Kayaking Emerald Cut at King's Landing

- King's Landing (www.kingslandingfl.com/) is a launch pad which provides access to the Emerald Cut kayaking run in Apopka, FL. This facility provides reservation-based services for kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Check out the website for more information.
This video includes mixed media (DJI Osmo Action and Smart Phone video) from two separate visits to this outdoor experience. It took us approximately 90 minutes to two hours reach the bridge at Kelly Park Springs (the end of the run) after taking multiple short breaks. Floating back after reaching the end takes probably 30 minutes. During both visits, we were able to return out rental kayaks with ample time left over.
The facility includes two pretty clean restrooms, some snacks for purchase, merchandise and the occasional food truck. I strongly suggest bringing reusable containers for bottled water and food to enjoy while "soaking in" the beautiful atmosphere. This is a place you will never forget.

You can no longer paddle all the way to the bridge. But it is still a fantastic paddle.

There is a cable across the water with a Keep Out sign. It's still close enough to see the bridge

Thanks for the comment and feedback. I'll definitely try to incorporate more of the sounds of nature in my future videos. I intended to do that here but, unfortunately, my water bottle kept hitting my kayak during my paddling, making a repetitive thudding that drove me insane in editing. I tried to pick soothing lo-fi music to make up for it.

We are definitely not one of those channels that tries to give out a lot of information or facts, similar to yours it's just documenting our experiences as a family and keeping them for our own home movies that are not those stereotypical cringy ones that you have on your VHS tapes 😂
