His longevity is completely uncommon for a motogp rider nowadays. Even in this matter he is out of the curve. I hardly doubt that here is anyone that will be as competitive as he is with hes age.
Not competitive for years? After the two years in ducati he's been 4th in 2013, 2nd in 2014, 2nd in 2015 (some would argue he was the true winner of that year), 2nd in 2016, 5th in 2017 (he broke his leg during that championship), 3rd in 2018, and finally he achieved a disappointing 7th place in 2019. So basically in his late 30s/early 40s he kept up with a bunch of kids and even taught them a lesson or two in riding. Just because he is not #1 doesn't mean he's competitive

Nicky was so unlucky during this race. I reckon in this race if it wasn’t for Nicky’s valve dropping (the cause of why he retired from the race), he would’ve surely challenged Stoner for the win and we could’ve seen Nicky’s fourth victory of his career after Laguna 2005, Assen 2006 and Laguna 2006.

Stoner entering turn 3 at 276km/h on that bike is absolutely unbelievable. Crazy
That 276 km/h in turn 3 is like watching Schumi’s last pole in Monaco driving half of the lap with one hand. A stonking masterclass.
More like Shumi Australian lap time record.
