I play this on PS4, if they updated the game more often (such as special events) and fixed the many bugs and glitches and random crashes, this could easily be one of my favorite games of this generation. I still enjoy the game though since I have no PC I’m grateful to play it it’s the most engaging racer I have played, also one of the better ones to play on a controller after fiddling with the settings. You won’t be competitive with the top wheel users but online I’m never finding myself completely at the back
Nice review! The graphics is in fact better on my PS5 vs my PS4 Pro. I did not think there would be any difference graphics besides load times. It is smoother also probably from more consistent frame rates. Though this jump in graphics is not as big as going from PS4 slim to a PS4 Pro.

Glad you liked the review! There are 4 main DLC's, and all are great - just depends what you want! The GT4 pack is great if you want some more variety to your driving experiences and I can recommend the Intercontinental GT pack if you need some more tracks. All the DLC's are great and up to the same quality as the base content. A bit expensive though!
And don't ignore for those needing more cars or a wider genre the original is still live online or single player....Assetto Corsa ultimate edition. Great video and epic commentary.

Yes, it should run very smoothly on a PS5! I sadly don't believe Asetto Corsa Competizione will work with a H shiter though. Gt6 and ACC are very different games. ACC is all about being realistic whereas GT6 is less realistic however has more in-depth car tuning. Which one you play first doesn't really matter, although you may find Gt6 a bit easier if this is your first rig.
Simply put the best sim racing game for console period. Leagues better than Assetto Corsa 1 and it runs 60 almost all the time on my little Xbox series s. I play on a controller with a very good setup for deadzones and stuff and I can say that it's you that can't drive well on a controller and you should get better. Not complain about the devs when they made this game in mind as a sim. Not and easy mode forza or GT sport simcade. Graphics are great. HDR is some of the best I have seen and the sounds are eargasmic. I have been playing racing games for almost 15 years now and I can officially say that this is my favorite racing game.

Great in-depth review and I appreciate your content. I bought it for Xbox. I’m a little frustrated after spending $45 dollars on the game and it’s literally unplayable. The 30fps is something that needs to be talked about a lot more. I did one lap around Spa and I had to quit because of motion sickness. Really disappointed.

Forza's competition is more against GT Sport. But then you should take ACC if you want real racing simulation, Forza is more of Sim Racing and a taste of arcade.
Graphics and sound are awesome. The tyre model and FFB on the other hand is abysmal compared to its predecessor or titles like rFactor2. You just don’t feel connected to the car. The forces through the wheel just don’t reflect what the car is doing. Traction loss in both front and rear of the car aren’t projected through to the driver. The devs really need to address this but because there are many sim racers that think it’s great, (don’t know what their talking about) the devs haven’t bothered to address these shortcomings. I believe this title could be the best one available but is let down by these very important but overlooked problems. Please Kunos refine the tyre model and FFB!
I cant stand racing games with no matchmaking. Gt Sport made such a good system with the championships. Browsing servers, hoping to get into one with similar skill level is annoying.
The game has safety rating, which is the matchmaking so you can get into safe, clean and fast lobby’s. There is also competitive matchmaking which does have matchmaking, while it isn’t on the level of Iracing or get sport, it’s prolly the best multiplayer sim after those
@@spforza6522 you still have to look for these lobbies manually. And just because you drive safe, doesnt mean you can drive as fast as the others there.
@@babylonian5 no you can sing up for the competition races just like for example GT Sport or Iracing and for these competition races there is matchmaking
If your on console, then I personally think that ACC is better than Assetto Corsa mainly due to multiplayer. Generally, ACC also has better offline content too, although it does have a more limited selection of cars. If your on PC, then Assetto Corsa is an amazing game due to modding and the online is still active. (There is a review of Assetto Corsa on my channel)
Actually, competition races (on competition servers) are scheduled on a daily basis. I think you can find a proper calendar by searching Google of the tracks and modes planned for the next days. On top of that, a lot of communities (like Sim Racing System) are beginning to plan champioships with daily races on ACC too.
I purchased for xbox last month. So far I still can not get certain single races to work. It will load paul riccard, I'll hit start race and the game freezes and restarts. I tried picking differnt cars, changing weather, still freezes and restarts. In turn ive played the game maybe 5 times, and I purchased the game becuase its the only game with full support for the G923.
Does anyone know if multiplayer is still alive on PS4? The only simulator I’m willing to play on console besides AC1. Good race AC1 lobbies are a needle in a haystack
I don't know personally. I'd imagine that it is similar to PS5 performance (locked 60fps gameplay). I've pinned you comment incase anyone has a better answer! :)
It runs around 55-60 fps, so quite good, but you can't change seat position, fov and no keyboard/buttonbox support. UDP is not implemented either. So it is not a perfect sim on SX.

@@rich10241024 The first AC is a bit more userfriendly but graphics is best on ACC. PC2 is still a mess with the tire physics, so yes it is the best GT racer.

Two questions from a guy who is into realistic sim driving and not "game" gimmicks and cars that can drop 200 feet and drive away... Is This sim better than Assetto Corsa? And, how does the driving experience compare to Project Cars II. I know, I can slide a rally car around in Project Cars II by pretending to actually be in a real car, but of course the program is aging.
Don't buy it on consoles. Everybody who has bought it, makes the switch to pc. Sim racing is better on pc and there's hardly anybody online on the consoles
That's a completely non-factual statement. There are numerous console leagues including those with dedicated FB Group Pages. If you don't like the console version fine, state that. Using words like 'everybody' is frankly ridiculous and not supported by facts.

Great review. Right now on ps4 pro will acc run at 60 fps?? I am worried about 30 fps but I am strongly considering whether to get acc for my ps4 Pro.

All GT3 and GT4 cars have paddle shifters, so I don't think and h-shifter is working.

I was thinking about choosing between this game or Forza Motorsport
Both are very good games. Assetto is a simulator and more 'serious' and realistic whereas Forza Motrosport is focused on being accessible and fun.
Get ACC. It'll help you drive better in other racing games as well.
Forza's competition is more against GT Sport. But then you should take ACC if you want real racing simulation, Forza is more of Sim Racing and a taste of arcade.
sims are even more fun for newbies. That feeling when you get the car on the limit in a real sim is so addicting. I barely play the f1 games any more.

No, I don't think you can. You will be able to get 60fps pretty much locked though.
