Guys, I really need your advice. I rented 2 inokim ox super for a day, and after some time riding it I took my friend's charger and tried to plug it into mine scooter (cuz we rented the same scooters, right?😅😅), and the charger and charging port burned. I didn't look at the cable, but it turned out to be 2 different chargers. So today when we brought them back to the scooter shop they said that they can try to repair it for 35€, but if the charger won't work after I will have to pay for a new charger (90€). So, if 35€ repair won't work i will have to pay 125€ total. Do you guys have any ideas what to choose in my situation? Really don't wanna spend more than 35€, but I don't know is the charger broken inside. Thanks.
That's very unusual to have two different chargers for the same scooter. What could have happened is that the metal ring around the charger bridged two of the contacts on the scooter's charge port and caused a big spark. Most likely the new charge port will fix it, and $35 euro seems like a reasonable price, since it includes some labor. I really doubt that the charger is damaged. If it is, see if you can pick up a replacement on ebay or something, because that seems like a lot of money for a charger. -Paul
@JoshTheMacGuy thx for such a nice answer, I will try to make them not start repairing that part and just buy a new charger. Hope they will let me keep the broken charger so i will fix it by myself and sell then :D
Remember the ox comes in 3 different voltages 48-52-60v, potentially your friends charger was a higher/lower voltage. It's critical to get that correct otherwise it can run the risk of cooking the BMS if the fuse doesn't blow out fast enough.
So, for those who are interested in the end of the story, changing the connector for 35€ worked, but because I didn't have any time left to fix the scooter by myself (rent time was out) they fixed it for 100€. Total is 135€, most stupid and expensive mistakes I ever made :D
The man who designed and created the Slack is the same man who built my SST when he worked for Weped.Mine is a beefed up version of an SST so it's somewhat quicker then other SST'S.
I have been eyeing on Wolf King GTR; I am just trying to find justification as to how I will explain this to my wife when I eventually have one in my garage.

Looking at the new scooters out (or about to be out) - the Wolf King GTR & the Inmotion RS, both of these scooters score really well in the top speed tests and also in the 0-30 tests. It looks like these are both winners and I'd be happy to own either. I can't really justify owning both, so I've gone with the Inmotion RS, but I doubt that anyone opting for the GTR would regret that choice. I just need to sell my old gen 1 Kaabo Mantis Pro to make some space for the new scooter, I have too many PEVs (E-MTB, 3 x EUCs and a scooter) as well as my 1,000cc motorcycle.

The question is, which one is Durable or Reliable? spending $1000s just to speed up to 100km-+ then breaks down after few 1000km is expensive. Which one from the above list is best to cover 50k miles or more without changing any hardware, this is the real winner here.
That’s such a great question, especially with expensive scooters. The non-boutique scooters win hands down. But honestly for 50k miles of high-ish speed transportation my money is on the Apollo Pro. -Paul

Sorry. I feel ya. I can't even tell you how much my heart sunk the first time I mashed the throttle and nothing happened. We'll keep trying. It was weeks between unboxing it and being able to ride, because at first we had no charger, then a charger but the wrong plug and then the right plug but a scooter that wouldn't go. By the time we finally rode it and it didn't really go, we had already delayed the whole video a couple weeks for this one scooter and we had to move on. :-( -Paul

I've been in touch with the US importer. We're hoping he will bring one to RiderFest in October. His shipment should arrive at about that time. The funny think about Slack Core is it's made by Numo who made Wepeds for a while as a contract manufacturer. From what I've heard, they made some unauthorized Wepeds after Weped Korea pulled the plug on them and then went on to do their own thing with the Slack Core scooters. Odd name, but very convincing speed runs on TH-cam. I wish I had the test track they use! -Paul
I purchased the WKGTR a month ago and not gonna lie I'm having buyers remorse :( I can't even return it the acceleration is great when I need it but I feel like the pricing is mostly based on the top speed(which I will never hit, it feels way too sketchy over 50mph) so if anyone is looking to buy one think again, how often will you actually need the speed? Never yeah.. it can be fun for a quick adrenaline rush but imo fast scooters aren't really worth it, but you do you with your life :) just sharing my opinion
Oh wow, my begode master beats all of these in 0-30mph according to Kuji Rolls. No wonder my kaabo wolf worrior 11 feels slower, still fun in a different way though.
$4k for a vehicle that you wouldn't want to hit a pothole with going 50+ mph. Not sure who desires these "fast" scooters, but it's quite ridiculous. I'll take a light weight, portable, reasonably priced commuter scooter any day.
It's so strange, I really thought we had done a review, but I'm only finding this deep dive which we have un-listed, but I think you can still watch it with this link. It was a while ago though. I think it has had a couple updates since then. -Paul th-cam.com/users/livepweJyOfIKsw
Not sure if you delt with the Weped limp mode, but watching some korean videos, it seems it's a speed limit made due to legal issue in south korea. Can't find the method yet, but if you guys haven't found the way yet, I'll try to dm some korean youtubers to see how things are done to avoid that limit. It's a shame, I know due to legal issue, they can't really tell you about it directly.
I was so dissapointed the first time I mashed the throttle. It has already been weeks of waiting on a charger, then waiting on an adapter so we could use the charger, so when it finally just failed to really go, we were beyond out of time with this scooter. We'll try again at some point. I'm hoping to get hands on with a Slack Core as well. -Paul

I got the T88 PLUS. Its range is a giant at top speed of 50 MPH 45 miles on going mostly full throttle and a 33 Ah battery pack. This beast weighs in at over 120 LBs and is not portable. It was made to ride to work(garage) and back at 17.6 miles one way. I wanted to take away some days of driving to work on Gas. I did remove the seat and seat plate. Turbo only goes on at speed 33MPH and then it's safe enough to use top gear. From North Scottsdale to downtown Phoenix all winter fun some trail and dirt and some asphalt as well. Zero Speed wobble and big dual motorcycle style fork and shocks with good hydraulic brakes and only 1450.00 it's far cheaper than everything listed anywhere. Not meant for rain. I live in the desert and I do not care. Any of many of but not all of those C shapes front suspension systems suck and will inherently wobble making them very dangerous scooters except the Wolf king GT is a straight fork like the T88 PLUS. The fork should be directly aligned with the axil. The C shaped front suspension looks cool. That is why people buy it, but it's dangerous at high speeds. The use of a steering damper shows poor design was involved. Don't waste your money.
You guys missed out on the turbo wheel phateon, 84 volt scooter 2880 wh, claims 60 MPH but I've actually gotten it up to 70 and had it confirmed on a flat road with a car real time I love my collector's item
Please stop trampolining the scooter deck as an evaluation of suspension. It doesn't tell us anything about how suspension actually performs in the context is was designed to. Providing actual suspension travel specs, design choices and trade-offs, low mounted camera as you traverse a course designed to challenge the suspension, etc would give us much more useful information.
Good input. I love diving into the details. It's always tricky to find a concise way to do that. Suspension travel is really hard to measure on electric scooters. On a motorcycle or car one could just take the springs out and swing it from min to max, but on scooters sometime it's actually the coils binding that gives you your max, sometimes it's the two-halves of the shock bottoming out against each other, almost never it's an external bump-stop in the swingarms somewhere, and on the rubber-based suspension like most of the Dualtrons, it's hard to say where it stops, since the response of the rubber sort of goes non-linear. I like the idea of the low mounted camera though, that's one we've been working on. The deck-bouncing started before I arrived here three years ago. When I was racing motorcycles, I found it really useful to gauge spring rate, sag and damping, and it's fun to do. But we'll work on the other stuff. -Paul
No way Mosphera does 100kmh/62mph with it's 48V battery. I used to have 48V scooter and on the max charge the free spin speed was 68km/h. Oh and I don't really think Teverun is a part of Minimotors product line. I have Teverun Fighter 11+. Teverun is more like a collab between Blade and Minimotors but most of the compomenents are not from Minimotors. It has LED strips like Dualtron and same folding mechanism as Thunder 3 but that's all. It doesn't have motors from Minimotors nor their square wave controllers and Eye3 or 4 display. It has thumb throttle and sinewave controllers. It has same hydraulic shocks as Nami Burn-e, same display, same buttons for the display and for the turn signals and horn. Also the front light is almost the same. I noticed Nami is now switching to the same NFC reader as I have on Teverun.
We mention the boutique scooters toward the end of the video. Top speeds on Rions are not well documented so far. There are no two-direction runs that I’m aware of, but I’m hoping to get some data from a Nior owner soon.
Total is 135€, most stupid and expensive mistakes I ever made :D
does rider guide have any plans on testing the teverun fighter supreme?
We are trying to obtain one!
Nice

Man, these scoots make my Ghost seem inadequate 😂
The man who designed and created the Slack is the same man who built my SST when he worked for Weped.Mine is a beefed up version of an SST so it's somewhat quicker then other SST'S.
I have been eyeing on Wolf King GTR; I am just trying to find justification as to how I will explain this to my wife when I eventually have one in my garage.
Haha that’s a great scooter for sure!
What do you think of the iENYRID M4 scooter, I don't know much about this topic, but its price in relation to its characteristics is very good, but I trust your opinion!
We have not heard of that brand!
Have you ever ridden the Dualtron City? I really like the idea of those larger diameter tires!
We have not tested that scooter! -Vosk
Where should i get a dualtron from (needs to deliver to the uk)
Try voromotors
Are you ever going to test nami blast max thanks
Should be in early 2024!
I’m good with twenty on my ninebot. I would straight die on one of these beautiful monsters
It’s a beast for sure!
I love the disclaimer at the end with the You might die right in the middle.
:-) Hopefully my wife won't watch that part -Paul
Can you do an updated list for bigger riders? big and tall.
Excellent idea! -Paul
WEPED : Dark Knight = 80mph. WEPED : SONIC S = 106mph. WEPED : Ghost = 112mph
I’d love to see two direction speed runs on those. Please share links if you’ve seen anyone do them. The Slack Core has the best two direction speed test I’ve seen, but it’s technically not using the same piece of pavement for its opposite direction run. -Paul
We have slack in turkey, last week i drove one, it is insane, no scooter can challange it i bet
We should see that one at RiderFest!
I'm totally with you, Paul. I'd love to try the Slack Core 920R too!

wanna test our stock looking G30? going 134kmh gps
has titanium

Very good video Paul!!👌
Bronco extreme 11 is best seller in France!!
About Weped SST and FS... Top speed is 70 miles gps..!!😘
Interesting about Bronco in France. I had no idea they were so popular there. This is why I love the comments section so much!
Have you got any two-direction speed run data on the Wepeds? GPS single direction only gets us within about +/- 8 mph (+/- 13kph) -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide i can understand what you say Paul about 2 directions measurements... But in my country (Greece 🇬🇷) we have ONLY 2 Weped (SST and FS) and owners are in an other town from me... So definitely the top speed tells you is one direction..😉
But you put me in thoughts about my scooter top speed...🤔
Next days i will measure my scooter 2 directions and calculate the top speed..😘
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuidePaul for 1200$ you can buy a frame of bronco extreme 11 and make it as you like...😉

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuidemy friends gtr he got it new about a week ago is doing the same thing and he also doesn't know what's going on, he took it to some professionals to figure out the problem and fix it, it could be controller issue no clue
Both are excellent options! -Vosk
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideJust Bought the Kaabo GTR in Black. Its an absolute beast and the looks match. One of the best ever byes of my life. Your review help! I bouggt it direct of Kaabo in China as Im based here. Heaps cheaper too
The question is, which one is Durable or Reliable? spending $1000s just to speed up to 100km-+ then breaks down after few 1000km is expensive.
-Paul
I get nervous riding at 22mph 40+ is insane. You're instantly dead if anything goes wrong 😢
Yes very dangerous! We always recommend the best safety gear
yeah lol, i crashed at 20mph on a gotrax g4, and have a stage 3 ac separation.. now have a scooter that does 45+ but it has a seat. i definitely like the seat, makes it more like a motorcycle. but yeah, i also wear about full motorcycle gear now when riding any of em lol. im definitely nervous at speeds now 🤣
Got me so hyped for the Weped top speed run 😔
Sorry. :-( -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide no worries, this confirms the reliability (or a lack therof) of weped scooters.
FYI - never heard of the Slack Core 920r until watching this video, so thanks for the content! Or no thanks bc now I want to sell my Nami and fork out extra cash for it! That scooter was made just for you! Lol.
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks for the details, Paul. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these. And, agreed, an "interesting" name indeed 😅
It would be nice to see some more affordable rides around 2K, thanks.
Interesting idea. $2k scooters don’t make the list of fastest-outright, but yeah, we could totally make “Fastest under $xxx”

I purchased the WKGTR a month ago and not gonna lie I'm having buyers remorse :( I can't even return it
the acceleration is great when I need it but I feel like the pricing is mostly based on the top speed(which I will never hit, it feels way too sketchy over 50mph)
so if anyone is looking to buy one think again, how often will you actually need the speed? Never yeah..
it can be fun for a quick adrenaline rush but imo fast scooters aren't really worth it, but you do you with your life :) just sharing my opinion
Thanks for your experience! Noted
Oh wow, my begode master beats all of these in 0-30mph according to Kuji Rolls. No wonder my kaabo wolf worrior 11 feels slower, still fun in a different way though.

RION is afraid to give us one to test!
Thanks for watching and for your feedback. I’ll look that one up. -Paul
First... greats from the Netherlands
We’ll done! Thanks for getting this party started! -Paul
You guys missed out on the turbo wheel phateon, 84 volt scooter 2880 wh, claims 60 MPH but I've actually gotten it up to 70 and had it confirmed on a flat road with a car real time I love my collector's item
Rare scooter indeed! I had no idea they made an 84V version. Enjoy! -Paul
-Paul
The way the rear tire bounces uncontrollably on the GTR when he does that is scary.
thanks for saying that we should not try the speed runs - i fully agree, too dangerous.
Rion RE90 Race Edition :))🔥🔥 100mph
In theory! RION is scared to have their scooters actually tested by the pros.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide yes its possible but only in unrestriced mode. factory default is 80mph
Very insightful! Thanks for sharing. -Vosk
What about rion at 90mph
Where's the re90??? 😮
We mention the boutique scooters toward the end of the video. Top speeds on Rions are not well documented so far. There are no two-direction runs that I’m aware of, but I’m hoping to get some data from a Nior owner soon.
I honestly thought Rion was done, until a few weeks ago since they hadn’t shipped any scooters in ages, but they seem to be making a comeback with new deliveries on the Apex and Nior.
