These cast have become a regular part of my life. I’m extremely grateful lowko is putting out consistently quality casts. This was a game I once gave up on but I’m so glad lowko has helped rekindle the magic.
I usually watch a whole episode in one sitting with partly eating or some coffee and a breakfast bar, but sometimes it makes me want to play so much I have to pause it once I get a match loaded up and ready.
As much as I love watching Serral's strategic play or Reynor's relentlessness, watching Dark is always a good time because of how much he breaks the mold. Seeing Dark play some comps or strats I've wondered about and making them work is always cool to see, makes me wonder if Dark is secretly Bly & Serral playing archon mode.

"Before Zerg players figured out Queens were good units." No. They didn't just magically figure it out. Queens got a monstrous buff to their anti-ground range (3->5), turning them from slowroaches that shoot up (and so made mostly as extra Barracks equivalents) into something like a tanky version of the Stalker that doesn't need to research its Blink equivalent, while doubling as a Barracks. That one patch alone ushered in gasless Zerg openings, took down I don't remember if it was Hive or Greater Spire timings down to 11min from 17min, and pretty much broke the last days of WoL. It's why IPL got renamed into the Hyun Club.
I think this match helped me determine my favorite Korean Zerg player. Marines try to mask their fear with chemical stimulants as they stand guard in their bunkers, while Executors shift uneasily in their capital ships. Peering out from their 'strongholds' into the shadows beyond the perimeter and into the void of space; The Swarm is coming and it's Dark outside!
Maru in 1st game: I'm not trapped in here with you, YOU are trapped in here with ME! I'm wondering of those bio upgrades were a bait for Dark to expend a lot of resources to kill them. Although if Dark wasn't so greedy afterwards and did a roach all in he probably would have won.
High level starcraft is indeed a thing of beauty. I really dislike the term cheese though. These players are playing for a living. If you know your opponent is weak to something, use it. It's up to them to learn how to defend against it. Same with macro hatches. One of the reasons people try to guilt you against something, is to take away your power. Even the very best players in the world can miss injects when the heat is on. A macro hatch here or there can help alleviate the problem and they're not free so I say again, if it works, use it. It's crazy that zerg can out expand the other races while still staying ahead on workers, making enough army to pressure the opponent, and not have to sacrifice any base defense.

I'd argue that getting the bad spawn location in chess (black side of the board) has a bigger impact on the game than Terran's having exposed add-on placements. You could argue its not random, but we're talking about map symmetry and balance, and pretty much every competitive strategy game either has uneven spawn locations or one player getting the first turn.

It would be great if you cast more of the games from the Champions Cup, since the match ups look quite interesting. I tried watching the official casts, but they leave something to be desired.
I'm pretty sure, there's no randomness with what side of the Barracks the detachment appears. You just have to remember, that the building itself is "turned" to one particular side.
He means randomness with regard to your spawn location. If you spawn top left on that map, a double barracks wall is much more vulnerable than if you spawned bottom right and the add-ins are inside the wall.

Since your last video where Maru is no-matching lower ranked players with 1 hellion and 2 repears, I have a lot more respect for others high level players in general.

Difference between Darks and Serrals Zerg is comparable like watching Prottos play pre-balance style (Serral) vs post-balance style (Dark). I personally dont enjoy Serrals game anymore even he has epic skills and he is semigod in SC2 world, Dark Has ideas, killer instinct, and his game are so enjoyable. After watching Serral I hate the zerg, after watching Dark, I want to play that race! Great day to all!
I keep seeing that teal team color in videos and thumbnails, yet I see no option for it in my game. Is it a mod? The teal in Starcraft 2 ain’t hardly teal at all, just light blue!

Dark is one of my favorite players to watch. He plays some super fun styles of Zerg. Bly is another Zerg that comes to mind who is super fun to watch.
