I hope you read this, Joe. Today, I have been playing my guitar with a great deal of sorrow. I have arthritis in my hands and wrists as a result of being badly poisoned with a pesticide. I was on the cusp of giving up and turning my guitar into a wall ornament until I heard you playing. It was then I realised that music comes from the soul, not from the hands. My hands are an instrument, too. It gave me the guts to carry on. Thank you, Joe. Thank you.
How are you feeling now sir
Thank you, dear Sir, for your very moving words. Your insight offers nutritious food for the soul. I’d never thought of it in the exact way you expressed. You have a wonderful gift for expression.
Best wishes in all your endeavors and especially in your love for playing the guitar.
Yes, indeed, “music comes from the soul, not from the hands.” Very profound. Very true! ❤ Thank you.
WEll said - good luck!
Wow !
Joe gets tons of well deserved props as an incredible guitarist, but the guy is also a world-class singer. Insane pipes.
Can anyone imagine what B.B. King would think and say about little Joey B. If he was sitting in the front row of J.B.’s concerts…..
I think, B.B. would just smile….with incredible pride and respect, maybe a tear or two….thanks B.B. for giving this little kid from New York a chance….the world is a better place because of You and Joey B…..amen..!
Indeed.. amen to that 😊
All good & perfect gifts 🎁 come from the HOLY GOD ABOVE ❤. We thank & praise you FATHER. 🙏 ❤
Ladies and Gentleman thats MUSIC....
Thanks dear I really appreciate you
Mr Bonamassa only gets better as he goes. Seems like there is no limit to it. Words fail to define this masterpiece…
Yes indeed!
It would be interesting to know how JB himself thinks he's progressed since he was young
He was very advanced at a young age, most people dont get a fraction of that ability after many decades
To hear it from the perspective of the talent themselves might be insightful, to know how it was attained and how he has kept progressing.
Does he feel he got to 90% of his overall talent level by say 15 and the following decades represent the last 10% or is it completely different and he's now at 50% say, over where he was at 15??!!
Very few guitarist at this level. Joe does not get the recognition he deserves he's one of the best.
He is well loved , 😊
This is true music ... not that crap we hear on the radio now... this is god. given tallent .
You make my dreams come true: see a great concert where the blues electric guitar is the center despite of the beautiful orquestra.
Joe's voice is so awesome now, it's obvious he put in a ton of work. He reached new high water marks seemingly each year and here he's done it again. Love you JB.
I also think Joe’s voice has improved a lot from previous years, BUT as he’s admitted, it’s bc of getting himself a vocal ‘coach’. It certainly paid off and it shows - now he’s 👍 and on 🔥 with BOTH his 🫨 and 🎸!
@@elainemeyer5062 Elaine, yes indeed. I heard JB talking about his voice coach. The guy has really put the work in to get to where he is. I have mad respect for his work ethic. He learned a ton and retained the knowledge from one Mr. Riley B. King at a very young age. Amazing. Have a great weekend.
Jest pięknie dajcie spokuj to piękny ton głos i człowiek
Jak pęknie niebo kto z nami będzie ???
Joes voice is like our beloved and oh so missed Tony Bennett…his voice gets better and better with age. You’re so right, he reached a new high…LOVE his music!
Sooo BEAUTIFUL!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Anyone who can play so fantastically such a gigantic concert with an orchestra can also play his own Blues Rock opera!!! 👍❣️😘
100%
Джо Банамаса шикарнейший музыкант
.... в блюзе на данный момент он лучший...красавец...
From The Baked Potato to Dolby Theatre, Joe has now played everywhere in LA. If I still lived there, I wouldn’t have missed this show. What a great emotional performance and wonderful capture!
From the moment the first note from the trumpet player danced gracefully into the air to the final chord that lingered in the soul, it was pure magic.
Your collaboration with the live orchestra was nothing short of breathtaking. The seamless fusion of your guitar prowess with the symphonic grandeur left me utterly spellbound. It was more than just a performance-it was a symphony of passion and creativity that touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Thank you so much I enjoyed every second, what a masterpiece!😍
I'm blown away but not surprised! I truly believe that Joe is the Number 1 Overall Guitarist today!
This is an absolute *MASTERPIECE,* an endless stream of melancholy and deep emotion. Joe is the master for having written such an exquisite piece....and for his beautiful guitar work!
How often does such a heart-rending, soul-searching song arrive in our world? We must watch over it, we must take care of it, we must cherish it! ❤
Hugs and love... just like you said... I am very very lucky to have Joe at his prime.. this song... a definite masterpiece indeed 😊
Un f n believable! I love this man!!
There's Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B B King, and then There's Joe Banamasa.
@@susanadamczyk7287 Yes.. those three were / are great.. .we all have our favorites... mine is Joe.. I know all them are classic big ones but.. still.. Joe is my number one... good list you have though.. decent one ... let's enjoy more great music by great musicians.. I love every moment of it 😊
Thank you to Joe, the musicians, the singers and all the sound crew / techs. This was a beautiful and emotional performance ..I think “back in the day” they would call this timeless.
Absolute perfection 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can’t get enough of JoeB!!! Been following and attending concerts for a dozen years! Like a fine wine, he just keeps getting better! See you at Red Rocks in August Mr. Bonamassa 🎶🎸❣️
Dedicated fans like you are the reason we’ve attained such greatness God bless you I hope you ain’t coming alone?
I’ve always loved this song since it debuted on Dust Bowl. So great to see a live version.
Dust Bowl rules!
Bravo! Another timeless classic from Joe. This one’s for the ages.
Holy Smoke and Good God Almighty! My ears and soul are completely filled with joy! JB has taken his vocal and guitar talents to a celestial level! Pure soulful gold😎
Вступление на трубе, и дальнейшее развитие- просто идеально в этой балладе.
Браво!🤓
дух захватывает- как это классно!!!!
Greatest guitarist on the planet
There's no doubt that he's great. However, hat's a stupid, hyperbolic statement. Be smart!
@@carlwilliams6977 If your unnecessarily negative critique of my comment makes you feel validated, then you're a pretty sad (and small) person.
He is undoubtedly the hardest working person in the music industry. It seems like he never takes a day off, and he just keeps getting better. He now ranks is my number one blues rock artist, along with the late Jeff Beck, with Eric Clapton and Walter Trout close behind.Of course, nobody can truly fill the shoes of Stevie Ray Vaughan
Your only "number one" blues artists are all white guys?
@@braddskubinna5726 Noticed that myself too! But maybe he’s not considering some of the older, late and greats, like the ‘3 Kings of the Blues’: B. B., Al, and Freddie. IMO B. B. was the real deal when it comes to being a TRUE BLUES master, like Pavarotti was in the opera genre. I’m not saying that ‘white’ folks can’t play it well though (I’m a 70ish Caucasian female myself). I also think the other 🎸ist’s he mentioned are 👍 but he omitted Steve Vai - who imo is extremely talented and an emotional performer!
Thank You 😊 🎶♥️🎶‼️‼️‼️
Woulda been great to see him and the late Gary Moore in concert. JB stands on his own but I heard some GM woven into this masterpiece...
@@goldwinger4356 👍 Yes, that would have been a great collaboration imo too! I listen to a lot of Gary’s music, and only very recently discovered Eric Church - who I’d never known of before until hearing his and Joanna Cotten’s cover of ‘The Weight’, originally done/made popular by Levon Helm, and then with Mavis Staples (IIRC). * The Church/Cotten performance was w/ Warren Haynes at his ‘Benefit Concert’. SRV and Walter Trout (it was in a duet with Beth Hart that I found him) are also among my top rated 🎸 🎤 artists for their style of music.
Just amazing, Joe thank you!
Such a beautiful voice my soul is saved❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's taken 34 years for a guitarist to fill the hole in my soul left by the death of SRV. I'm finally and completely healed. The soul, the touch, and OMG that tone. 4/22/24 update. Lots of replies to my post, thanks folks. One thing I failed to mention before is that Joe could have hired any handful of talented keyboardists but he went with Reese Wynans. You have to think in some small way that alone is Joe's respect for SRV and Double Trouble's legacy. God it's good to see Reese still playing so well at 76.
Different styles. Joe is diverse and tuneful.
RIP SRV one of the best.
Very well stated Brian. I couldn't agree more.
I also 💖 SRV, and Steve Vai, and of course Joe B.! I’m going on 70 yrs old now. 👍 Music has NO age limit imo!
@@elainemeyer5062 I beat you Elaine, lol. I turned 70 in Jan. It's very cool that we in the 60's and 70's still have great taste in music. :)
who was SRV?
👏 Oh WOW - What a great 🎸 🫨🎤 performance by Joe! I’m almost 70, and have been a huge fan of his for a long time. I NEVER get tired of hearing and watching videos of him play the same ones, but THIS is such a beautiful and ‘refreshing’ new song of his! I hope I’ll be able to see him perform live this year - IF he comes to NJ or NYC and when I’m not traveling. *** I saw Elton John’s ‘Farewell’ concert 2 X’s, Coldplay, TTB, AND also had tic’s for Clapton, Alicia Keys, Santana and Zucchero - all within the last couple years but couldn’t get ANYONE that wanted to go with me to the last 4, AND I even paid for 1st row/stage floor seats. Go figure… Hopefully I won’t miss out on seeing Joe! 🤞 ✝️
I’ll Go Next Time Nobody Wants To !!! Whadaya Have Cooties ???
@@allanramusiewicz996 LOL 😆 - NO I don’t! But I might have to take you up on your offer to go with me to another 👍 concert that nobody else has any interest in attending - depending of course on where you live! I’ve already made a list of those I’d like to get tic’s for.
Maestro Bonamassa in action !
Прекрасное исполнение замечательной вещи. Джо великолепен 👏👏👏👍
FINALLY a live version of this absolute masterpiece, probably my favorite song by Joe bonamassa, with a beautiful
guitar solo
And... This live version brought tears to my eyes
The best of the best!A brilliant musician🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏
Your voice is magnificent, captivating, I admire your work and your stage presence.❤🧡👋
I agree with u 100%! Fabulously done AND both his 🎸 and 🫨🎤 were 👏. The difference in Joe’s voice is that he’s improved a LOT since getting a vocal ‘coach’ - which he’s admitted that he needed. It’s paid off in many ways.
When music can create an emotional response then you can say that the music is the best that it can be.
I actually shed a tear listening to this.
Well done........
Well done........
Just when I think that I cannot be jaw-dropped by Joe B again, he comes out with an arrangement and performance like this. Stunning! Beautiful!!
Sound at the Hollywood bowl can sometimes be hit or miss especially with orchestra and band but the sound here is ace Joe always brings his A game, well done to everyone involved
Why is that? Design flaw? Reminds me of the Sydney Opera House. As stunning as it is architecturally, It's an acoustical nightmare, and it was designed (obviously) as an opera venue! They had to invest millions after it first opened, to improve the acoustics, and I understand they're still not ideal. In addition, it's slowly sinking into the bay, but that's another issue!
Looking forward to seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall in a couple of days!! :)
Joe Bonamassa is coming to Cincinnati again and I am not missing this one.
Joe Bonamassa just keeps getting better. But let’s also talk about the great job the trumpet player did.
Horns rule🎺
Джо отличный певец! Браво! Joe is a very good singer! Bravo!
I really enjoyed this. And loved the opening trumpet part by Rashawn Ross of Dave Matthews Band!
another masterpiece..
Beautifully done!
Thanks dear I really appreciate you I hope you get to attend my live shows someday
Never enough Joe!!
Josh Smith coming off the bench!? Wow, what a lineup 🎸🔥
The greatest guitarist no one has ever heard of.
Never heard of ? Your silly 😂😂😂😂😂
What a masterpiece!!!!, sat quietly in my chair with no distraction and thoroughly enjoyed it in my whole body,,
Bayonne 🇨🇵 Merci Joe

Il etait a Paris ilya quelques mois
yep i live in Bayonne France. Amazing !! Thanks Mister Bonamassa
I live in Bayonne, New Jersey. But the song was inspired by matador prayer booth in Bayonne, France. Imagine listening to this piece live, it must be an amazing experience.
@@whiteeagle2585 Yep, i came twice in Bayonne N.J Great experience. Met Mayor Krycek and Joe Ryan of the city hall and is wife Nuala

Klasse Ballade.
Joe wie immer perfekt.
This is an unbelievable fantastic performance; great musicians and song, Joe is getting better and better; well done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🕺🏻😎
One of my favorite concerts!
Now that was heart rendering! Incredible!
You are watching the evolution of great talent, it is wonderful to watch, and marvel at such a special creature as Joe. I am spellbound.
Saw this Live, It was Legend! I was wondering how a Blues-Rock guy like J.B. would work with an Orchestra, He said during the concert it took years. It was worth it!
I’m up in FTL trying to start a life home in FL… I wish I could’ve seen him in Hollywood (but far). I first learned of this musician because our local guy, Ryan McGarvey played with him. Two great talents…
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written! And Joe is a bonafide genius! A guitarist extraordinaire!
King crimson epitaph
Joe is the ultimate live performer. I am planning to see him the fourth time this fall. He ain't bad in the studio either.
The orchestral arrangement is amazing.
Браво маэстро! Как всегда изумительно и великолепно!
...I can only imagine what this song would sound like played Live in the open air here in Seville...
...I miss my Bonnabuddies!
This is one of the melodically soulful songs I've heard from Joe. Really enjoyed this

Beautiful voice and gold star music 🌟🎺👌🎶
Joe + orchestra = match made in heaven. SIMPLY DEVINE!
So insanely good, I just keep playing it. Chills man.
What a talented guy. Following him for so long, his performances are just amazing.
Unglaublich
Bin hin und weg
Vielen Dank für diese Musik
Masters, Masterpiece, thank you Joe.
staying true to the music.. gotta love it Joe. bingotown here.
Джо,как всегда на высоте ! Интересная композиция. Приятное исполнение !
Live is really the very best way to hear Bonamassa, I saw him at Antone’s in Austin Texas The Old building I can't remember what year it was…
nice "Wish you were here" vibe, but man...how beautiful....
Joe bonamassa the best voice and Guitar of the blues rock
Это Человек!, который Знает Что такое «Виноград»!❤
WOW, what an amazing arrangement and SPECTACULAR performance. I cannot WAIT for my pre-ordered Blu-ray to arrive!!!
Now I have to get this album too. This is beautiful and the orchestra is another new addition to Joe's performances. 🧡🌟❤
bonjour, auriez-vous sur votre album le nom du trompettiste qui débute le morceau par hasard? merci...
@@tiphainecalzaroni9555 I hope I translated correctly. " song features a stirring trumpet solo by Rashawn Ross of the Dave Matthews Band"
@@LyonByTheSeaextra ! Merci beaucoup !❤
Soulfully overwhelming
OMG!! This is simply outstanding, what a performance from a master of his craft..Hope he plays this at the Royal Albert Hall on April 5th!!! 🔥🔥
Fantastic music and amazing performance ! ❤
Just beautifully played. I expected nothing less
Like someone said below... "a masterpiece". A nice twist of a blues progression. The orchestral arrangement and delivery is perfection. The band, the BG singers... this is one of my favorite pieces of music so far this year. See ya/hear ya @ Norm's.
Just absolutely gorgeous that only Joe Bonamassa can pull off, truly a Masterpiece of song !!
Love it! Just saw him do this song in Orlando. Terrific show 😮❤😊
I love this man ❤
