I like this hitachi fans I have got one in my bedroom I think mine is an older model probably late 60s the favourite of my wife because is not noisy at all I am glad that you could adapt the blue blades . I have seen online those with green blades and blue blades looks similar to the Sanyo early 70s models. The other day on ebay Italy they had one identical to this model. Great fan!

I missed that one on eBay Italy lol. Glad you have one, they're great fans and yes, super quiet. Thank you 😊

I have a DF-603… the blades are actually the same blue but opaque! My grandma had one where the blades were butterscotch! The design is the same as yours but the push buttons are round and theres no faux wood. Updated mid/late 70s version I guess. Would love to know how to service and clean it

That sounds really cool, have you got any pictures of it? Drop me a contact email and I'll give you some tips on servicing. Also there's a short on my channel of doing it

Hitachi made fans as well in the 70s?? What didnt Hitachi make at one time or another! I have had some of their 80s audio gear, always well made if not the best in sound quality but certainly performs well.

Hitachi were a huge conglomerate, making all sorts of appliances, especially from the 1940s onwards.
