The military industrial complex is evil, but the soliders deserve respect.
Especially the respect of not sending more boys out there.

The 94th Congress snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. From then on, the U.S. military had to listen to the Left's incessant trope that the U.S. had been defeated in Vietnam.

    Victor Davis Hanson; 21:30 - 25:50
22:00 the USA got involved in Vietnam to support French colonialism.
22:11 The USA supported France from 1946; without USA aid,France would not have been able to fight in Vietnam.
22:49 in violation of the 1954 Geneva accords, the USA created South Vietnam.
23:18 NVN would not “settle“ with Johnson, because the USA was a foreign invader
23:45 in the 1973 Paris Accords, The USA recognized Vietnam as one nation, with the North v South question to be decided by the Vietnamese.
24:05 The 1973 Paris Accords, signed by Pres. Nixon(R), stipulated that the USA would not interfere in Vietnam’s internal affairs.
24:30 there was a lot happening in USA in 1960s, not just the war.
24:50 from 1945, everything that happened in Vietnam was political, not militarily necessary.
Vietnam, under Ho Chi Minh, wanted to be a USA ally.
The USA chose to support France.
The French were the invaders and aggressors.
In 1960, Le Duan, a hardline Communist, replaced Ho Chi Minh.
Everything that happened in Vietnam from 1945, probably would not have happened if the USA had supported liberty and freedom for Vietnam instead of French colonialism.
