“Nothing black is ever good” 🤣 💀 💀 😆
I meant the carbon 😂
also when you cleaned the side rails, did that brush take off that stuff the manual says is long term lube?
All of the glocks I have been given to make these videos are used. I checked for it before cleaning and have yet to find one that has the long term lubricant still on it. It would remove it if cleaned like this, but if regularly clean your pistol, the long term lubricant doesn't have to be there.
@@reverendguns thank you. I wasn't sure, I did read the manual but I still watch videos before doing anything. I am somewhat overly cautious but you're right, after been used and cleaned that stuff will be gone anyways and i will make sure to lube her. I just wasn't too sure what you sprayed in the begingin of the video, you said it was some sort of cleaner. I am just not wanting to do the wrong thing if that makes sense and I am not good at writing out things for the computer as most my convo are in person day to day
There is nothing wrong with being cautious when handling a pistol. I am the same way. The reason I made this channel was to show and explain to anyone wanting to learn and do it safely. I've learned a lot on journey with this channel, and I still learn new things as I make more videos. Share the knowledge so everyone can enjoy their pistol safely.
@@reverendguns thank you. going to sub to your channel. where are you from friend? I am florida but wasn't born here, moved recent from IL to here.
Thank you for subscribing! Don't forget to check out my other videos!. I'm in Texas.
Do I need to clean the magazines too?
Not the same way you clean the gun. A wipe down with a clean rag should be fine. You don't want any cleaner or solvent to get on the ammunition when loaded.
I spray mine with 91% isopropyl alcohol, then clean them. So no residue is left on the magazine. Same goes for the internal parts of the magazine if you choose to disassemble it.
I just wipe mine down and use a little bit of lube
What do you use for cleaner
Currently I use Shooter Lube for the cleaner and M-Pro 7 for oil. BUT I may soon be having my own brand of cleaner to offer everyone!
what cleaner did you use at first?
I use Shooter Lube
@@reverendgunswhat do you think about wd40? I usually use It for pistols made of steel or aluminum but not plastic as Glock pistols... Am I wrong? For Glock I use Ballistol.
I've tried using ballistol. It's not a good cleaner or lubricant. I found it would be useful as a protectant coating if you're storing your firearm in long term storage. I wouldn't advise using wd40 on a gun. It has more chemicals in it that would be harmful to the gun.
Great thank you. You make more sense than the jerk Lenny McGill-(Glockstore). He want you to spend an arm & a leg to clean anything and buy from him.
Thank you. I try to make it as easy as possible for anyone to be able to do it safely.
