G'day Silver Struck, thanks for sharing an informative video about scarcer Engelhard rounds, looks like I have 2 common rounds, the 1982 big E and the 1986 eagle, the low mint Everest & Stevcowovens rounds are very cool, interesting Montana round, it just amazes me how many varieties are out there. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🙏💪🇦🇺 🐨🦘👍
All part of the fun PeterJ! The many varieties and lesser know rounds are just super fun to collect. Glad that you have some examples of the Prospector on hand my friend! You know- there are some Australian rounds Engelhard made as well. I think it's just so neat that Engelhard thought of Australia as a region (continent) to have silver refined in😊👍
The Engelhard Prospector may be the most iconic silver round ever produced. Love seeing and learning about the rare rounds that were produced by Engelhard. Thank you for sharing your collection and providing your knowledge in a quality presentation!
The Everest is a great is a better low mintage round. I ended up picking up a few more on Ebay for cheaper than I purchased the first one. The extra's might be handy for future trades.
@@SilverStruckWas unaware u had extras. Thought u only got that 1 from u know who. I stopped by and he had shown me that round. After he had called u of course. I was so happy just to hold another 1. Thats a round I have been chasing for a long long time. I saw 1 about 12yrs ago but it was mill spotted very bad and scratched all up so I figured Id find a better 1. Boy was I wrong!!! Should've grabbed it back then. Ever want to trade or sell 1 lmk PLEASE.
@@AGAUaddict I can let one go if you need it. Only purchased the one from Dan. On Ebay they had a bunch go up for sale at the same time, so I won 2 out of a possible 4. All the examples are milk spotted but the reverses are mint and low on the scratches for the obverse fields.
@@SilverStruck That would b amazing. Just lmk how u want to proceed and what ur price would b or if interested in a trade. I have some less than 2000 mint Engelhard 1oz bars that I can part with if your interested ir I can pay u cash for it. Just lmk. Im thankful!!!
Better investment than the Stock Market! 😉 Knowledge is definitely better than financial advice? 😁 i sit in the back but I'm paying attention 😆 thanks for Sharing 👊
1977 stevecowoven round is my favorite of the series. You’re going to need the jm version of the big sky montana round as well now that you have the engelhard version. Beautiful collection of engelhard rounds!
Hey SBS! Years ago, I told myself I wasn't getting into the lesser known Engelhard rounds but I guess that ship has sailed, lol! I did not know JM also had a Montana round but not surprised as JM and Engelhard shared a number of rounds.
Yeah, so many of these things have probably gotten melted over the years, so the remaining numbers are likely to be exceedingly low. I love the Engelhard stuff and enjoyed seeing all of these examples. Great stuff! Keep collecting these vintage pieces, and don't forget to stack some less collectible pieces to the rafters, particularly if they are Gold in color. Take care!
Still chipping away at gold, adding some pieces here and there. I do have a good amount of generic silver but have not added to that part of the stack in a long while. The survival rate of some of these lesser seen rounds is of interest to me! I like silver you can't just find anywhere, even Ebay or Whatnot for the super rare ones. Always great to see you, thank you for the support!
I'm glad this isn't a competition, Silver Struck. You're kicking everyone's butt--including me! That Everest piece is killer. "Prooflike" doesn't do it justice. Same with the Stevecowovens!
Been a collecting binge lately for sure. With the silver price so high, people are letting go of some good stuff. The downside is I'm paying more....but you have the collectable upside if your selective. I'm not telling you anything you don't know- your a great collector! I'll have to pay another 20K this Winter for my sons second semester, so that will take me down a notch, lol!!
I finally got an englehard montana, johnson matthey has the exact same round, except there is a jm where the e would be. Of course, Montana is the home of the 406 stacker 🎉 another great video
I'm glad you had found a JM Montana for the stack! This is a fitting round for you to have of course as is the Engelhard version. Good to see you 406, cheers!😊👍
Are you talking about the silver Proof Prospectors? I have seven of the eight needed to complete the set- almost there. I have one Prospector in gold as well but not sure I will go after those for set yet...gold is expensive these days.
Got it! That's what I thought. I have most of the proofs but have not done a video yet with all of them in it. Just need the 83 Big E and I will have the entire set.
Three Toes! Your one of the motivating factors behind my collection- with out that 84' I might have lost interest in the proofs. Now that I have the 88', I have to finish the set. It will take a long while to collect the lesser known rounds. I have noticed the Stevco series is lower hanging fruit if you will compared to other rounds Engelhard made.
The survival rate of a lot of this silver is in question for sure. How many could have been melted down as generic unknown rounds in the 1990's or later- who knows!
SH!!! Good to see you man. I was wondering if you were doing well, still looking at YT, etc. Lately, I have been focused on the vintage silver. Hoping with premiums lower now, that might be able to stack some more Libs soon!
@@SilverHonda0767 Thank you for asking! Ollie is doing very well. He video bombed me yet again in a video called the USVI silver ingot stack I posted 12 days ago. Good shots of him at the end of the video. The second cat we have is Valentino- black and white Tuxedo cat but he stays out of sight mostly. how have you been? I hope all is well down in FL.
@@SilverStruck I would have to watch more of your videos and hopefully catch Valentino. I would also have to check out your past video and check out Ollie again. Things ok here in Florida getting over populated in my town. Hurricane 🌀 season still in effect and so far near misses. I forget; was it you or Silver Oceans who advised me to start a I.R.A. ? I haven’t bought any gold or silver in the past two years just holding on to them and see what the next election brings. Looking forward to going on a cruise 🚢 later this year. Yes, we been blessed.
Tbh I not a fan of the Engelhard prospector round, lol. I prefer bars! I'm sure theirs tons of Engelhars rounds that were low mintage that have not been listed on all engelhard.
I agree with that STG, Engelhard was a big company, so there must be others rounds not posted on AE. Just a month ago I was able to pick up a promotional metal not posted on AE! Have not done a video on that yet, was waiting until it was listed.
Great video, very very cool!
I’m glad to be back… Was off-line for over a week dealing with this hurricane…. 😣

Wow, the mintage on those Everest rounds is super low.👍
Yup! There are quite a few low mintage rounds to collect that Engelhard made.
