I try to drive into deep puddles of clean water on the side of the roads when they are deep. I also hose down the undercarriage a few times a year. Recently I used my leaf blower to blow the under carriage and was surprised by all the sunflower hulls ( shells) that was left by chipmunks, the hulls if they get wet would cause rusting of the surfaces they were on. I also did touch up painting on areas of light rust on all I could find.

you can drill a tiny hole through the wheel well cover to spray the rust lubricant and seal it up with silicone.

I love, how a video brings people and ideas together!
The first Intention of this video was, when you bought a used car, you should check this spot because a lot of people never think about that. :)

    Ever hear of splash guards?

As you can see this is behind the garnish. I think splash guards dont change a lot.
