You do need to place them in, as you can see at 4:00 they are where they are supposed to be. When fuelling the Helicopter I used a glitch that allows you to use two items at once. You can see me holding the Sub Headlights while using the second Gas Canister at 3:30 Several techs and discoveries went into that ultra skip at the end. A runner known as ReptilianTony found out that you could jump over the invisible wall from the Life Raft area. I knew from before that you could land on the other side of the invis wall and move out of bounds with it. When testing things with double speed with the extended settings mod, I managed to do a jump from out of bounds outside of the ship into the Sub Room, which I later managed to find a consistent way to do without the mod. This glitch was also further optimized by finding a way to lower the Life Raft earlier than intended, another thing that was first discovered by ReptialianTony and then later optimized by myself As for what settings I use with the extended settings mod... none. At least not during attempts, as that would invalidate them. For a run be valid the mod can't be active. That said, the mod has been useful for testing, and also to have fun with :)
do you mean the thing I do at 5:31 ? At the very left side of the Life Raft near the ledge, the floor sticks slightly up. If you diagonally run and jump from this point on the ground that sticks slightly up, you'll have enough speed and height to make it over the invisible wall. From there you do some extra jumps and land on the edge, while hugging the invisible wall. Then you walk along the edge, jumping whenever there's visible pillars in the way, so you don't fall down. when you get to the last set of lockers, you walk off the edge and spam jump, making sure to jump whenever possible, while you make your way to the Sub room. It takes a bit of practice, but it's not that hard once you've got the hang of it
I was really not referring to the trick to get to the submarine but the one to land without dying on the deck, but thanks anyway I understand a good day
@@salvatore2770 Ah, it is Deck 5 you jump down to from Life Raft, not Deck 1 ;) It works very similarly; just walk off the edge and spam jump, that'll do the trick!
I'm trying to speedrun a 100% run against Hunter, I started from a week and my personal best is 23:05. How did you glitch at the start? I mean, it allows you to see most of the items in the rooms near you, and it's very helpful. I wish to use this glitch to speed up my speedruns :)
If you spawn in the Upper Decks, there will be a sink in the starting room. Crouch and go completely into the corner and un-crouch. This should make you clip out of bounds (most of the time). After this, you need to move towards a room or corridor, and time a jump (you can jump while falling!) to safely get to it.
