@@auradmg I did think of breacha boy as I was speaking but then decided to move along, no need to get bogged down in details in a video like this. In the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a gotcha!
Thanks for the content, my man! I find too much of the kill team content is competitive because the kind of people who want to make videos about something tend to be hardcore into it which leads to a lot of tournament play, but content like this for more casual people and onboarding new players is sorely needed.
Great video, love to see a video focusing more on how to collect teams and the general faction identity instead of a focus on mechanics that mean nothing to people that are new to the game.
I so badly need the diety legions to get proper Kill Team boxes, especially World Eaters and Thousand Sons. They don't have full ranges yet and KT might be a really nice way to expand what they have access to
I’ve got a scout squad painted and ready to go as my first killteam after not having played 40k since I was 13 back in 3rd edition I feel like I’m gonna get stomped
They're a good squad as long as the terrain is in your favor. Make good use of forward scouting and plan to go hard on turn 2. I took out a legionnaire team last week, and it wasn't even very hard because he overestimated how strong his team was
@@GlassHalfDead Looking at the mandrake models, a lot of the sameness comes from the poses being almost identical for each model. So I'm experimenting with that and with color. Like all the "warriors" have the sword on the right and the specialists on the left. Maybe cracking open the jaw on the dirgemaw so it literally has a bigger maw, etc.
I got the Kill Team Starter set. Looking In the app for angles of death, I thought I was a miniature short. It appears you can buy and add the intercessor assault sergeant to your team. You do get a sergeant in your team but the intercessor sergeant appears to have a couple cool abilities
Grey Knights also don’t have a bespoke Kill Team yet. Technically Agents of the Imperium would be an alright pickup since they could double as chaff for the Grey Knights in 40K, but it’s not the best. Could you just run Angels of Death with a Grey Knights Strike Squad proxying operatives in that Kill Team? I’d imagine they’d fit as Assault Intercessors better with their wrist bolters and swords.
World Eaters remain the only Chaos legion army in 40K with no Kill Team. Even the Night Lords got 1 first. And I half expect Emperor's Children will get 1 first as well.
When I first started my best friend and I got the octarious box ? And I don’t think orks vs krieg was fair I got destroyed every match (I might just be bad with them)
I keep hearing how "balanced" Kill Team is, and how it's the best skirmish game out there, but I see several videos with people claiming teams are overpowered or broken. Which is it? Is the game incredible/balanced or are there a bunch of broken/imbalanced Kill Teams?
Kill Team is a great lil game but it has just had a new edition and it is, quite frankly, fucked. Now, if you ban the current S tier, it is legitimately a brilliant game with relatively solid balance and no one is denied a win because of their team. Give it 6 months and I think we'll be back there. right now...... as long as you don't play the S and D tier, great game. Which is honestly fine. BUT what if you or your locals just really love tzeentch marines? Well, everyone will hate playing them because winning is almost impossible. Love Tau and want to run the only pathfinders? You will get STOMPED. Rules are always temporarily. Right now, Kill Team has a GREAT middle, but the high and low is legit mad. 6 months.
I think it will be really cool that the bespoke Kill Team for Deamons will be Vastorr servants having aspects of all four Chaos gods mix with Techno Horrors. I think it will be really cool hybrid kill teams theoretically
@@andrewmento-matos6692 We technically have it with gellerpox, as glitchlings are Nurgle daemons with technology, but would like to have more support for other gods or undivided
You think world eaters are going to get a team? I run my zerks as legionaries with khorne mark to make it fluffy. But would love a bezerkers kill team option. Good videos im a new subscriber. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!
You get the terrain, the rule book, the equipment, tokens, cards, and board. The two kill teams are basically a plus onto all of that! And both teams are super unique to play, so even if you get a different kill team to be your main team, you will alqays have them 2 kill teams to have fun with playing the game in a completely new way. Totally worth it for the box deal, even if you're not that fond of the two teams! The teams can be just extra to play with in the future.
@@Sa3vis Hivestorm is a great box and I still recommend it. I just don't think the two teams in it are actually good for beginners. But they're still teams and if you like them then that's what matters most! They just have slightly wacky mechanics
novitiates fail to represent sisters form 40k both visually and gameplay wise imo. No shooting, no power armor, milsurp gear for what is supposed to be the elite non augmented human armed forces, repentia/arcoflagellant theme missing entirely. Legit preferred eclesiarchy from the previous edition more, hope they'll do them justice with a proper killteam in the upcoming releases
Agreed, sisters are the main imperium faction i care about, and the only one out of my favorites that doesnt have a team. I have zero interest in novitiates
Hey, your videos have been very helpful. I was planning to start kill team with the intercesor list you made 2 years ago using the normal warriors and the assault intercesors. Does this still work? Can i run that list? And do they fall under the Angles of Death?
Hierotek could be doable, if you can make nice standing gaunts, and maybe a zoanthrope As a leader, and a choped up ripper swarm as plasmacyte. Healing and reanimation would be not so far from nids. Gellerpox also valid, we can work with more unique models cause of the bigger bases. I am now experimenting with Blades of Khaine aswell 🤔

I’m working on a Tyranid Mandrake team, using termagant bodies and old genestealer hands plus greenstuff for psyker flames

Accurate 2 Hello!
Super handy for players new to Kill Team.
no daemons? D:
Gallerpox are for deathguard and could be clasified on the mortal/daemon side since they have daemons on the team
One day we will get Adeptus Custodes
I must be missing something, because in the 2021 KT Compendium there was a Talons of The Emperor team.
@madhatter1662 they killed off the ones without a box set attached. So they aren't in the current rules.
@@AggressiveLemur that can't be the reason, since the clowns are still a thing and you need the player box and two characters for them.
