I’m wondering if this could work with my spare and unused iPhone 6s, the only thing wrong with that phone is that the backlight is extremely dull, so the screens visible when I shine a torch on it or mirror using 3u tool, so not sure if it would affect this project
DepT _ ToxiC Apple devices are not the best for this kind of project but i believe that you can connect to a wireless display and then use a bluetooth mouse using the new accessibility function in ios 13. The problem is that you still have to use the touchscreen of the phone to enable the wireless display and the mouse accessibility function.

I don't know if there is any android tv build for that phone, but you should be able to install a tv launcher, this way you get the tv interface and all the benefits of full android.

Vanimar Singh What you want is not impossible but really close. I don't know how to do that. It is not just a simple connection. The signal has to be interpreted by some logic board and then output to hdmi. My tablet allready had a mini hdmi out port and that is why i could do what i did.

The chips are usually pressed against the case with thermal pads so adding a layer of aluminium should prevent hot spots that air cooling alone may not.
It is true, but in my case I used an aluminium radiator for the chips that were covered by the aluminium foil. The radiator actually heats when I use the tv box so it does transfer heat. I don't think that the fan was actually necessary but it lowers the temperature and was fun to build.

It looked like the board ended up resting on the battery, did the inside of the box end up a little too small to fit it properly or did I also not see that correctly?
@@MadScientist512 Yes, the board is resting on top of the battery but the battery section is slightly deeper. I wanted the box to be square. The hole box could have been about 10 mm thinner but the MDF i used was 40mm thick and i left it like that.

Thank you, sadly this is not a viable recycling method because most phones and tablets do not support video out. I was lucky that my tablet had hdmi out. I did not add much to the motherboard of the tablet, only a cooling fan that was powered by the screen inverter ( you can adjust the fan speed by adjusting the screen brightness). That is all i did. Anyone can do this project.

@@anubhabdutta680 The device needs to have MHL support, not all phones have, and this cable that you've linked here probably it won't work in 90% of the phones. MHL Support is present on the Samsung Galaxs S and Note (Not sure if all of them), Microsoft Lumia 950/950XL (There's others I'm not aware off), I think all google pixel and nexus devices have that too, I don't know if oneplus have it, but I think it does, and the rest of the brands out there almost none will have that support.

There is no risk. The only thing is that the battery will degrade over time. I kept the battery inside because i wanted to be able to unplug the device while running, if needed.

No... the tablet will not handle super gaming... this is some random cheap Chinese tablet... If you have a Samsung tablet that is new but you broke it somehow... then yes that's will work... but not with a cheap android tablet

mine doesnt have HDMI output either (samsung galaxy tab A) but surprisingly they make a cord that plugs into the power and connects to hdmi port on TV and has a new power hole.

Simran Deep I believe it was called Serioux Suria Fun 10. It is an old low budget tablet. The good thing about it was the fact that it had mini HDMI out.
Simran Deep Not all tablets are suited for this... it is preferable to use a tablet that has hdmi out or MHL Cable support. The cooling fan is not required. I only used it in my build to help the proccessor. If you tablet does not have hdmi out or is not MHL enabled then is pretty hard to get video signal form the screen connector on the motherboard to a TV. It all depends on your tablet. The best thing you can do is to search on google if someone has allready done this using your tablet model.

crazy scooby is your screen completely broken or just the touch part? If only the touch screen is broken you can use a mouse connected to the micro usb port on the phone to enable bluetooth and then connect a bluetooth keyboard with touchpad. After this you can disconect the usb mouse and then attach the MHL cable for video output and start using the phone as a tv box. If your screen is completely broken, then it is a little harder. I believe there is a type of MHL standard that supports usb OTG together with video output. This might not be supported by your phone. You will have to check on forums for the exact model of phone that you have or check which MHL standard your phone supports. Good luck! I hope my answer helps you.
Strange Gamer Depends on how your tablet/phone is made but you should be able to power it directly on the motherboard with 3.7v power supply. Some devices only need two wires ( like mine did) but some have other comunication wires from the battery charge module on the battery. If you have a bad battery you can take the charging circuit from it and connect the power supply to the charging circuit and then the charging circuit to the battery terminals on the motherboard.

I don't even know what tablet you have so I can't give you advice without knowing that. The best thing you can do is to search battery related topics about your tablet on google and you might find pictures that describe what each wire does.

FALSE NOMBRE That cable is called MHL and you should check again if your tablet is compatible with it. Not all tablets have that capability.
