Love all the thought that has gone into the kit! It's very practical and covers a lot of stuff. I've never seen anyone put the detailed work into their tin like that. It's awesome. I also really like the time you put into the PDF for us as viewers to download. It makes it super easy to reference back to when we make purchases. I love the channel!
You are very welcome, Dylan. Having the companion PDF is something I just started doing in 2012 and I'm really pleased that people seem to enjoy having it included with these kit videos.
Great update. My wife made me a tin for Christmas based on your videos. She is a big fan! She personalized it to things that I need (as per your advice). Included a multi-tool, a flashlight, low-profile nail clippers, clips and pins, a space pen, $20, and myriad other useful things, securing it all with rare earth magnets - and a Starbucks Coffee Via for everyone else's safety. It was the best present I've ever received and I use it all the time. I'd love to repay the favor with one of your new tins!
I really love the way think. extremely comprehensive kit. I never would have thought about the ratchet. I work in k-12 schools and am very limited in the gear I can legally and ethically carry. I also love the idea of the SD cards with copy of Wikipedia. it makes me think about how I can store reference material for offline use. your video as always was very inspiring. lastly, you've solved the biggest issue I've had with these kits... noise. obviously pain staking work, but you've fixed the rattling. I walk all day long for my job. this will allow me to still be prepared, but keep me in compliance and keep my sanity . beautiful work sir. best kit I have seen
Very clever of you. I've seen Heaven knows HOW many Altoids tin EDC kits, but yours is by FAR the most efficient and unique in its layout and composition. It wouldn't be a stretch to say you could sell these preassembled kits, minus the cashola and meds, and create a decent niche market for yourself. Thanks for sharing this with us. PS, SUPER idea of placing a small photo of your Prepper Kiddos in the kit, too. I'd look at it as a reminder of why you are prepping and ensuring you make it home to those most precious people.
I love the fact that the tins you post actually have practical application beyond the usual attempt at a micro bug out bag that really won't help with much. Sometimes it's nice to be able to save the day at the office because unlike everyone else there you actually have a screwdriver or pliers with you.
Very nice kit, your kits have been an inspiration for me to create my own edc kits. Not Altoid based, but using a pocket organiser and an old camera case. These two i use depending on wich pants i have on. The pocket organiser when i have tactical pants with cargo pockets, the camera case when i have jeans or slacks, i can carry it on my belt and people think i have a camera. My kits are not for survival, they are for daily use, and i think i use something from them everyday. What i keep in both of tem is an USB to micro USB cable, an Anker Powercore+mini, a Victorinox either a Compact or a Tourist, a lighter and a flashlight, a small first aidkit and a spare AAA battery, and some painkillers. In the pocket organiser i have also a pen, a prytool a pencil and some other things to complement my knife, keychain and flashlight.
Loved the altoids tin. Never really thought about an urban kit before . Thank you, you really gave me something to thing about. I have a fishing tin and a fire starter tin but never thought about an Urban tin and I live in the Urban area. Wow Thank You very much.
Fantastic kit! Loved v2 and this is full of logical incremental improvements. I use a tin-based kit inspired by your v2, and although it's not an Altoids tin the same principles of organisation and ruthless space-saving apply. The only improvement I could think of for v3 would be, since you couldn't fit the match striker in the lid of the mini tin, maybe trim it down and glue to the bottom/side of the mini tin. I glued a striker to the inside of my main tin, and it's always held there just fine! Keep up the great work!
I really need to get off my butt and put one of these together for myself (if I don't end up wining one that you're giving away). I'm always digging through the various pockets of my EDC bag looking for bits and bobbles and having an organized system would be very beneficial. Your tiered EDC system has been the basis for most of my EDC preps. Keep up the great work!
just as an fyi; all meds n vitamins lose potency quickly unless they are in an airtight container. so please change them out often. I use the small contact lens cases for any pills as they are airtight and waterproof, thin and fit well in pockets . yes they are smallish but they keep the meds fresh n potent. I keep one in all my packs, bobs n med kits etc. btw, LOVE your magnate idea and your kits. Thank you for all the useful info you put into all your vids.
When I became a prepper, just a few years ago, I struggled to gain all of the knowledge that I required to be successful in this. Your channel has given me a knowledge that allowed be to be safe and be prepared and it's the BOB's, the EDC's and the Altoids Kit videos that all contribute to my cycle of prepping projects, knowledge and gear! These giveaways that you do are really generous and kind! Thank you for this channel! :)
I used to watch What's in your Bag videos until I stumbled on your channel! I watched this while cleaning my bag and it helped a lot in reevaluating what I bring everyday!
I never really considered it before, but maybe I could setup a Kickstarter Campaign so everyone could order theirs custom. I'll send you an email to pick your brain.
+TheUrbanPrepper Absolutely, this is not just some gimmicky made in China survival kit, this is incredibly high quality and practical. Drop me a line whenenever
I think what I appreciate most about this kit is that it serves as a reminder to other preppers that although we plan for the worst, the worst hasn't happened yet. As such we don't need our survival kits or BOB when we're walking around the city, we need a system that's more adapted to its setting and that's exactly what gap this style of kit fills. A practical kit to match its environment.
Thank you for sharing your version of the EDC Kit. Especially good of you to give some of them away. Giving practical gifts is NOT AS COMMON as it has been in the past. Those receiving the kids should be appreciative of your kindness.
Excellent kit, you've given me some great ideas. I might even make one for my 12 year old daughter. Especially since there's no knife. Seems public school friendly.
I've made some of these kits for my folks, and I used a lot of the ideas from this channel. They loved it. Some people don't realize how much money and times goes into it due to its size.
I love these kits and with this one you've covered all the bases. It's perfect for my husband, but I would need to add a few things. Hey, It would be really awesome if you could do collaboration with your wife for the female version of this EDC kit. I wish more women realized stuff like this is essential in a not so stable world.
This is the BEST KIT FOR URBAN ! As an Oathkeeper I've seen hundreds of altitudes kits and have 4 of my own in a custom canvas pouch ! Well done SIR ! You must have stayed up many nights planning the space out . I hope you NEVER NEED IT
Your channel is one of my favorites and has the best Altoids tin for us urbanites! Organized, detailed, clear and concise. The pdf makes purchasing a breeze. Doesn't get any better. Totally don't get why people would question the nail clippers, knuckle draggers.
What an awesome kit! My personal edc is 50 lbs of chocolate cookies in the back of my car ... I mean what situation could you possibly find yourself In where some cookies wouldn't help?
Yes, a needle and some thread wound up on a tiny piece of cardboard, essential thread colors being black, white and main color used in uniforms (eg work/school). Having spare buttons won't hurt either, but that's not essential.
I've been watching you for a few months now and I have four children myself and your PDFs and your descriptions as to why you've chosen things help me in deciding how to best protect myself and my family. I just wanted to thank you for all of your information that you provide to get me started on my own personal research into what I need for my customization.
I'm excited to see v3. Your last version was an inspiration for my fiancé's birthday present and my mom's last Mother's Day gift... I think Dad is jealous. I better make him one next!
Out of all the prepping kits (altoids or otherwise) that I’ve see, yours is the most practical and truly EDC. As a result, I’ve become an “UrbanPrepper” want-to-be. Thank you very much for all that you do and please keep up the good work.
4 aspirin and 11 diarrhea pills??? If you need 3x as much diarrhea medicine as ordinary pain/headache/hangover medicine you might want to talk to your doctor about that! :D
Aspirin are good, but I can tell you form a serious 'survival' standpoint, if you have severe diarrhea, from anything from bad food to a bacterial ingestion, you can dehydrate in less than 12 hours, to a serious, near fatal condition. I have seen this in SnR training.Trapped in a building, power out, injured in an unexpected scenario, whatever, those a-d tabs can be a lifesaver.
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your Urban EDC kit, while I don't like to consider myself a hard core prepper sort of guy, I confess I have been assembling my own sort of kit which I keep in my work bag, so far I have a ferro rod, a good solid folding knife, signal mirror, knife sharpener, some tinder, lightning charging cable, a small disk light, which also has a strobe feature a compass and a small first aid (ouch kit)I plan to supplement this now with some food rations and some baby wipes. I have already downloaded your PDF and plan to invest in some of the tools you have featured on your video.
It' s 2019 now ... April. What about a 4.0 version? I'm really curious, if you changed your Altoids-EDC in the past 3 years. I like your vids and your thoughts (and solutions) about prepping. Greetings from Germany Erwin PS: I hope, my english is still good enough to be understood ;-)))
Every time I watch one of your videos it send me on a virtual shopping trip and research frenzy. Don't buy many things on Amazon now due to the exchange/shipping to Australia. I usually use nail clippers multiple times a day so much better than multitool scissors for me too. Thanks for another great video.
I think I have finally found someone as obsessed with tiny objects as me! I have a gallon sized bag full of different tiny bottles I have collected from around the world (mainly Tokyo). You would have a field day in their store called Tokyo Hands. So much tiny stuff!
Not duct tape? It is very useful!! I make my own version and I just include one multitool that satisfied this necessity. I prefer include the led light and the whistle because if I lost my keychain? Thanks for the video! 👌🏼
FYI, I just checked the amazon price here in Canada for those tins: $46 DOLLARS!!!!!! Wow, I guess I'll just have to muddle along with stuff rattling around in my EDC tin.
I have a couple altoid tins in my edc bag but yours set up is far better than mine. I would love one like yours it is very thought out. Always love your organization. As a medic I have one set up for first aid and one with just odds and ends that would fit in the tin. But your version 3.0 is by far the best one to date. Keep up the amazing vids.
The addition of the SD card with the Wikipedia copy was a great idea. Knowledge is one of the best things you can have in any type of survival situation.
This kit includes a few great concepts: mini slider tins, magnetic attachment, fully usable ratchet / screwdriver... And what I really like - in contrast to most other altoids kits - it looks re-packable once opened, which makes sure that it is actually used. Good job refining that to this state!
Hi Urban Prepper, my name is Juan Cairo, i am writting from Argentina. I have been prepping for about five years, and i have my Altoids Tin also. I live in a urban/rural area, so i tried to make an hybrid kit. I really liked this video, your kit is great. Because i live in Argentina i cannot get some tools (leathermans are very expensive) so i try to use other items, maybe cheaper versions. I like your channel very much, your videos a awesome and very usefull for other preppers. I salute you from Argentina!!!! P.D: sorry about my english :) @concepcion_bush
Juan, you did great!! You're doing good getting your survival stuff together. It takes years to learn what works and what you might need to replace with another type. You're doing really good. You're ahead of most people so keep it up!! Greetings from America!!
Thank you Jennifer! Yeah, they really do take a lot of planning. They seem to slowly adapt throughout the year, forcing me to re-evaluate the individual items.
I replicated this kit with a few changes and it works so well. From the nail clippers to the tweezers to the pharmacy box. Very versatile. Not too heavy either. I'm just waiting for my magnets to come in the mail. Thanks for putting this together
Tampons? Worcestershire sauce packet? Name tag that says "Ryan Watson" or "Mike Liggara" in case you need to go incognito? Not complete yet without that stuff.
KUNG FU = the art of perfecting something for a lifetime, never accepting limits. New viewer, great organization and thought. Built versions of these before, magnets are genius. Love the ratchet, another thought would be ommit ratchet for kevlar cord (break through zip ties escape), lock picks to gain access to office doors, gerber artifact or shard for improvised pry bar and the new "form card" if you gain access to your office coffee maker it's a thin malleable plastic that can turn into anything. Just ideas, love love love the overall adaption of yours. Great job, thank you for sharing :)
Hello TUP! Wow, you must have really fresh breath! Thank you for your contributions to the prepper community. Your organizational abilities inspire me in many areas of life. Have a swell day!
One of the best EDC videos I have seen. Your creativity, I feel, raises the bar for others looking to live out a prepper mentality. I super appreciate all the work you do to inspire others. Thanks!
Thank you so much, Bradley. This video definitely took a lot of effort to produce. I hope that some of the ideas inspire others with their own preparedness measures.
For an additional/last resort cutting tool you could take a hacksaw blade and cut it to size for your kit. If you want a handle you can use duct tape or even a sharpie cap, it's up to you. Personally I like the insurance of have a last resort cutting tool. You could also use a razor blade if you prefer a non serrated blade or use both that works too.
This is the Ultimate OCD EDC ATK (Altoids Tin Kit). So many tools that serve multi-functions that integrate well together. Really well thought out. I've never seen such a refined kit with all the magnet mounting. You've set it up so that it is aesthetically pleasing. Great work. The level of professionalism you put in your videos is inspiring. Thanks for the amazing throughout the years.
Hi from spain , I told my sister buy me an altoids tin when she traveled to NY after I saw your version 2.0 video. It was a great inspiration for me with my urban EDC kit! Thanks!
I carry fingernail clippers and tweezers as well. I don't like using scissors unless I don't have clippers. I really admire how well everything fits together in the kit. But that's why it's version 3.0, you're able to find the smallest or best fitting version of everything. I also really liked the Wikipedia video, too. It never occurred to me to save it for myself. Thanks!
I just rewatched the video. Your Altoid Kit is just extremely amazing. I wouldn't have the patience to put it together in this manner. I am glad though that there are people like you who can do stuff like that. So impressed.
I love how everything is chosen due to its practicality! I work in an environment of some "tactically" minded individuals and they are constantly asking to use the nail clippers and dental floss of my EDC!
I'm a phone tech. I have never thought about carrying one of these but I can see many uses for it in my job. A hand made one by the Urban Prepper would be the bees knees!
Thanks for the video. I very much enjoy the kit. The tech side is very helpful because the office is where I live not the woods. have you considered a Scotch Single Use Super Glue Gel tube. Although they have a shelf life, I find that sometimes a small dot of glue will work like a magnet on a non ferrous object.
I really like this kit. Well thought out kit. Nail-clippers are necessary. I have some at work and in every dobbkit I have (I have 4 for camping, long-time travel, short term travel and motorcycle camping. ) Have to have clippers.
I've watched your vids for a very long time now, and I loved V1 of your EDC Kit, and I've made my own several times now. You have inspired me and brought me into the EDC scene and I'm carrying my own EDC every day (as the name implies). Thanks and keep up the amazing work!!!
Thank you kindly for posting another spectacular video. I have only recently joined the ranks of preppers and I'm still working on getting all of my gear and supplies together. I'm elated I stumbled upon your channel for several reasons. First and foremost I admire the way you keep your gear organized, although some may consider the extent of your organization to be superfluous, I find it rather refreshing. Another reason your channel appeals to me is due to the way you consistently have new ideas which improve upon the tried and true "classics" of prepping (this Altoids Tin is a prime example). And, last but not last, you strive for perfection; you improve upon, make changes to, and expand your ideas. I appreciate your reminder in this video that we don't prep to have the newest and coolest tools and gadget. We prep to make our life and the lives of our family and friends easier and safer.
Great kit, I copied your version 2 and carry It every day! There are some new things you have done that I will add to mine, thanks for doing a great job of these kits they are fun to build and handy to have and use. Thanks for your hard work and very complete research and pdf files. The coolest thing I learned on this was the idea to download a complete version of Wikipedia, would have never thought of that!ThanksMike in Victoria B.C.
I just wanted to let you know that I've been using this system--complete with slide top tins, Victorinox nail clippers, and Topeak ratchet--for a couple years now. The nail clippers get used the most of anything else. The split pea sized lighter I have (brand name is Dolphin from eBay, ~$2) gets used a ton too. My favorite piece of equipment is the ratchet. It gets a ton of use and is a true, quality tool worthy of real use. Thank you so much for this video.
Your Altoid system has been very helpful for my daily life. I created my own urban tin which is with me anytime I cannot carry my EDC bag. Lip balm seems to be my absolute essential in this tin with a close second being a small nail clipper. The tin brings me enough security to feel prepared, even without my full EDC. A Jansport Agave fulfills all my daily needs. Keep up the videos, it's extremely helpful.
Hi Urban Prepper, thank you for this new update video! I really respect your way of prepping and I am truly inspired by your systems like the different triers, the colors of prepping and your amazing tin. I hope it will inspire other people just as much, to keep the world a little bit more safe. Greetings from Holland!
Hands down you have the best Urban Altoid Kits and high quality videos of them. I just got into Altoid kits and your newer versions always inspire me for some new idea or gadget. My fiance said she forgot to take her thyroid medicine in the morning yesterday. Do you know who had a back up at the restaurant and also some Alkasetzer for her sister? Yup, I'm proud to say that was me. Thanks Urban Prepper!
I got to stop watching Urban Prepper- you come up with such super ideas I end up unhappy with my current prepping and realize I still have a ways to go. Some super ideas and I'll be working on improving and please keep putting out such super and informative videos Mark
It would make sense to add a small jigsaw blade or similar tool that can be used to pull a broken key out from a keyhole (unless you can do it with tools you already have). I've been in unpleasant situations few times when my motorbike keys would broke in a keyhole. Also looks like you still don't include a small bottle sanitation gel into your EDC for some reason, and this would be one of the most frequently-used items in both urban and outdoor settings.
I have been following your Altoid kits since the beginning! I love them! This new Version 3.0 is even better. I had bought some of the magnets to do my own kit, but haven't finished it yet. This gives me new ideas and motivation to make one. Your videos are always so informative and well thought out. Thanks
You have singlehandedly made me go broke! It all started with your first bug out bag and EDC bag, etc. I think you owe me an Altoids tin! Love your vids. Keep them coming. Thanks.
Amazing work! For those who questioned the nail clippers, they are awesome for precision wire cutting. I use them all the time at work, and weekly for the known purpose of course.
I've seen a few of your altoids kit vids. Very well thought out. I'm very impressed with the selection of tools you've crammed in there. and the magnet idea is pure genius!!!
Been watching all the Altoids EDCs and have been building my own following your suggestions from 1.0 on. The Vanquest Maximizer is by far your best recommendation. Use it everyday. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this information and your unique technique and organization. I am trying to implement many of your ideas in my own preps. Have been watching your videos for some time for ideas and inspiration. You are my go to guy for organization and urban prepping and I share your channel whenever anyone asks where to start. Keep up the great work and thank you!
these are my favorite videos that you do. I am always waiting for you to post videos. I am a commuter that uses public transit and work downtown, so your videos and the items you review really apply to me.
hands down the most detailed walk through of an Altoids EDC kit. wow, a little OCD but very good. i really must commend you on mentioning that this kit is made to YOUR liking and needs. it's a shame that the prepper community is sometimes so narrow minded about gear. yes, there are universal principles concerning gear and skills. and yes, some gear/skills are better than others at certain tasks. but a good deal of it should reflect your environment and personal taste or abilities. example: my mother, a prepper, is 64 years old. she has many limitations on what she can do or even use. so we have adapted the basic principles of prepping to fit her abilities and needs. does she have an equal chance of survival as a 22 year old healthy man . . . sadly no. but with the right training and gear that she is familiar with and capable of using she will have a much greater chance of surviving. also, not all of prepping is for SHTF end of the world scenarios . it is also for localized emergencies like bad weather, terrorist attack, or the local crazy disrupting your normal life in a multitude of ways. so kudos to you for thinking outside the "box" because that is where real life happens.
That is so cool. I definitely enjoy the testing aspect of these TH-cam videos. I feel that "the proof is in the pudding". I also feel that if I try to go big with these type of kits that it will help encourage others to raise their own personal bar. Hopefully all of this helps improve the prepping community as a whole.
I always love your videos Cliff, but esp enjoy the EDC ones like this. Your kits seem to make the most sense for everyday practical use. I esp appreciate the logic behind the items and how you offer your list with sources. Thanks again Cliff!
So, this is awesome. There is no doubt this is an awesome kit and i want one. I also realize that your game is urban prepping. (Hell it's in the name). But.... i know you make bug out bags and things of that nature. As much as i love watching your urban Altoids kit i would LOVE to see what you come up with in making a survival Altoids kit. Something that you don't use everyday but could be put in a bug out bag or in your car for emergency. I for one would like to see the Urban Peppers take on this.
Thank you for your sharing your smart, ingenious and cool EDC ideas. Your videos offer an excellent footprint and can be duplicated/customized. Your Altoids 3.0 is impressive and certainly got me thinking about preparedness at a higher level. Have an awesome day!
Definitely my favourite category of your videos, and I'm always extremely impressed with the amount of thoughtfulness you put into these kits. I would LOVE to win one of them. Thanks for the PDF too!
I always pick up something new from your videos. This time is the sim pin for my EDC pouch. Very handy as I routinely need to reset an electronic device with something small. Thanks for all your effort!
Love all the thought that has gone into the kit! It's very practical and covers a lot of stuff. I've never seen anyone put the detailed work into their tin like that. It's awesome.
It’s 2018 we need a 4.0 version
2019 now!

Mike G excellent for a quick easy, inexpensive airtight container. Thank you
Very helpful video and some very good ideas
I could listen to Urban Prepper all day. He is a stress reliever whether or not I find the info. helpful in real life!!!!!

+TheUrbanPrepper I was going to suggest the same. Sell them on ebay for $120 or so (or whatever margin you want)
Teach KidPrepper how to do the details, earn himself some cash.
Agreed, this would definitely sell

@@buy.almond3358 I think that's obviously going to be omitted since the word "12yo" and "school" were in that sentence.

Jacob Martinez I completely agree
A horde of angry no-sugar, organic moms
Mr. Night you could get a sugar rush and run away from them to the mountains
For some strange reason, Altoids EDC kits fascinate me. I could watch vids like this all day.
tiny sewing kit, definitely needs one. if you can repair something with a safety pin you can sew it a lot better.
I agree, I have one in my EDC
Wow! That is SO cool to hear.
+TheUrbanPrepper And of course I made one for myself. ;) But it has greatly evolved.
LOL!! I have to admit. That was hilarious. :)
I thought the same
Aspirin are good, but I can tell you form a serious 'survival' standpoint, if you have severe diarrhea, from anything from bad food to a bacterial ingestion, you can dehydrate in less than 12 hours, to a serious, near fatal condition. I have seen this in SnR training.Trapped in a building, power out, injured in an unexpected scenario, whatever, those a-d tabs can be a lifesaver.
Plus wouldn't it be better to be carrying some ibuprofen? Since generally the pain you have is probably going to be muscular
I wouldn't mind one, I've had diarrhea for the past two days. Feels bad man.
Greetings from Germany
Erwin
PS: I hope, my english is still good enough to be understood ;-)))
Every time I watch one of your videos it send me on a virtual shopping trip and research frenzy. Don't buy many things on Amazon now due to the exchange/shipping to Australia. I usually use nail clippers multiple times a day so much better than multitool scissors for me too. Thanks for another great video.
any chance there is a new update ? :) realy like these videos
Watching your channel has inspired me to change my life after beating cancer. Keep making such great videos and I'll keep improving my preps!
What if you need fresh breath?
You gonna be stinkin.
Mint candy my dude like Tik tak or mentos
I think I have finally found someone as obsessed with tiny objects as me! I have a gallon sized bag full of different tiny bottles I have collected from around the world (mainly Tokyo). You would have a field day in their store called Tokyo Hands. So much tiny stuff!
Not duct tape? It is very useful!! I make my own version and I just include one multitool that satisfied this necessity. I prefer include the led light and the whistle because if I lost my keychain? Thanks for the video! 👌🏼
the comprehensive nature of this tin is just outstanding.
Thanks T.U.P.!
"Do I not destroy my enemy if I make him my friend?"
Classic.
One of the best Altoids setup I've ever seen. The mini magnets are a great idea. No rattling tin!
Thanks for the video Cliff, but I really come here for Kid Prepper;s Lego analysis! ;) Although, I really do love those little slider tins.
FYI, I just checked the amazon price here in Canada for those tins: $46 DOLLARS!!!!!! Wow, I guess I'll just have to muddle along with stuff rattling around in my EDC tin.
Try these...
www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/altoid-size-tin-can/
Tyler Davis i think he was talking about the mini tins. Not the altoids tin.
T.U.P. you are a modern day urban Rambo! Love the kits!
The addition of the SD card with the Wikipedia copy was a great idea. Knowledge is one of the best things you can have in any type of survival situation.
Why do I have nail clippers? Cause I'm not a freakin savage!
You have my vote for best comment. I was thinking the exact thing when watching the video.
IKR? Like they never got a hangnail. Which will tear easily, bleed like a mother, easily inflame and impair your manual dexterity. Goofballs. :D
You got picked for the best comment winner good job and love your comment
+503Blink 50 I had even forgot I entered till I saw his newest vid lol I was like whaaaaaaaat!
Congratulations! Can you please send me your mail address via PM or email? I’ll get it shipped out to you ASAP. ~Cliff
P.D: sorry about my english :)
@concepcion_bush
Juan, you did great!! You're doing good getting your survival stuff together. It takes years to learn what works and what you might need to replace with another type. You're doing really good. You're ahead of most people so keep it up!! Greetings from America!!
The sheer amount of thought that goes into Urban Prepper tins/videos can't be matched. Amazing job, thanks for sharing!
Thank you Jennifer! Yeah, they really do take a lot of planning. They seem to slowly adapt throughout the year, forcing me to re-evaluate the individual items.
Won't the magnets wipe the flash drive?
Greg Spradlin No. Flash memory does not operate with a magnetic drive like a traditional hard drive.
I think it's adorable how we can see Baby Prepper grow up through your pictures.
Heres another famous quote: Do or do not, there is no try. Thats my favorite starwars quote.
Great job, thank you for sharing :)
why help Apple users? it's there fault..
LMAO!!! Good point. :)
I care Hahaha you made me laugh xD
Their fault, not there fault
Very offended. We apple people like to pay twice as much for our phones and get half the features!
I used to be apple now I'm a LG guy
The thoughtfulness of how you approach prepping is inspirational! so much more useful than knife, knife, fire, fire, knife, knife
I love the idea of a Altoids EDC Kit, no one would ever think you would have emergency supplies.
I was inspired enough to make my own version of this as I watched. I then drove to the local gas station for a tin of Altoids. Great job.
That is so cool to hear, Mark!
Good job 👍
I made my own and have been carrying it in my EDC bag (my wife calls it my Man Purse) ever since. Every few months I restock it. Same beat up tin.
The micro containers and magnets are some of the best altoid tin ideas I've seen yet!
I just love TUP's way of thinking and discribing his solutions!
I have followed this kit's progression through the years and it's always interesting to see what new thing you have added.
Thank you so much for the kind words Evert! I really, REALLY appreciate it.
You're welcome, sir. I'm looking forward to your next video.
Some super ideas and I'll be working on improving and please keep putting out such super and informative videos
Mark
Awesome tip! I should start calling them mini wire cutters so I don't continue to get teased by the commando preppers of the world. :)
You have the most well thought out kits I've ever seen. I've borrowed so many of your ideas and used them to jumpstart my many of my own kits.
hands down the most detailed walk through of an Altoids EDC kit. wow, a little OCD but very good. i really must commend you on mentioning that this kit is made to YOUR liking and needs. it's a shame that the prepper community is sometimes so narrow minded about gear. yes, there are universal principles concerning gear and skills. and yes, some gear/skills are better than others at certain tasks. but a good deal of it should reflect your environment and personal taste or abilities. example: my mother, a prepper, is 64 years old. she has many limitations on what she can do or even use. so we have adapted the basic principles of prepping to fit her abilities and needs. does she have an equal chance of survival as a 22 year old healthy man . . . sadly no. but with the right training and gear that she is familiar with and capable of using she will have a much greater chance of surviving. also, not all of prepping is for SHTF end of the world scenarios . it is also for localized emergencies like bad weather, terrorist attack, or the local crazy disrupting your normal life in a multitude of ways. so kudos to you for thinking outside the "box" because that is where real life happens.
I watch your vidios because you go the extra mile and then some in your testing of equipment and planning. It chalnges me to be beter. Thank you
That is so cool.
This grandma has been sharing your info to her college student and paramedic son….thank you for the updates….
