I find the fiend to be the scariest, you never truly know how close it is until it's right on top of you. It's always tracking you compared to the brute or hunter chasing you, especially when it traps you
Actually, the hunter has a built in tracking mechanism too. When it gets out of sight or you finish a chase with it, it gets to wherever you are and when its ready pops out of a vent or an egg sac.
for a second i misread the title and thought this was just an any% speedrun of the game and i thought "surely theres no way that the world record for this game is half an hour"
Absolutely sick run, I'm more than glad to see this new category. I personally have 48 hours ingame and still haven't got all the achievements lol also, why does the timer keep going while the player loses the control? I mean, shouldn't it stop when the ending cutscene plays and resume upon the next game when you are already spawned?
Thank you! Maybe this vid could help you get the rest of the achievements? ;) Having the timer keep going was just a subjective choice I made. It was just the most practical solution. If I'd not count time spent inbetween each round, then it would be more annoying to retime the run later, and because I'm lazy I just decided to not do that
The ending cutscene at 22:58 confirms it was the fiend, each monster has a unique soundtrack or set of noises that play when beating them, and it was the Fiend's that played when I won
I can't beat the brute at all. I've never beat the brute. Beat Hunter 3 times. And fiend 4 times. I can't beat brute because I have some trauma over loud noises when I was a wee lad. And the brute is literally so loud like his footsteps are super loud and not to mention while he's chasing you he let's out super loud roars which make him sound right behind you and it freaks me out. I wanna get over my fear of the brute but it's super difficult getting over that trauma. But seeing you just zoom around and not even care about the brute amazes me. I can easily go against fiend and hunter. Because they don't scream at you when violently trying to snap your neck or munch on your face. And it doesn't help that brute is the fastest monster in the game so when I hear him behind me I think that he literally is faster than me and it scares me so bad. Plus it also doesn't help that he's a hulking figure that loomes above your head at all times
@@im_learning_bicth thank u man. It has gotten moderately better but I still cant beat him I can maneuver around when hes near but when he sees me I panic
I was completed the monstrum for about 15 min with fiend I escaped with life raft I really lucky because all items I needed to escape was on starting floor
Where is "Let there be light" achievement? As far as I remember, the achievement will not be given if you insert a fuse into the shield in the engine room.
You need to power 2 areas with Fuses (Power-Locked Doors not included), which I did In the first game, by powering the Engine Room (6:50) and Sub Room (10:22)
For the Hunter im having problems trying to alert the green eggs with glass, radio still wont give the achievement like when i throw it it wont go far or just aint loud enough
a little tip: whenever you see the green eggs, the Hunter is only inside 1 and only 1 of them, so if you throw something past one of them, he's not in there. So you just gotta try it until you get it. Also the eggs in the containers doesn't count as eggs, so don't bother trying it with those, hope you get it!
So do you have to hit the egg directly or just close enough? Plus is there any ways to tell what egg he might be hiding in? Just escaped the hunter via sub and for some reason he gave up after I blocked the middle vent, was I just lucky or is that a bug.
It was to make the Brute smash down the broken door to the maste steam valve, on the bottom floor of the Engine Room. Once the door was smashed open, I went further down, and used the phones to lure the Brute back up, so I could turn the valve without the Brute there
The Hunter will be hiding inside one and only one of those egg sacks, so you need to be lucky to throw an item past the one he's inside of to lure him out
I have monstrum on my ps4 i have all the acheivments except for hit the brute with a flare and lure the hunter from its egg sac and for me idk where the eggs sacs spawn when i do see them they just despawn
The Flare Gun can only be found inside Power Locked rooms or Barricaded ones, meaning it's possible it's not present on the map. Coupled with the fact that you need to use it on the Brute makes it one of the harder ones to complete, and is therefore the first one I go for in speedruns. The Hunter one is also one of the harder ones. The way the Hunter works is that he's usually not present in the map, but hiding in the vents. As time goes on, he'll get closer and closer to emerging, and you can hear this as he starts to make more sounds in the vents. At a certain point he'll emerge and if he does, one of two things will happen. If you're close to a vent or a wall outside of the ship, he'll emerge very close to you. If you're not close to such a spot, i.e. if you're in a room, he'll trap the outside corridors with eggsacks. That is what you want. You can see in the video at 16:38 that I look myself in the top floor in the ship and just wait a bit, and then I open the doors and look around very very carefully. He'll usually spawn multiple sacs, but he will only be inside one of them. It is very important you're careful around these eggsacks, as if you accidentally run into one you risk triggering him, meaning you have to wait for him to do it again, which can take a lot of time. So basically what I recommend is to start a game, play around a bit, find out that you're playing against the hunter based on the sounds, collect smashables, and then hide inside the top floor like I did for a while, and then occasionally check to see if he's set up the traps, at which point you try to throw the smashables past them. If nothing happens, that means he's in another eggsack. Keep in mind that sometimes it can take a long time for the eggsacks to spawn. Hope this helps!
I lure the monster to the bottom, to make him break down the broken door. then I lure him back up to the top so I can safely turn the Master Steam Valve for the achievement
God I hate the fiend the only achievement stopping me from going platinum and he's the one blocking the gate.🤬 I think the fiend is a little to OP compared to the other monsters, I mean c'mon teleporting to the door your nearest is OP!
@@Datsycokidd The best advice I can give on the brute is to juggle him. If you hear him on the same side of the ship that your on, immediately jump to the other side, like as soon as you hear him. I tend to use the cameras and buzzers to juggle him.
