Hey SS, nice assortment and sum real rare bars here. Always enjoy seeing what u snag out there in the wild👍 That Refinement bar takes the cake for me!!! Matter of fact that reverse (woven pattern) kinda reminds me of homemade apple pie. Sweet reverse on that bar. Have a good one SS.
G'day Silver Struck, another 5oz of unique vintage silver art bars for your collection, the design of the Alaskan Pipeline bar is very cool, I hope you find a George bar, the Great Lakes Mint bars are interesting, thanks for sharing your latest pickups. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🔥💪👍
Just got back from Valley Forge PeterJ! I love history and being able to view historic sites. Wish I had brought my Martha Washington bar with me tho- oh well. Thank you for watching😊
Great video sir i love silver bars my favorite is the Scottsdale 1 ounce vortex thank you very much for sending me your channel stickers and that special extra gift take care my friend across the pond and happy stacking from English Dave 😃
GLM bars!! Yummy lol Thanks for the mention. That New Year’s 1974 bar is great. The USSC bars for the Guardhouse are super sweet. The Alaskan Pipeline is very hard to come by. Congrats on your progress 👊
Like # 85 Please pray for us Floridians bracing for the impact of hurricane 🌀 Milton which is expected to reach Florida gulf coast of Tampa/Sarasota area on Wednesday. I’m going to stay at my job for shelter and Mrs. Silver Honda is going to stay at her job for shelter on Wednesday.
I wish you two the best during the storm. We have been watching the storm on the news and it looks pretty bad. Florida can't catch a break this season. Sending prayers and well wishes your way
@@SilverStruck thank you sir! With past hurricanes 🌀 experiences I haven’t learned my lesson and made poor planning decisions to be prepared with my silver and gold coins. I have to put them in a box and leave them in the trunk of my car when I’m at my work for a shelter.
Very nice additions to your Guardhouse, always interested to see more USSC bars designs. Sorry to say I’m not one of those with multiple boxes to fill up! Just one for me! LOL 😂✌🏻
Sweet. I snagged a Liberty Mint Columbus Day ‘73 and SilverTowne Congratulations ‘86 bar at a local coin show and a SilverTowne Valentines Day 1983 at my LCS.
Nice pick-ups, SS! Love all things Alaska. Some recent additions here have been a Concord, NH bar (Hamilton Mint), an American Argent bar, and a Boston Tea Party anniversary bar. 23/25 on the GH box ...so close!
Love the Alaskan Pipeline bar, I have that one as well! My uncle worked on that pipeline in the 1970's, we was away from home all the time. That Martha Washington bar is extremely hard to find...I actually have never even seen it on eBay. I looked both of the USSC bars in the art bars guide. The Pipeline is 2000 mintage, and they made 3000 Martha bars, but for some reason melted down 1000 of them so it turns out to be a 2000 mintage as well. Nice scores!!!
Super interesting information in this comment, thank you Bob! Some of these pick ups are just lucky. Martha was in a bin for a couple bucks over spot. Been trying to become a better USSC collector as the bars are growing on me😊
@@SilverStruck Martha was a major score Mr. Stuck! USSC made some very cool stuff...I have been building my collection of them for almost a year now. Their mintage numbers are all over the place. 50, 100, 1500, 2000, 3000, 10,000 etc etc. Glad to see you are getting into them...I'm a USSC addict! Ever since I bought that darn book!
@@SilverStruck Thanks brother! Yeah sometimes it’s hard to do both! Absolutely happy Hunting to you too! I’ve got a bar picked out I’ll be getting soon!
And as always, I completely dig the cool 😎 bars you always seem to find. On a completely different note, seeing the Thanksgiving bar made me think about the Silver Bean Counter as he loved the Thanksgiving theme. Ironically enough, I had been wondering why I haven't seen any videos from him lately, so I checked out his channel today and found only one video remaining, and that was from several years ago. I always digged the Bean, and he will be missed. Cheers 🍾 🔥 SS.
It's funny you have a Martha Washington on a bar. I just bought an obsolete bank note with both George and Martha Washington on it. That was half the reason I bought it. The other half reason was because it's a $4 bill. I couldn't pass up that combo.
Very cool pick up! I was at Valley Forge over the weekend and visited Washingtons head quarters. My son goes to college in the area out there so we were visiting him.
Yeah, a lot of those kinds of projects are usually pretty long on hype and pretty short on factual detail and true foresight. Valuable yes, but expectations almost always set waaaaay too high? YES! Nonetheless, a very cool bar! Love it! I've seen several guardhouse box videos recently, and of course, most of them mention some "Silver Struck" guy out there who is inspiring them to go down this road. 😉😛 It's great though! I always love the patriotic and/or Americana type bars, so the Martha Washington bar is a great one. Very cool additions! I am buying 1 ounce generic bars, but I actually haven't seen a lot around lately at my LCS. They typically always have 5 & 10 ounce bars in stock, but they rarely have 1 ounce. I do pick up any standard 1 ounce bars they have, which has seen me purchase I think 6 or 7 Engelhards during 2024, but I'm usually after stuff that is more common like APMEX, OPM, SilverTowne, etc.. I'm actually running light on generic 1 ounce bars, so hopefully I'll be able to get some in 2025. If I they don't end up having them during the first half of the year, I may have to go ahead and break down and just buy 10 or 20 from an on-line dealer. I like to keep my stack proportional, and right now the bullion side of my stack is running away with 1 ounce generic rounds and ASEs. So before my stack gets too out of whack for my OCD to handle, let's hope something comes in. Anyway, another great video! Slow & steady...it'll be filled up before you know it! Take care!
The guardhouse box challenge thing went pretty crazy. A lot of people stacked more boxes than I, lol! I view this way of stacking as a way to stay in the game a few ounces at a time. Once my son went off to college this year, I thought I would stop but I'm still going. Thank you so much for your support of the channel, it means a lot.
@@SilverStruck Well, speaking for myself and others where your name comes up, we all hope that you won't stop. Not that we're expecting videos all of the time, but you're a genuine and good guy who puts out quality content and encourages other people to do something more valuable and productive with their wealth than what is ordinarily the case for most Americans. The fact that it can also be encompassed in a fun hobby and not always motivated by "the sky is falling" news we often hear on a regular basis makes your channel all the more appealing. Anyway, a lot of people are happy to see you sticking around. Take care!
Bob has it 100% right in the below comment. However- I have had great luck looking for these bars locally and picking up some bars close to spot- a buck to three bucks over.
Great going, I finally finished my first 50 box

That would be a crazy bar, not sure if they did that one DA.

Where did you get that album book from????
To acquire an album like that, I resorted to Ebay so I could over pay to buy one-these are scarce, so there is a premium to get one.
Tonight you will be put to the test!
Can't wait Fish!
what kind of premiums you paying for all these rare bars?
