Nick! Do you have any more tips for finishing mechanics on the high wrist guillotine? It's such a different arm position from the traditional guillotine that I feel my squeeze is off. I heard the part about moving the thumb towards your own delt, was just wondering if there's anything else you emphasize. Thanks man. Great stuff as always!
Hey, thank you for reaching out. A high wrist guillotine needs double closer, the bicep blocking 1 side and the forearm blocking the other. Think about having your fingertips pointing up towards the sky. The further your hand drifts away, the less success you'll have with the strangle.
Very good content and well explained. Thanks a lot for sharing! One question though, I hope you can help me out here: Why following her when she turns? If she turns and i don't stick close to her, she turns but still remains under me and ends up in my North-South. Am I missing something?
From the north south to the backwards roll, how do you know which shoulder to roll over? Like the way I've seen backwards rolling into mount for example you'd roll over your right shoulder to get a mounted guillotine
Awesome content, as usual! Great win at 10p Austin via this style guillotine by the way.
Thank you Drew, I appreciate your comment and hopefully you got something from this vid 🔥🙏🔥

Exactly? That's also a great option, different options for one situation is a good thing.

Always the shoulder that doesn't have the chin strap.
In the case of a mounted guillotine, you're correct, but for the roll, to beat their scramble, roll over the shoulder that doesn't have the chin strap
@@nickortizjiujitsu appreciate the reply my man!!!!
This might be a dumb question, but which thumb are you trying to take to your own delt?
Same thumb as the strangle arm, so right thumb comes to right delt for a high wrist guillotine
@@nickortizjiujitsu Awesome, thank you!
Can someone with short arms do this choke?
Absolutely, I have short arms.
Hey nick, have you been injured? Great content as usual
Slight tear of my lcl, been taking it slow but I'll be back to training soon 🙏😬🙏
