IMO Azalea STOMPS. The only minor things I have wrong with it is that I think the headsculpt is slightly underwhelming and doesn't look as good as the other two and the alt mode is slightly worse (even though it still looks good), but honestly that's barely an issue compared to how much better it does in every other aspect. The proportions are the best, the backpack is amazingly clean, and the transformation is the most fun and simple. These are things that are super important for an arcee toy, and this one does it so gracefully.
Fanstoys Arcee looks like an Amazonian warrior-woman. Takara's looks like a stay-at-home mom.

What does the Ocular Max Azazal look like?
FYI, I mistransformed the front of FT rouge in car mode, it doesn't change the results but I wanted to be transparent about it.
Takara has by far the best alt mode, and as you have said, the simplest transformation. Both of these go hand in hand with that large backpack.
Fans Toys has the best over all bot mode, but it simply has wild engineering.
MMC has by far, the best engineering, but they kind of side stepped being fully G1 (in my opinion, Arcee has one of the best G1 designs, due in part because of her perfect proportions, unlike almost every other bot which have cartoonish proportions, something which the figures have had to improve upon).
We have the right ingrediants, they're just split into three figures.

It all depends what you want the figure to do:
Most people feel fanstoys has the best sculpt
The Takara has the best articulation (minus outward hips) and car mode.
MMC is the perfect in between with it looking better than the Takara but being better articulated than the fanstoys. It also has the most fun transformation.
None of them are truly a bad purchase, it just depends what you want the figure to do.
I chose the MMC and I'm very happy with her and she poses well on my shelf. But all three of them have a place, it all just depends what you value the most. There's no real reason to bash the others because they all went for different things. Whichever you chose just reveals what you value most as a collector.

As someone who likes to play Transformers with his daughter, I find the MMC to be the best since its not sexualized at all. Also, the width of the shoulders relative to the body makes it seem like a more imposing figure. It looks like a robot and one you don't wanna mess with. This is an improvement over the original design in my estimation.
Great review comparisons, I’m happy with the FT version of Arcee but will for sure get the TT Arcee as that alt mode is beautifully done.

I prefer both MP-51 and MMC Azalea because they are both able to hold tons of dynamic poses whereas FT Rouge is fairly limited and has a tendency to topple over plus the transformation on both TT and MMC's Arcee's don't feel like total spaghetti
A few notes:
If you compare the little details anywhere on the figure, then the TT is most true to the animation. That said, the silhouette is not true to it, so in that respect Rouge still wins. It honestly reminds me of the way FT usually takes the animation and makes the proportions more super-heroic and "mature," but TT is not getting the same kind of reception most likely because of the chest (which is fair).
A lot of people like Rouge's face, but the resting b***hface brow just looks terrible. I've always felt like this is a big miss when I usually love FT's faces. From what I can tell, the problem is the angle of the brow, the proximity to the eyes, and the shape of the crest leads to an illusion of a permanent scowl. Am I the only one who sees it like that? I'm assuming it looks better in person, but it looks terrible in pictures...
I used to think that a reworked Azalea would be the definitive Arcee, but now I realize how much was sacrificed in both modes to get that backpack so small. I think the next 3P to tackle G1 Arcee down the line (if ever) should maybe shoot for engineering similar to MMC's with a reasonably larger backpack to minimize the issues, and take a ton of cues from the TT (especially paint and articulation).
For now, I'm getting TT and will probably get some kind of aftermarket chest piece just so she looks better in pictures. My understanding is it looks better in person, but it obviously does not photograph well so will be a must for showing off the collection to have that!
I passed on Rouge because of the transformation process. Glad I held out for Takara/Tomy’s Arcee. Couldn’t be happier, chest is not really an issue at all...

I owned the V2 of MMC Azaela, and sold it because of how finnicky and loose it feels. Fanstoys and Takara versions are not doing it for me, for various reasons. I would like a MP version of the IDW design of Arcee, she had more bulk and thus, less need of a monstrous backpack.
So...depending on which one of the IDW designs, basically an oversized version of MMC's old Azalea (that got repainted & retooled a lot).
I wouldn't mind one
Took me a while but, I finally bought MP-51 Arcee, about 8 months ago. Been putting it off, because of some bad reviews but, finally decided to just buy her and I'm very satisfied. Had to buy a new chest piece as that makes her more G1 looking but, have to take it off for transformation. Other than the chest, I think she's the best looking of the three. I don't have the other two but, you're spot on about the paint as it's one of the better paint jobs that Takara Tomy has done.
I think there is 2 categories that should be very important to compare, stability and proportions, for example, ft rouge is too big for an mp collection, i mean she is bigger than mp hot rod, TT arcee has a horrible chest and too humanoid proportions, same as rouge, but azalea has a more compact design that is just nice, and finaly stability, fanstoys has floppy parts on the robot mode and in transformation, and i think the same for TT, and another recomendation is that you can make more important some points like stability, price, articulation sculpt and transformation, so that you show that there are more important things than accesories
I like the look of Toy World.
I don't know what happened to the legs on your Azalea, but I didn't have that issue. I had Rouge, along version 1 and 2 for Azalea, but I only kept Azalea (v2) for my collection. For mine her my legs are incredibly solid, I also don't have the issue with those detents. For my Azalea her A-stance stands 1.5 inches apart from the inside of her feet. So for me, I would give Articulation to Azalea. I would also give Sculpt to Azalea. Rogue's face, and body are just to straight, and flat. I may also give Transformation to Azalea, because I can't award a shell former with that large of a back pack that category. So my scores would be either 2, 4, 4 (or) 2, 3, 5. But, for my personal collection, I would only purchase the MMC or FT options.
So, if you want as cartoon accurate Arcee as possible, which of these should you get?
The answer is: none. Instead, you ought to buy Rose & Toys Robot Rose which is basically a knock-off of Takara Tomy's version but has a correctly shaped chest and also an improved extra face. Its price was also lower than any of these one's.

Takara one feels so high quality. In my opinion it blows the other two out of the water. No comparison their proportions look like junk after getting Takara IN HAND.

When is someone going to actually incorporate the rest of arcee’s body into the vehicle mode instead of trying to force it all onto the back....
I'm thinking the design is very challenging because we have had 4 attempts and no successes
@@TMReviews I think they all just approach it incorrectly and in the same exact way. They all just shove everything onto the back because it’s easy. What they should do is make her legs actually transform rather than just be action figure legs with wheels in them.
@@octobotimus - Yeah, like the newer Optimuses. TE-01 in particular comes to mind with his flat truckbed turning into bell-bottom robot legs.

I like what you said in the end, it all comes down to what Arcee should really looks in your mind. To me, the comparison of the character Arcee, different from the comparison of other characters, is very subjective, it is all about how your dream woman should look like. Fortunately and I guess coincidentally, the 3 Arcee compared are 3 different types of females, like you mentioned they are from different age brackets, but also different styles as people mentioned in the comments, so there is variety for people to choose their perfect one.

U forgot about the height, which is important cuz most people going to display her beside other bots aren’t they? FT is lil too tall imo. And I’m saying this is cuz I own both FT and TT and I have both of them displayed with other 3rd season MP scaled autobots
I cut a clip from the final video showing the three figures with hot rods and other figures, it really depends if you are collecting Ft movie figures or waiting for TT movie figs. They are different scales

Good review was waiting for someone to do this comparison and you were the first one. takara does have more articulation in the torso, it too can crunch side to side you missed that, also the wrist hinges and thigh swivel, and for me I don't agree with that comparison to takara Arcee's chest, my girlfriend has 34 double D's when she takes her top off they don't stay quite in place if you know what I mean, so I view each version as different builds of females, I don't see the age thing at all because she certainly doesn't look like a grandma lol I actually like takara's face the most it is the most accurate, but for her body it was being based on the generations version that's where the more womanly shape comes from, I like my fans toys rouge but like the MMC her shoulders are too wide, females shoulders are not usually wider than the hips takara knew this and Incorporated that into the build even the reference photo you use during the starting of your review you can see that her shoulders are not wider than her hips and her thighs are certainly not as skinny as fans toys, so for me takara wins bringing out the femininity in this robot and giving you all her iconic weapons and even blast effects which the others do not come with.

I like my FansToys Arcee. I have no problem with the transformation. What always kills it for Takara for me is cost I will never pay that much for a car bot. The price is rediculous
TT is definitely more, but my guess if FT put Arcee out now it would be the same price
@@TMReviews I have moved to marvel legends, Mcfarlane DC figures and Star Wars black series now. But I reluctantly got the X-Transbots trailer to finish up the combiner but left the accessory pack. I always find a cheaper alternative because we'll not to throw out my personal stuff but I'm disabled and on disability income so I try to limit cost on as much as possible. The XT trailer was a grumbling ok I'll do it but found it a bit cheaper. Bots like Optimus and Hound I stuck with Willis and got the Transform Element Prime and use the MP10 trailer with him.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. I'm more into Marvel Legends, Mcfarlane, DC, Star Wars and GI Joe. I also got the X-Transbots trailer. The trailer was an experience since I have Cerebral Palsy and only have full use of one hand. Lol!
I really like the Takara face sculpt, but yeah the chest is weird, and I don't understand why it went into production like this. It seems like such an easy fix that would have resulted in a much, MUCH stronger figure.
Would really like to see Fanstoys have a second go at this.
They did this because of articulations as it gives her a wider range of motion for her arms. Had they made her chest higher, which they should had, this limits the arm movements. She still wins, in my book, as that's the figure I like most, both in robot and alt mode. I also just picked up Azalea and she's the perfect middle ground. When it was just Azalea and Rouge, they were saying Azalea was too small so I was expecting her to be smaller than Arcee but, to my surprise, they're the same height, which now means Rouge is way too big.
Out of all of them, I think takara masterpiece looks the best looking. Great comparison mate.

The takara chest/neck proportions are a deal breaker for me already. I know it was done that way for better articulation but meh. I feel it’s too short as well. I was really interested in getting it for a hot minute but I’ll stick with fans toys.

A great comparison video of three awesome versions of Arcee!
MP51 is growing on me. But they definitely flushed their hyper toon accurate M.O. with how the neck, collar, & torso are handled. The shape itself doesn't bother me, both the Hasbro Generations/Takara Transformers Legends and the Earthrise versions have that smaller top/bigger bottom...it's where it's forced to sit thanks to that massive collar.
To me, this is worth 70 bucks at most. On the flip side, I hope that it sells super well - I'd love to see them do a retooling of this as a Headmaster (since they did Targetmaster Hot Rod)...now there's something that'd actually be worth a hundred at most...yesss!!
ocular max azlea is my favorite one it just captures arcees spirit to me but the takara one also looks pretty nice also its a robot of course it aint gonna look human
I like that you actually used Rouge's anime style face and chest. I don't understand why so many reviewers keep the defaults on. Rouge with the anime face and chest is the most toon accurate Arcee we've gotten by far.
I actually think it's Takara Tomy Arcee that's the most toon accurate as the only thing wrong is her chest, which they did purposely for articulations. If you find a chest replacement, which I did, she's spot on toon accurate, not the backpack though. With a new chest piece, she's also the sexiest of the 3, can't confirm as I only have Arcee and Azalea. Other than the chest, Takara Tomy Arcee is very nice and I'm glad I she's the one I picked. I just happen to see Azalea yesterday at a used toy store and decided to buy her and she's a nice middle ground.
The latest version of azalea is improved and much better. Rouge is trash. Probably ft worst figure with lupus

I own FT Rouge, I have no intention of transforming her, just want her to look great on display and she does exactly that. The takara version is growing on me though. The other one's proportions look wierd to me.

Maybe I'm weird, but I think the Bumblebee movie studio 85 Arcee blows them all out of the water in robut mode. Those wheel heels just look so cool and useful, like she can motor skate with them when necessary. Also she looks more like a robut, whereas these 3 look like a woman wearing a robut suit to me.

I love the Takara Tomy one. And I’m sorry she’s not a human she’s a robot. She wouldn’t look like an earth women’s chest. Plus I have an issue with IP borrowing. It’s hard for me to just be ok with it. That’s for me. I don’t judge anyone else. I know people love 3rd party figures. So each to their own. Great reviews.

The Takara Tomy is a bit of a butterface. I wish I had a figure with Rouge's face but MP-51's curvy body and MMC'S engineering.
I don't think you have Fans Toys' Rouge backpack transformed correctly in robot mode. I have this figure and my backpack looks completely different looking at her robot mode from the front. Check out Emgo's review of her to see what I'm talking about. When you have it transformed like Emgo and I do, then the backpack looks much better, smaller, and cleaner.
This is in fan mode, I thought I mentioned that in the video, it is floppy if you do the stock transformation
If you take the neck section, head, backpack and arms off the TT Arcee and put it on FT Rouge, I think that could be the best looking MP Arcee. Even with the additional height.

Mp Arcee is just wannabe Nicee. There I say it. Honestly, just make it toon accurate of arcee. It's Masterpiece line for crying out loud. I just can't believe takara pass this design, it's look sloppy.
Everything looks very cartoon accurate besides the top of the chest and the long collar on the MP
@@andreyofdoom I disagree. If you look side by side between mp arcee and the cartoon design, it's beyond similar. Fantoys Rouge is more toon accurate then the mp.

Now I have only ever owned Azalea but to me I love this casting!😁. She has 5 different variations including Zinnia and the box art for all 5 is simply amazing!!! Can't stand the official version. The 3P versions look more like the (spirit?) of the original G1. They also have better chests, backpacks, and overall their engineering like better, at a cheaper price.
I'm trying to get a decently accurate g1 arcee. Third party or not. Any suggestions?
They all fail in some pretty serious ways, sadly.

Been looking forward to this comparison. You have my respect for transforming Rouge. I love the figure, but have not transformed mine.
This is very much how I expected it to turn out, the Takara being the best figure, but FTs being my favorite representation for bot mode. She just looks more finished, more refined, but a nightmare to transform. I will keep my official in alt mode to go with my official Hot Rod in his alt mode, with two of my Junkions. Thank-you for the comparison. It is one I doubt to be seeing from Bobby, in light of him not ever transforming his version of Rouge.

I had made my mind about wanting MMC without a doubt, but this just made me realize that the perfect Arcee still hasn't been achieved, considering how pricey these are, I think I'll keep on waiting for a better one.

How anyone can think the Rouge or Azalea looks closer to Arcee than Takara's Mold is out of this world. Other Than her Chest Takara Tomy's Arcee looks exactly like the movie version of Arcee in both modes.

I'm not even gonna watch this video and I'll tell you who is the winner BY A MILE: FT-24 Rouge, she's absolutely flawless in both modes, although perhaps the most difficult Masterpiece ever to transform. Don't even talk to me about Takara's... (okay, can't use that verb, um... let's just say) PATHETIC offering and the Ocular Max box looks like Legends Class which means she shouldn't even be in the running against 2 full sized Masterpieces
I actually picked fans toys for robot mode and takara for vehicle mode, so keeping both

I have rouge and why it's a failure is lack of hip articulation.. unacceptable that alone gives tt the best bot mode. Rouge is the best value.

I don't go by aftermarket prices, they fluctuate all over the place so there is no way to get a consistent number other than retail price
