    Mr. Ortiz, this would have been very helpful to that kid Liam at B Team a couple of days ago. He was caught tin this same exact position with a fully extended leg and his ACL was blown out. As always, many thanks for your continuing instructional(s) and may God Bless. 🤙

      That's the video that had people asking me about a defensive answer to this situation, but what happened to Liam should've and could've been avoided.

      I only dabble in leglocks, but this was the exact situation I thought of once Nick Ortiz started describing the position. Lateral kneebars... *shudder* Honestly makes me not even want to try it in training, for my partners' safety

      @@counterhit121 I completely understand protecting your partner but definitely drill the move so you have it in your back pocket

    Any chance you could inverse this video - showing the attacking options?

    • @nickortizjiujitsu
      @nickortizjiujitsu  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can do that for sure, there's good number of attacks that make this position great.

    Would you defend the same way if she didn't have your secondary leg?

    • @nickortizjiujitsu
      @nickortizjiujitsu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have your secondary leg, turning away is much easier, just be ready for the outside heel hook situation

    The female at B team that broke her training partner’s leg for no reason should be talked to as well. That was disgusting

      I think the important thing is teaching how to be safe in the positions and how to protect yourself and your partner, accidents do happen and it's our job to prevent them as much as possible.
      Being on the mats is the most important thing.

      wait, for no reason? don't blame her, as she attempted the submission the knee popped immediately, it wasn't a dirty move
