  • I had an old Dell Latitude D530 laptop with broken backlight tube and I used it to make myself a new all in one PC ( I replaced the backlight tube with one from a broken screen).
PC Specs: 2Ghz Dual core , Intel x3100 Graphics and 4 GB RAM

I like that design. It's retro and at first glance looks just like an older Mac from the 90s. That Linux distro matches it perfectly. Great Job!

    This looks good
    Is cooling good ?
    have you checked CPU temps?

NRD TechBroadcast The cooling was ok for youtube and web browsing but it was getting hot on long gaming sessions. I ended up cutting a hole so that the hot air can escape easier. I also ran a stress test and it never went past 85 degrees Celsius. Anyway this was never really meant for harcore gaming. I built it for my kids to play with it.

NRD TechBroadcast It has both. the speakers are in the black rectangular box in the back. wifi antena is glued inside close to the speaker hole.

    no room for airflow

I ended up making a hole for airflow, a few days after posting the video. Even without the hole it maintained a good temperature on the cpu. The hot air escaped through different holes. I made the hole in the bottom side right in front of the heatsink.
