Joe and his band are at the top of their game…just oozing with quality 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🏴
How can you not love his deep, limpid and nuanced voice, as it accompanies his magical guitar and subtly draws a path that leads to the depths of his soul. With the orchestra, Joe finds total harmonic perfection. So beautiful...
because you have heard actual blues music...
@@stuco There are very few musical styles that improve over time, this is the case with the blues and this is thanks to artists like Joe who, while respecting traditions and thanks to his passion and talent, manages to evolve this musical domain and make it more complex and more vibrant.
I'm glad he's keeping it alive, just being a smart aleck really. He can play whether it's my cup of tea or not.
Joe is RIPENING,
Over the years, his voice has really come along...
He has always sounded really good, but he keeps maturing.. I am loving his playing & vocals alot more..
I must say his song,
MIDNIGHT BLUES,, well, I keep listening to it every week. He was younger then..
So impressive now though..
Ya gotta love Joe right 😊
Was thinking same...ļxx
So great to see some of the Bonamassa classics brought back to a big stage!
Awesome, thank you so much, great rendition of a great Chis Whitley song, I wish more artists would play more of his music. He was a tortured genius that made a lot of brilliant music, Phone call from Leavenworth, my personal favorite. Thanks for remembering him
The sad part is SO many people wont hear the original. Miss you Chris!
Thank you. I just sought it out and listened to it on streaming. 👍👍
A few weeks ago (3/25/24), Joe uploaded a short from his acoustic Vienna concert in which he was playing “Ball Peen Hammer”. At that time I posted a comment with a bit of information about Chris Whitley. In preparation for posting my comment, I had the pleasure of listening to Whitley performing his song. And now, because of your comment, I’m going to look into Whitley’s other work and give it the appreciation it deserves. Thank you!
i bet he never couldve guessed that there would be an epic orchestral version of his song
Original things say it from the heart of creative feelings. I go that way on if you do it again compliment the Original.
My Brother is a casual friend of Joe, and says he is a super cool guy and generous with his help (my brother plays guitar).
Born talent growing to bloom day by day to splendor .... ❤ Joe da man ! , 🎸 ❤
...Awesome! Love the orchestra!!! They all were having fun for sure!!!
And keyboard legend, Reese Wynans, hell yeah! 👏🔥🤘
That gave me chills. Great, great presentation. Thank you!
His vocals get overshadowed by his guitar persona but Joe's vocals are top notch. Good song.
Just saying, his firsta

How did I stumble on this amazing song?
The flutes, the strings, the deep sounds of Joe's vocals, all coming together in a tortuous cry of despair. This is how emotion moves.
Can't wait for this album to come out... Joe's singing and playing .. damn 😊
If you haven’t already, check out the original
Well said Mr. Lou😊

G E A N T❤
Hey Joe, will there also be a DVD of that concert? that is also the Maks, I can't get enough of watching it through your youthbe channel, with kind regards from Wietze Braem from Adinkerke, Belgium
What a show..even Tom Jones on keyboard !
Chris never envisioned this
It's hard to know what Chris envisioned. I don't expect he would have arranged it quite like this. But I do wonder if he ever considered the possibility just on the basis that it's hard enough to get three to five people coordinated in a rock ensemble, so an orchestra would seem like a giant pain in the rear by comparison... I feel like Chris might have arranged it a bit "darker" or more "ethereal". Of course, he may have moved on to other things entirely as evidenced by his body of work.
Chris Whitley wrote this song. If you want to hear a master songwriter, singer and guitarist listen to the one who wrote it. Joe you are fantastic but I hope you will give credit to Chris. I am happy his music lives on.
💖💖💯💯💯🎙🎶🎼🎸🤗🤗
Good for Joe for doing his shows the way he wants but, I miss the Three piece of he, Eric, and Kenny. For my ears, the Rockpalast show has never been topped.
👍👏
Chris Whitley Song. I prefer the original, but I love the fact Joe keeps his memory alive by covering, and maybe turning others on to Chris Whitley.
👏👍🎶🎤🎶🎸🎶👏👍🤗
Welcome to the Newlostworld
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
👍🍷💖
The song and the band are perfect, but i would like to hear the voice of young Robert l Plant here.
If you haven't, you guys should really check out Chris Whitley, who originally wrote and recorded this song.
No guitar solo?
Nice tribute to Jethro tull flute section. Future dream tribute is to brass horns jazz/blues of fellow paesani CHUCK MANGIONE & pioneer of rock blues: LOUIE PRIMA.
❤❤❤❤❤❤с любовью и́з России ❤
Fuck Russia!!!
Wow wow wow awesome.......
See thru speaker boxes ?
new drummer Z?
algo de Jethro T. ¡¡¡
What are those clear amps and what happened to his old rhythm section?
Michael Rhodes died, and not sure about Anton Fig
Ok
quoi d'autre ????
Ok. But once you’ve listened to Eric Steckel this doesn’t make sense anymore does it?
King of the Blue's
Clapton is stil alive, bro!
Does he have a scar in his throat?
Did he write this or his partner in crime.. music I mean..
Quality of music aside, what horrendous microphone technique for a visual presentation by the singer/s. It'v viscerally satisfying for the performer to "eat the microphone" but it's not visually pleasing to the audience. What it really shows is a lack of planning by the producers, and a lack of confidence in the performer in his innate ability as a singer. I understand a "need" to focus on something w/ the voice; but maybe some performer can invent a small mostly invisible 6 to 8 inches plastic thin extension that can be attached to the top of the micr. that the singer can focus into, instead of the micr. itself.
What a crappy old guitar! It only has two colors! 😊
5 notes over and over 🤮
Not really paying attention to the overall song huh?
