Honda should payed Stoner what needed to keep him in the team as a test rider . He is the most talented rider and bike developer ever. He has the feeling and knowledge that no one other has.

@@Life_Is_Adventuree how come it was his sweet spot while Pedrosa was the repsol team leader in 2013 after stoner left and Marc was just rookie, the honda bike setup was to support pedrosa to give a title run in 2013 against Lorenzo, nobody expected thr rookie Marc to give it instead. Marc came in MotoGP the first time and tamed a MotoGP bike in one go winning just the second race of the season and where Lorenzo who had more experience in motogp bikes even riding the Yamaha and later getting adapted to Ducati and winning 3 races with it, failed to do so in Honda not even breaking to top 10 spot(which is embarrassing for a multiple world champion) even before he crashed which he is making excuses of being injured and despite having special support from the honda team to win the teams championship on his bike, making lot of changes in bike the whole season, getting even the old chassis, he is having tough time beating Abraham. Cal even complained a lot of about rear grip issues. This just shows how different Honda is and is not a perfect bike or ever was. There is not even a single perfect bike in Motogp now. Ducati sucks at cornering speed, Yamaha at top speed and Honda at grip, Suzuki in top speed again(let's not talk about Aprilia/KTM and satellite teams) after Rins not being able to keep up in straights in Qatar and Mugello(same for Rossi).
The only reasons I could think they would bring stoner back is that partnership would increase more motorcycle sales for Honda worldwide, plus having two riders as brilliant as those pair it will bring the best out of each other which is what HRC and Mr Nakamoto wants. The same idea applies to Dani and Marquez now which you could say Dani has performed much better this year putting his injuries aside.
I dont race either, but sometimes I do it when entering a corner too fast. It can help set you up for the corner, help block riders, and its just plain fun!
Casey's development made Marc win more than 10 races that year. 10 in a row actually right? SHows what Ducati have at their house now with him leading the development alongwith Pirro

Repsol has the two best riders in the GP in Pedrosa and Marquez. Why would they need Stoner? I like CS 27 though and would like to see him back for sure.
The others (MM & DP) can't test due to restrictions on testing for "race" riders. Casey isn't racing anymore so there aren't any restrictions on him testing, Honda get the best test rider in the world and Casey gets to ride a GP bike without the BS he doesn't like. Everybody wins. And its his former crew for sake of ease, no need to waste time getting to know how people work, the crew know Casey's ways and he knows theirs, makes sense.
It's sad to see what motogp has become today, where top speed and who's got the most wings is what will make it or break it for a rider. Muhammad Ahmad, the setups wild and only fit to Marc's riding style?. maybe so. The bike is fast because of it though, and at this level you don't want a bike that rides like your concerned the price of fuel and tyres has just gone up.
