    Im new to scooters. Started with a simple 18mph gotrax, upgraded recently to the emove cruiser S, I haven't even attempted the approximate top speed of 30mph, 25 mph for me is more than enough. These types of scooters are for real serious adrenaline junkies. When I eventually want more speed , I'll upgrade to a nice E Bike . The technology is advancing so fast that I would only feel comfortable going 30-50 mph+ if im on a bike. These scooters are incredible but also extremely dangerous. The acceleration is more than most people can handle safely.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      It's true. I meant to put a whole section in here about how any of the scooters on this list can kill you if you don't respect them. -Paul

      I partly second that even though I prefer e-scooters and have never ridden any e-bike. It's just not my thing.
      It's overly fast and therefore dangerous.
      I prefer going like 45mph maximum.
      And even going like 20mph+ on your e-scooter you still gotta be really cautious and observant, especially if you're a newbie.
      I've ridden for like 2000+ miles on different e-scooters, but eventually crashed going just like 20-25mph because I got distracted just for a sec and caught a bump or a rock. Whatever.
      Broke my collarbone and shoulder blade :)
      6 weeks of healing and wearing a sling, 4 weeks ahead :)
      So cautiousness is a key.

    • @kangwang1970
      @kangwang1970 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Scooters are especially dangerous beyond 20 miles per hour. The rider needs to be able to wear the protective gear correctly. Brace for the moment you hit the ground to give you support and reduce injuries.

    • @gnosis7188
      @gnosis7188 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @kangwang1970 For sure, anything over 25mph on a scooter is fast. I took my first nasty spill the first day I upgraded to a more powerful scooter. Instead of playing it safe and getting a feel for the ride , I foolishly decided it would be fun to hit a speed bump full throttle at 25+ mph to catch some air time. Big Mistake on my part, I crashed my brand new scooter on the first day and almost really injured myself. It was completely my fault, I thought I for sure damaged my scooter badly , but to my amazement, the only thing broken was my cell phone holder, which was just an accessory. Kudos to the build quality of the Emove Cruiser S , my body sustained far more damage than the scooter did. The only thing damaged was a little scraped paint. I now have a whole new respect for this machine and ride with gloves , light elbow pads, and a safe helmet ⛑️ 🪖 to ensure that if I ever do fall again, im more prepared and will walk away from the crash unfazed.

    • @kangwang1970
      @kangwang1970 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@gnosis7188 Yes, the protective gear is so important that when you fall, you will be more calm and less panicked, less hurt.

    I'd love to see an "ease of regular maintenance score" in your videos.
    Questions asked in this section would look like:
    How easy is it to change tires and/or tubes?
    How easy is it to change brake components?
    I really hate spending so much money on a piece of equipment that is such a headache to maintain.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Great suggestion. It has been part of the reliability score since the beginning, but we haven’t broken it out as its own thing. Most of the numbers that go into the reliability score have to do with things like warranty length and what type of tires, etc, but there is an “ease of maintenance score” that I subjectively assign, which gets calculated into the overall reliability score. -Paul

      @satoril928 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yeah, I have a friend that mentioned he has a few scooters that he no longer rides, because he found it impossible to change tires/tubes on them. It sucks to drop hundreds/thousands on something only to not be able to use it because of a normal thing like getting a flat.

    After watching your reviews, got the Wolf Warrior X base model, because of the sine wave controllers and their superior speed control.
    Now, after watching this review, glad I did. That thing looks more like "work" than "fun" to cooperate at full chooch.
    Also that thing will go through tyres in days, and everyone loves paying for and changing escooter tyres, so that's nice.
    But, sure this thing will find a market in the land of muscle cars. Where quarter mile and straight line speed is all that matters.

    I'd actually like to see your reviews include the ACTUAL tire size listed on the sidewall of the tire. A lot of companies will just say 11" tires or something when the actual sidewall might read 90/65-6.5 or 90/60-6.5, so for those people who want to immediately swap knobbies for PMTs they can order the right size without having to wait until they get the scooter to get the correct size. I noticed people been buying the shit out of the nanrobotLS7+ 72v cause i checked back on there wesbite and its out of stock again, maybe because of my reviews of it idk lol. But anyways, that XTR structure kinda looks like a vsett super 72 too maybe on steroids compared to the vsett super72. Some tweeks that would of been a nice touch to this XTR would of been like 4 piston brakes instead of 2 piston nutt brakes, maybe 3 lighting modes for the headlight but yea brighter, & probably like 13 inch wheels cause why not lol. But if it did have size 13 or 14 hopefully it wouldn't perform badly like the teverun 7260R that thing is a flop. I kinda don't like how manufacturers don't be including that flat proof gel like on the wolf king GTR that pretty crucial buts it's like they don't care or idk. The RoadRunner RX7 won't have that feature so that kinda ticked me off. Nobody likes to be replacing tires over punctures or patching it it's unpleasant.

    If you get caught on the street or bike lanes speeding like that it's going to be taken by the cops. The top speed is of no use on the regular street and is a WASTE of money. There are plenty of scooters that can go 50-60mph with better range (battery) for 1/3 to 1/2 of the price of this.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It’s absolutely true. Speeds above about 40mph are completely useless. That’s why we’re leaning into the 0 to 30 times more and more. Top speed is really a proxy for power, which is harder to measure. Hill climb is also a great measure of output power, but as a stand-alone measurement hill climb time is harder, because X number of seconds to climb a 200ft long 20ft-rise hill doesn’t mean anything without a whole table of other scooters to compare it to. So we’re sort of stuck with top speed as the easiest to understand easiest to measure proxy for output power. Some day I would love to have a dynamometer to measure output power, but it would have to be able to engage and measure both wheels at the same time. -Paul

    Wow. Impressive, especially the battery quality/size versus the price! A couple of things I wish it didn’t have for the price. A lot of switches are generic and visible on most of the other Chinese made ones. The off road tires look like generic ones sold on a lot of other scooters. It would be nice to start seeing some more innovation and bespoke designs in those two areas…

      Yeah, I feel like they got the hard parts right, like the suspension and the fire extinguisher, which I should have mentioned more than just in the intro. But the cockpit doesn’t quite keep up with the rest of it. Mainly the ECO/Turbo and signal switches. The dash is really good. -Paul

  • @user-kk7rx2yh7h
    @user-kk7rx2yh7h 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    If they ever lower the price on this particular scooter, I'm gonna try to purchase as many as I can because this is a proper scooter well built and fast , like he said it a mixture of all the great scooter placed into one scooter and the front suspension is the best ever.. to customize this scooter would not be difficult.. as far as speed it's fast enough..
    I don't know if you know or not but on my zero 10x electric scooter it comes on 10" tires but I added a custom steering damper and placed 11" tires on it and changed the p setting to 10.5" for the 11" tires I placed on it.. it's a way smoother ride and it makes the suspension softer .. so on this scooter I would replace the 11" tires with 12" tires and I can imagine how much better the total scooter would preform.. I want one of these and they should send me one for telling everyone my secret why my scooter rides better than everyone else's.. the secret is to place steering dampers and always go up in size when it comes down to the tires plus the oversized tires last alot long because you don't burn out as much on the take off...

      We finally fixed the ridefinder tool on the ESG site. It's got all of our test data loaded there, so you can search and filter directly. -Paul

    The Teewing and RS are side by side and you can only have one. Which one are you jumping on, and why? People want to know because most don’t have the luxury of having both.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's so hard. Someone asked this earlier. I think the RS is a much better looking scooter, being so long and low. I also prefer the throttle response of the RS. But I love the suspension, the over all power and the huge battery of the XTR. I also like that you get the big battery for a much lower price. But.... the RS looks so good. I'm really torn. When I'm on the fence, I have to watch out because I tend to gravitate toward whatever is newest, and that's not the best reason. But right now I'm fascinated by the XTR. -Paul

      @bdog7262 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I too like the suspension on the xtr, but I feel the front is very limited in travel having that link connected to it. I also don’t understand how having a bigger battery than the RS it has less range.
      I also got to believe that the handling between the two are very different because of the difference in the rake on the front. Can you shed some light on these differences please?

    Yes, it's fast. Yes, it's powerful. Yes, it's scary as hell riding at 60mph... because you know it's quick-design Chinese engineering. When will they come out with a scooter that foregoes all that insane potential speed, silly RGB lights and silly erector-set aesthetics for something that is solid quality, cool and smart aesthetics, efficient performance and made to last for 15 years under harsh conditions. I think that would sell. Closest thing I've found is my Okai Panther.. but while that looks good, it's still not made to last. It is possible though to make serious quality that lasts.... BMW, Mercedes, Honda and Volvo did it in the 1970's and 1980's with cars and motorcycles... they were bombproof, crazy reliable and also moderately priced.
