Brother I 100 percent agree with you. I’m a police officer as well and this is what I struggle with at times. Just like you, the job itself is not the problem. It’s that balance. And I’m married so you can imagine how it is when the conversation comes up about time and balance.
What is your thoughts on all of the social media channels popping up that show body cam footage of court cases of corupt cops? How do you deal with coworkers who abuse citizens God given and civil rights?
I think they are great and should continue to be posted. Unfortunately those things are a reality of the job, no cop is perfect. It’s easy to say to report them but that will most likely cause problems for yourself. I never had to work with any officer who abused anybody’s rights
do the background investigator talk to your ex wife at all cause I was divorce at 23 toxic relationship was wondering if I might get dq from the things she might say
They may look into that and speak to her so it depends on what she says. You just will have to explain your self and its prob best if If you didn’t have any restraining orders or charges etc
