I've watched the Korean version, and now the Philippine Adaptation. There are lots of similar scenes, yet the Philippines manage to make it original in their own. I must say that the Philippine Adaptation is doing their best. As a Filipino, and a kdrama lover, I'm proud of the Philippine remake of DOTS.
I love this drama because I saw the original and they adapted the best scenes but with a Filipino touch that I can relate to as a Filipino. The first adaptation that I really love so far. Thank you for your reaction. Btw, the male lead is already happily married with kids and the female lead is engaged already. Even though they have their other halves, they are still very "kilig" on screen. Great actors! 😊
They had some resembles but they had different twist. Like the PH adaptation more realistic coz they incorporated more involvement of community members which is our usual environment 👌

It will be in the same network (GMA Network) where the Descendants of the Sun Philippine Adaptation is airing. GMA Network also did the Philippine adaptations or versions of Endless Love pr Autumn in My Heart, Full House, Stairway to Heaven, Temptation of Wife, and My Love From the Star...
GMA Network once announced that they'll going to do a Filipino adaptation or version of Meteor Garden of Taiwan (or the Boys Over Flowers of Korea. I am not just sure which), but I guess it was postponed or cancelled coz it's been more or less 2-3 years already after the announcement was made, and it seems that nothing is going on for the local adaptation of the said Taiwanese series. I mean, there are no news nor updates on the auditions and pre-productions, so maybe they postponed or just already cancelled it all in all.
My favorite Kdrama addoptation here in the Philippines is Full House kahit bata pa ako kinikilig ako. Grave si Richard at Heart may chem nun. Plus si John Lapus nakaktawang reporter
As someone who saw the original and this version, I can honestly say that it is a good adaptation. It followed enough beats from the original but added enough new stuff to make it its own- the perfect balance. It definitely feels like its own thing. The actors are very good. I was initially skeptical when Ding Dong Dantes was announced to be playing Big Boss. IDK, I was expecting someone who could pull off the mischievous part of his character, like Tom Rodriguez. I took it back. Ding Dong Dantes is perfect for the role The lead doctor never had a fight with anyone from the hospital that lead up to her joining and leading the medical mission. She volunteered on her own free will. I really hope GMA uploads the full episodes with subtitles, because you would definitely enjoy this (PS: Thanks to the COVID-19, the show stopped right before the earthquake episodes. Just FYI)

And maybe I should watch the PH adaptation in GMA7 mukhang maganda. You will feel the similarity but usually the sense or feels of the drama made to match the culture of the country airing it. So for us it's like more of a Filipino approach than Korean. The scene is from the original but the character traits or emotions is basically made base on the taste of Filipinos too. (That's what think😅)
