    Great news for V Power! I've noticed though that Shell E5 is more expensive than BP Ultimate. But then if Shell is a higher Octane then it's probably worth it. Look forward to your next test for Esso!.

      Not just higher octane mate, but any petrol 98 or above has to meet a completely different quality criteria, so all the 97RONs should be considered a "mid-range" petrol. I was thinking about figuring out a way to do a mileage test and borrow a gas analyser to see the differences in ethanol-free 97 and 99.

    Really good result for Shell V Power! Since this is from Peterborough this should mean east of England at least has zero ethanol and great octane level. Thanks for doing these tests!

      You're welcome and thanks for the comment. Yes, apart from Devon and Cornwall, I'm quite confident E0/0% is easily available in the midlands and south of England and Wales. The trick now is finding where the borders are for where you can only get E2/2% Super Unleaded--which is still at least better than their advertised 5%!

      @@boilerhousegarage What was the issue in devon and cornwall?

      @boilerhousegarage  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Bradley0beaver It's the distribution network from the refineries (or possibly "refinery") in that part of the country, not having separate tankers dedicated to supply super unleaded, so it ends up with some ethanol in it. It's probably similar to the North with 2-2.5% but can't be certain without testing it.

    Great video mate good to see the v power is still giving good results. Would you be testing Tesco momentum again?

      Thanks, Sam! I'll be doing Momentum again next time I'm in Oxford or Abingdon. I'll see if I can figure in some kind of price vs mileage comparison too.

      @@boilerhousegarageBeing an Oxford resident, I'll look forward to seeing that test! I generally prefer to use premium fuels with an additive package like V-Power or Synergy 99, but Tesco Momentum's price is certainly good. Thanks for all your hard work in producing these reports.
