "ds" series. one example was the forks. the "ts" came with super plush longer travel LEADING AXLE forks, whereas the "ds" had the axle inline with the tubes. leading axle forks were more desirable offroad because the travel could be longer without increasing ride height because the lowers could extend down below the axle line, and of course, forks with the axle inline could extend no lower than the axle itself.
I owned one for a few seasons and it ran perfectly the entire time, you don't want to catch much air off road with the twin shocks but really good fun. That one sounds exactly like mine did
Just bought a '73.. Great bike.. Unbelievably to me - it is actually very good in the trails.. I was expecting just OK.. I was wrong.. Even back in the early 70's.., Japan had it correct..
I had one of those that I bought while it was still in the crate before it was built when they first came out. Great bike. I'd love to find another one just like it to purchase again.
@@kenbass3862its looks like its been used commiserate with its age, and I'm happy to explain how I don't know much about it. I've never communicated with someone through video comments like this before. Trying to sort out how we get in touch to discuss and I can send you photos without putting our contact info out there. Any ideas?
I have a mint 1981 ts250 fresh engine fourth over bore now rebuilt crank i also have an 81 ts 125 rebuilding engine on it to the 250 runs amazing and rides amazing for that era
Friend had one. He fell off his girlfriends horse.Broke his hip. He let me borrow this very bike. I never had soooooooo much fun. I hated to return it. On my bucket list to own one.
The Suzuki TS185 is sill being produced. Not sure which country is making them, somewhere in South America I think. They seem to be only available in white, which is a shame, as the blue and yellow one look much better.
Bought one at a yard sale for $200. Kept it outside and whipped its ass offroad daily for two years.Took all the street stuff off of it. Easily got my $200 back when I was done.
From people like me lol. I sold it to them 2 weeks ago. Once in awhile ya get lucky. I bought it from a guy that had it stored in his shed for over 20 years
If anyone wants is looking for these, I've got one of these I'd sell. No where near as nice as the one in this video, but same colors, plastics and fenders. Contact me for more info.
