      Do you believe Oreally? This rag is just his opinion, with which many do not agree. He is not an authority on anything or anyone, not even himself. Who cares if a president was a drinker or was disliked? Look at LBJ, who he ranked third worst, ever heard of the civil rights act? Or his ability to get legislation passed? He was stuck with that damn war. Interesting that the shitty presidents were nearly democrats and top 5 were republicans. The criticisms he lays on Biden were inherited from Trump I. And OMG he says if Andrew Jackson had been president there would have been no civil war. What about the fear among the nascent industrialists in the north seeing a growing disparity in wealth with many of the wealthiest Americans living on the Mississippi River between Jackson Mississippi and New Orleans. Cotton, crops, sugar cane, etc. And the southern economy was fueling the development of manufacturing and railroads, causing the smart people in the north to foresee that the south with their slaves might soon own the north unless reforms were made. These people, north and south, were trying to learn how to have and run a good country. Thank God it all worked out. Sorry for all that history pontificating, got carried away.

      Nope. I’m a naysayer on this one. Terrible listing and really bad history. At no point does O’Reilly even ask if something is Constitutional or not. Tyler and Buchanan and Pierce are bad presidents in part because they did nothing about slavery and the looming civil war. At no point did I hear Bill say what they were supposed to do let alone how it would be Constitutional for them to do what he thinks they should have done. The Fugitive Slave Act was in the Constitution and as such Pierce had to enforce it. He did not believe that he could pick and chose what parts of the Constitution he was going to enforce or not. Lincoln himself enforced the Fugitive Slave Act as president up until his dying day. If Pierce gets criticized for that then so should Lincoln.

It has Regan done up like Rambo attacking Gadhafi with a dog body. It think I got it in 85 or 86. I just rewatched the challenger speech the other day. The man was amazing. All I could think was wow, I can't imagine Biden or Trump doing it so well. Something like this: I know loss my son died also. Look you know the thing... Or: it was a big explosion, a large explosion, not as big as a Rosie O'Donnell on the toilet after taco bell explosion but I have seen larger explosion, some say Trump how is it possible that you have seen larger explosions.. I agree with you. Also he was a big fan of Stalin which was the reason why the Soviet Union was able to take over Eastern Europe. Plus if you pay attention to the New deal is the parallel equivalent of what Adolf Hitler was doing in Germany. To improve the economy of Germany during the Nazis time. If it wasn't for Congress and how our constitution was set up Roosevelt would have wanted to do the same thing that Hitler was doing all the way down to a t when it came to the economy. Also remember he sent a boatload of Jewish people back to Europe to get killed

    • @thefreeman8791
      @thefreeman8791 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah. O’Reilly is a bad historian. Also, his reasons on why Franklin Pierce was a bad president are completely ignorant of who Pierce was and what was going on. He criticizes Pierce for being pro slavery, which he was not, and then cites his enforcement of the Fugitive Slave Act and signing of the Kansas Nebraska Act as evidence. First off, Pierce did not believe that he could just ignore whatever laws he didn’t like and that as president he had to enforce them all equally until the law changes. Secondly, Abraham Lincoln enforced the Fugitive Slave Act when he was president yet he is O’Reilly’s #1 best president. Pierce did sign the Kansas Nebraska Act but it was because he believed that it would settle the slavery issue. Sure we disagree with it today but back then it was sold as being the bill that would bring peace. O’Reilly also accused Pierce of being a drunk and being politically unfeeling. Franklin Pierce and his wife literally watched their son get decapitated in front of them in a train wreck right after Pierce was elected. Pierce’s wife went into very deep depression and Pierce ended up turning to the bottle because of all of the crap that ge had to deal with. Trying to find peace in a country about to break apart, dealing with a suicidally depressed wife, and seeing his son being gruesomely killed in a train accident drive him there. Maybe he should have resigned his office but I don’t blame him for his problems as he was in a very very horrible situation and O’Reilly doesn’t care. Also, his reasoning on Tyler and Buchanan is dumb as well. They did nothing. Buchanan blames Congress. If the Constitution does not grant them authority then they shouldn’t do anything about it. And also, it is not true that Buchanan did not try to reinforce the forts. He did but they were fired on and had to turn around. So O’Reilly is making crap up.

    Maybe because I served 20 years in the US Navy, eight of those under Reagan, therefore he should have been in the top five. When Carter was president the morale was at the lowest point. Reagan not only brought down the Soviet Union and created a strong economy, but he helped to raise the spirits of the American people especially those serving in the armed forces!!!

      When even your political opponent is cracking up at a joke aimed at him, you know the guy was talented. I was at the debate when he said, “I will not make age an issue during this campaign. I will not exploit, for political purposes, my opponent’s [Mondale] youth and inexperience.“ 😂
      Contrast that with poor Dan Quayle who showed he was offended by Lloyd Bentsen’s crack about him being “no John Kennedy.” I wish he’d said, “that’s a relief” or something like it. It’s politics. You can’t take it personally.

    I do not agree with FDR making the list. The only qualifier I’d give him is that his leadership was goodish during the war, but everything else with him was awful. His dictator ambitions, his inaction causing Pearl Harbor, his introduction of mass government programs/socialist leanings, the federal alphabet, etc. just awful. We still are dealing with his nonsense today, and hell the government couldn’t even manage social security so they’re gonna run that dry. I do not agree with bill on this

      I mean John Tyler was married twice so not really. He was an interesting president and I actually like him as president. Many people tend to include a president’s personal views and personal life when ranking them and that is dumb. How many kids Tyler had or if Grover Cleveland had a child out of wedlock or not is irrelevant to if they were a good president or not. Thomas Jefferson once said that the best way to view a politician was how they kept their oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the way that we know how they held to that is to view the Constitution “as understood and interpreted by the conventions in what they were promised that the Constitution meant by the proponents of it at the time.” If you go by that criteria, which I agree with, then Tyler actually fairs much better than FDR or Wilson or Teddy Roosevelt.

    • @wayneantoniazzi2706
      @wayneantoniazzi2706 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      True. Aside from Jefferson's personal slaves (who he freed) all the Montecello slaves were part of the plantations assets. Jefferson's creditors let him live on the property until he died out of respect but as soon as he was gone they were taking the whole place, slaves and all.
      Washington wanted to end his reliance on slaves, he'd been developing moral qualms about the instituion for years and the performance of Black soldiers in the Revolution made those qualms even worse. The only way out of it was to free his slaves on his death when he wouldn't need them anymore. (Obviously.) Not a perfect solution but it was the only one he could come up with. Also as part of his will he broke up the Mount Vernon estate leaving parcels to various relatives so they wouldn't need all those slaves either.
      I forgot to add earlier Washington stipulated in his will that the slaves were to be educated in the basic "Three R's" ('readin' , 'ritin', 'rithmatic) as well so they could function in the world as free men and women and not be at a disadvantage.

      @wayneantoniazzi2706 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@detroitblack258 Any auctions at Montecello after Jefferson's death would have been his creditors selling off the siezed assets and that certainly would have included slaves along with household goods, parcels of property and livestock. However as I mentioned earlier Jefferson DID have his personal slaves not part of the Montecello estate (Sally Hemmings and her family, males and females) and they were freed by Jefferson. But that was a far as he could go.
