    Chrissa, I cannot thank you enough for allowing us to tag along on this trip. My sister and I had a wonderful time. Navigating the canoe was a bit difficult at first but by the time we reached the second part, we were pros, thanks to your suggestions. Thank you again for one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Florida.

    Oh_My_Goodness! This looks so ideal! I never thought that something so beautiful existed in the US. Is there an opportunity to swim or is it too shallow, dangerous or just illegal? Sorry for the silly questions.

    • @ChrissaTravels
      @ChrissaTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi PekoniPuuma! There are areas where you can swim. At the top of the spring is Kelly Park Rock Springs - which is a swimming area. I did a video about it a while back, but I really need to update it once the weather gets a bit warmer! Kelly Park is popular because it has a natural lazy river that you can float down...and eventually turns into the Emerald Cut - which is what you see in this video. That shallow area (the area where you decide to either go left or right) at the end of Kings Landing is also a popular swimming area where you can park your crafts and swim for a bit.

    Hi Chrissa, thank you for the video. I'm planning on doing this activity but I'm literally scared about encountering alligators. What is the likelihood to meet one and do I have an option to canoe out only the crystal clear area and skip the mirky part of the spring where there may be an alligator?

    • @ChrissaTravels
      @ChrissaTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Grace! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! You can absolutely just canoe the emerald cut portion of Rock Springs Run. If you're renting or launching from Kings Landing - then you just have to turn right once you hit the end of their canal. It's only about a 2 mile run, but you can take your time and have it take most of your alloted rental time. I have never seen an alligator on the Emerald Cut side, but you can always stay cautious. Alligators don't tend to bother you unless you get too close, and even then they are more afraid of you and tend to swim away. Every one I've encountered have always swam away before I ever made it close enough to them. I am so excited for you! You are going to have an amazing time!
