BitWit bruh why did you put a CPU cooler on? the i5 6600k already perfectly matches the colour theme! (and yes it is spelt 'colour' over here... fuck you lol)
I actually work at micron and I actually designed the labels during the time this one label was designed. The particular adhesive for this label was a brand new technique to help it be applied by an auto labeler instead of by hand as the previous adhesive always resulted in bubbling of the label. So the adhesive is actually applied in like a cross hatch pattern on the back. But when removing it, it doesn't all come off together, you would have honestly had an easier time removing it when it was cold though. And then use the label itself to pick up the rest of the adhesive (we have to do it all the time for RMA drives)
I hear you guys about the Noctua fans that I put on the cooler not being optimized for static pressure. I read several reviews saying they could be used for cases *or* fin stacks so we'll just have to see how the temps fare in part 2!
Definitely anxious to see the temps with that style of fan because if they are even half decent for radiators when compared to the regular Noctua fans, I would totally take a small performance trade off in exchange for not having to paint anymore fans. I have spent entirely too much time painting the Noctua fans in my rig and one of them even sacrificed it's life during the whole ordeal. Great video Kyle!
They should do build offs yearly, we could call it Iron Nerd, the fans would vote for the theme and they would have 8h to find/purchase all the parts and put it together.
One of the best ways I've been able to remove leftover sticker or label gunk is to use acetone aka nail polish remover. Leave a generous amount on the affected area for about 20 seconds and then start wiping the area with a paper tower. If there is still a little bit left afterwards just do the same thing again and presto, you have yourself a shining label free device.
Best way to get the residue off is 3m adhesive remover or mineral spirit .The 3M can be purchase at any major automotive parts store .Apply on surface and rub it in wearing latex glove and let sit for 5 minutes and remove with blue absorbent paper shop towels can also be purchased at any auto parts store and Home Depot or Lowes . I'm an automotive painter and do this almost every other day on new parts that I need to paint ,the majority of new parts come with labels that need to be removed before painting . I just save you 55 minutes!!!!! loll Nice build live long and prosper !
I cannot tell you how much I like this build. Yep, I'm not the enthusiastic-6950X+Titan XP-wannabe type of guy. I like a pc with power, but it has to have beauty. And this is the most perfectly balanced build I've ever seen between performance and aesthetics. This is as close to my "perfect pc" as I've seen so far. Thank you for this. Cheers :)
Actually, any sticky residue is easiest to clean with something oily, even vegetable oil, and a rag. Then you just clean up the oily gunk, which is easy. :)
Kyle, I was watching one of your videos in my kitchen a while back and my brother came in and told me that the music to the video I was watching sounded like elevator music. I laughed so hard when I thought about it because it was the slow, post-build music that you play after the pc build and this video reminded me of that.
I'm planning out a build right now, and I really want to use the Enthoo Evolve (but probably not the TG edition) and the FTW 1080, so I'm really happy to see this build. Thanks!
Love that case! I bought a Define R5 the day before the original Enthoo Evolv ATX came out. I regret everything. Quick warning to anyone who reads this: plz no buy fractal design unless ur boring af
i think a the grey or silver color looks awesome cause it gives you this canvas that you can shed some LED lights on .. any lighting color matches perfectly with grey and gives it a nice tone .. better that shedding light on all black or all white parts
Something like New Year New build for january, using all the newest componets maybe in an Emerald custom build. for November I'd like to see a brown, fall leaves kind of them on a "Super Fat Oversized build" to go with thanksgiving
Kyle, I built a similar system in the Enthoo, just white with a 980Ti and 6700K instead. I wound up putting my 240 rad on the front because it just sticks down too far when mounted on the bracket. I put three fans on the top for exhaust, the two on the front pulling air in and the one in the back exhausting. Seems to work pretty well. I also got corsair fans with lights (white of course) and the LED strips around the left side of the bottom and front and right side of the top.
Actually, this looks gorgeous, just one thing. Can you make the ftw led on the 1070 white? It kinda bother me how all is perfect but that led is fucking blue
Andy Brooks I just built this computer and wanted the quicksilver so bad. Too bad all the 1070s are sold out, including that one. I had to put a gtx 1080 ftw2.
you would have to do a thing called flashing the bios just look up a tutorial on it also every even number intel releases (6000 series,6700k) the create a new architecture and each odd number they improve on that architecture (7000 series, 7700k) so for boards that are created for even numbered cpus if you put an odd numbered cpu in it you must flash the bios
Kyle I've been watching every video of yours for about w months now, love them all but the phanteks evolv case is a case that I've been thinking for myself and seeing you build in it was the point where i was like done this is the one, this sexy sexy case, thank you Kyle.
@BitWit If you want to remove adhesive residue like that use margerine or creamy peanut butter. Spread it on and leave it for an hour, or if it is really bad overnight, and it will just wipe off from the oils and fatty acids.
Very nice, clean. Great cable work. I really like it. You should do the build with the same case but with an update of CPU and MOBO. Some RGB on RAM maybe?
The only silver build where the mobo is titanium, the RAM is platinum, the hard drive black, and the PSU gold... alright I guess the "Galaxy silver" case qualifies. GG
Gotta love the Phanteks case. I have the same one and of all the builds I have done it is my favorite so far. I like the color scheme however would have stuck with black fans personally and front mounted the rad. I know a lot of people are against front mounting however my systems thermals are fine. Nice job on the wire management, love the cable extensions.
Man that looks so epic! wish I could build a computer like this but it's too expensive for parts in Australia. a build like that would set me back about 2k Australian. keep up the builds loving them!
Have the same case. Mistake was to put radiator on the top. It goes in the front as an intake. On the top it just reuses it`s own air and temperature howers at the same level as GPU. By changing it, temps drops to 50ish and nothing changes to GPU temp.
Can't even contain myself to watch the whole video before commenting! I've been thinking about doing this build based on the MPower board and the Enthoo Evolve case as well! So cool to get to see it done since I'm not really in the need of a new system right now! I'd planned to go with the new G.Skill RAM and maybe the darker gray case, and maybe adding some white details to make it kind of Star Wars ish, but damn I'm still happy to be able to see it done!
Radiator should be in the front so you can see the top of that beautiful motherboard - that is the only thing that seems off on that case. Fans look cool, but think either the new corsair maglev fans with white LEDs or the Noiseblocker fans (because they cool AF) might have given the build a more premium look. Also, if you still don't know what to do with that build feel free to send it to Denmark!
Here's an idea for your November Build: Since bonfire night is in November and fireworks have many different colors when they explode you could maybe do a full RGB build with loads of different colors pulsating at once, since you can get RGB motherboards and ram these days, it'll be an eyesore but hey its an idea nonetheless
Awesome!!! I just love your PC builds, Kyle. IMO, your builds are best. Even better than LTT and other TH-camrs. But it's such a pity that you don't do them more frequently.
The AIO water cooler gets in the way of an awesome looking build. In this case, if not custom cooling, then a great looking heatsink and fan would be better. Otherwise, great build.
I just wanted to thank you for this vid. I based my new build on this build. I did change a few things, but loved this so much I just had to let you know that my new build has many of these components. Thanks!
this may be your best. i love the simplicity and especially the noctuas. good job! it's a shame they won't sell the 120mm with the static pressure blades in grey. i guess it would kill their poop colored line up. keep it up man!
I'll just confirm this now - Yes, I built this computer without pants on. #youtubelife
BitWit #NoShame
BitWit horny
Was anything else off?
Why didnt you use the special dominator platinum ram with the chrome plating
BitWit bruh why did you put a CPU cooler on? the i5 6600k already perfectly matches the colour theme! (and yes it is spelt 'colour' over here... fuck you lol)
"Quicksilver" its fast and silver. Simple as that
I actually work at micron and I actually designed the labels during the time this one label was designed. Why the gold rated psu? you should have used silver since this is the silver build. Great build btw.

Yeah, I was pretty worried about those as soon as I saw them, pretty much as far away from being static pressure optimized that you can get
BitWit dude it is gorgeous can u sell it to me?
Was going to comment about the fans but then I saw this comment. Nice build by the way!
Definitely anxious to see the temps with that style of fan because if they are even half decent for radiators when compared to the regular Noctua fans, I would totally take a small performance trade off in exchange for not having to paint anymore fans. BitWit frames bigger than my future
I have an a idea ! This PC will be a great 500k giveaway) like if agree)
This build seems nice, still doesn't quite live up to the standard set by the Golden Build. A close second though. 😉
+Paul's Hardware I think Pimp Kyle would readily take your side on this one.
I think a build off is in order.
yes indeed
Roasted!

that sticky shit from the SSD, or any sticker really, goes away with some isopropyl alcohol
Angel Vega or goo gone
Yeah, goo gone is my suggestion. That stuff does the lord's work.
WD40 also takes off the residue without any problems. Just another thing in case you dont have the other suggested products.
Why does he peeled off the sticker anyway? Any good reason?
Actually, any sticky residue is easiest to clean with something oily, even vegetable oil, and a rag. Then you just clean up the oily gunk, which is easy. :)
That GPU Sag! A support beam will hide nicely behind the cables.

omg Silver is my favourite colour
THE SILVER KNIGHT And here I thought it was purple.
Eriko. Oy Like purple brown yellow and maroons, best colour combination guaranteed.
N.R 2000 silver is not a color

I'm planning out a build right now, and I really want to use the Enthoo Evolve (but probably not the TG edition) and the FTW 1080, so I'm really happy to see this build. Thanks!

Bro do a white and black theme with a $1000 budget
(Like if you want this to happen)
Has to be one of the best looking cases ever. I love my Obsidian 750D, but if I could start over I'd buy that case. Fantastic build also.
Actually, this looks gorgeous, just one thing. Can you make the ftw led on the 1070 white? It kinda bother me how all is perfect but that led is fucking blue
I think yes, but I was asking for the FTW logo
Perfect, thank you for letting me know :)
I feel like this build has a classy premium look to it!
should have gotten the msi gtx 1070 quicksilver
Andy Brooks I just built this computer and wanted the quicksilver so bad. Too bad all the 1070s are sold out, including that one. I had to put a gtx 1080 ftw2.
Alexander Vaughan why you lackin on the fact you were forced to get a better card?
You should put the radiator in the front of the case. It would allow all of the RAM and mobo to be seen. Plus your CPU get fresh air.
I paid $280 for that case here in AUS :( Worth it though
ThatAussieBloke RIP it's around that price here in NZ as well, my build costs $980-$1000 in the US but $1500-$1700 in NZ, it's stupid.
ThatAussieBloke im in Malaysia and im fucked as well thinngs are super expensive
The price for my build in the U.S is almost 1000$ cheaper than in Canada... Exchange rates are fun!
Ravindran Anpalahan well Malaysia currencies fked me.Really want a pc and iPhone...
***** That may be the Liquid cooling mount
I really love this build, I might do a similar one in the future. It looks really clean, but bold enough to say "I'm a beast of a PC". Digging it
tried to mimic this build, but on part picker it claims the mobo won't work with a 7700k???
Matthew Backwell its a z170 mobo
Odrish I am confused, it says the bios settings would need updated or something.
Because its a z170 board, 7th gen cpus need a z270 chipset or a updated z170, if you buy a z170 board and a kaby lake cpu it won't work
you would have to do a thing called flashing the bios just look up a tutorial on it
also every even number intel releases (6000 series,6700k) the create a new architecture and each odd number they improve on that architecture (7000 series, 7700k) so for boards that are created for even numbered cpus if you put an odd numbered cpu in it you must flash the bios
Matthew Backwell Bitwit has magical powers.
Still my favorite silver build so far.
WTF why a turkey build Thanksgiving was a few days ago
I know i live in Canada
Trevor m ya no 1 cares about canadia

Great build, and also getting pretty close to the 500k subs Kyle! A WOOT WOOT is in order!
There is no sense to use noctua fans with aio from corsair because pump in this aio is very loud even in quiet mode...
This isn't a silent build-its based on aesthetics
Kyle I've been watching every video of yours for about w months now, love them all but the phanteks evolv case is a case that I've been thinking for myself and seeing you build in it was the point where i was like done this is the one, this sexy sexy case, thank you Kyle.
What was the overall price in usd?
same
Yes.
Not Lonely use pcpartpicker

@BitWit If you want to remove adhesive residue like that use margerine or creamy peanut butter. Spread it on and leave it for an hour, or if it is really bad overnight, and it will just wipe off from the oils and fatty acids.
Intel is so boring....make AMD build here and there.
amd is bad
replace bad with outdated
2Starfighter It is outdated, but I wonder how Zen will be?
I have FX-8370, 16Gb of ram and R9 280;this PC works fine and you can call it whatever you want but it is not bad.
2Starfighter Can't exactly upgrade that except for graphics card.
Very nice, clean. Great cable work. I really like it. You should do the build with the same case but with an update of CPU and MOBO. Some RGB on RAM maybe?
Bonus points for using my favorite mainboard (and for going back to windows 8.1 for hotline).
I like the professional look of it, less exciting than some others but it looks very streamlined
The only silver build where the mobo is titanium, the RAM is platinum, the hard drive black, and the PSU gold... alright I guess the "Galaxy silver" case qualifies. GG

That pc is just fantastic. Love the colour theme.
For me the pc is perfect in every category
High performance components + Nice looking + Your modding ideas... Awsome, My next build will be something like this one.
Finally a new build! Keep up the good job Kyle.
Sweet build Kyle! 8 days til my 33rd day o' birth and im hoping to possibly get some hardware to replace my dated athlon rig! Dat mobo is beautiful
It's an Amazing Built!!! Silver seemed boring at first like in Out dates Office PCs ... But this is JUST OUTRIGHT DELICIOUS!!! ❤❤ Loved this Built!!!
Nobody can build it better!!
That Star Citizen desktop wallpaper though. Merchantman hype!
Have the same case. Mistake was to put radiator on the top. It goes in the front as an intake. On the top it just reuses it`s own air and temperature howers at the same level as GPU. By changing it, temps drops to 50ish and nothing changes to GPU temp.
All the more to build using this case. Hella sweet build. Looks are on point.

those custom wiring sleeve is just lovely! need to order some but he said hes a bit backordered and will be delayed! good job kyle...
THIS IS THE BUILD I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!
Best build you've ever done Kyle, well done
They way that rad and fans cover up most of the mobo is unsightly. I really love this case but that's what putting me off getting one
Best build you've done so far. Looks fantastic!
