The second half of this video features alternate items that I thought were interesting, but did not choose to include in the build, so feel free to scan through content that does not interest you. PLEASE share your thoughts on this build and include your ideas for improving it. Try not to suggest the usual players like Knipex, Victorinox, Leatherman, SOG, etc. In your comment keep cost, size and weight in mind. Everything needs to fit into that little black pouch. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes :-) As is our tradition, there is a free PDF that gives you links to all of the items that appear in this video (including the 3D STL file for the printing your own Pocket Rack™). That PDF can be downloaded from here - bit.ly/BudgetEDC I've been sourcing EDC materials from TEMU for my videos for over a year now, but this is the first time I've worked with them as a sponsor. TEMU gave me free reign over the content of this video as well as the selection of tools that are featured in it. If they had not sponsored it, I probably would have made this same video.
@Brent.Struber - Thanks for taking the time to post. I sincerely appreciate your feedback on this topic. I'm in the unusual position of having pulled many ticks from my body and from dogs and friends over the years. I've also had Lyme disease, and take tick infections very seriously. With that in mind, there are many ways to remove ticks. Here is what the CDC says on removing ticks. For me, using a forked tick remover/extractor accomplishes the same results as using tweezers. www.cdc.gov/ticks/removing_a_tick.html . In regard to superglue for cuts, here is a good article from the Mayo clinic on this topic.. www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org/hometown-health/speaking-of-health/should-super-glue-be-in-your-first-aid-kit In the video I'm expressing my opinion based on how I might use these items. I would highly encourage everyone to make their own medical decisions based on their experience and research. Many thanks for bringing this up.
Thanks for contributing to an Open Source community as well as the Pocket Rack design! Made my first one and loving it. Looking forward to contributing with my own hacks.
@SonnyStormes - Many thanks for taking the time to post and for being a subscriber. This channel is built on feedback and contribution from our viewers. The Pocket Rack project in particular has evolved because of that. Thank you for contributing to that project. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
@alanlee2751 - Thanks for posting. This was a fun build to pull together. I was particularly pleased with the way that the 4" locking pliers turned out. I think I'm going to do a video on how to make them and what they are capable of. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts on this video.
@Llamadosalvaje - Thank you! I sincerely appreciate the feedback. It will be 1 year on March 6th since the first Pocket Rack Video was posted. I'm blown away by how the EDC community has adopted it and customized it to fit their needs. It's been an exciting ride :-)
@unitedstatesirie7431 - Thanks for your feedback. It's a nice little tool kit to have on your person. It fits just about anywhere, so you can have quick access to a set of tools anytime you need them. Be sure to check-out this video as well: th-cam.com/video/uiX9I7hPnvk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wcMxTyGtoQSiWzYO It has a different set of tools, but it gives you some other options as well. Enjoy!
You're right, this was a long video and I wanted to wait to watch it without being interrupted, and before I knew it, it was over. That was the faster hour long youtube video I've ever watched. Really well done and great info, and thank you very much for taking the time to include the links. I REALLY appreciate that. The only thing I can see adding that might be of help is a Fresnel Lens in its pouch. I'm pretty sure it would lay flat and held in place by other items under tension on top of it or maybe slide into your med kit. Something I always have on me especially in the warmer months, is Orajel with 20% benzocaine. That stuff works great for bee stings, bug bites, blisters, cuts. I'd try to fit that in that pouch somewhere. I like the mechanic wire, but I'd have more use for 30 feet of 300 pound test Dacron braided fishing line. That's getting thick enough to where you can handle it, and it's not like a thread, and it's very strong as well, and cheap so you don't mind cutting it and actually using it unlike Kevlar and higher priced cordage. You should put together some videos, but this time build it for hiking in mind, and maybe another for a survival kit. I think this would be so much better than those little tin kits, and like you said, it's on your belt and always with you and that's the big difference here in kits. I'm really impressed with your idea here, and how you put it all together, and I'd love to see what you come up with taking this platform in different directions. Keep up the great work. I forgot to ask, at the 38:04 mark, you have a bit driver with a folding knife, but I can't find it with the other links. Maybe I'm pulling a Ray Charles here, but I don't see it. Could you please show me where you picked that up? Thanks.
@wjf213 - You have some great suggestions in this post. I actually keep a Fresnel card on the back of my iPhone for those occasions where my reading glasses may not be handy. I'm working on a video for what I'm calling a "Body Maintenance Kit" (BMK) it overlaps with being a booboo kit as well. I'm building it on a pocket rack and some of your ideas would make good additions to that kit. Here is the link to the little bit driver with the knife. I was not a big fan of this item. the bits are proprietary and held in pace with a weak magnet. DONT put it on a keychain. The bits will fall off. It would hold up inside of a tin, but the tins that I suggested in the video are not deep enough, bu their length and width would have been ideal for that purpose. You just need to find something a bit deeper. See: bit.ly/3IkeZAk . Thank you again for sharing your ideas.
I just wanted to say that I find your Rack system very interesting and a good idea. It gives me a vibe of something like a heavily scaled down "ALICE" pack frame and system the US Military used from the 70s up till the mid 2000s before it was fully replaced. Also very much like the bobsleds pulled by dogs and how gear was lashed to the sleds for transport. I think its a good design allowing you to quickly find and retrieve items and gives a good minimalized option over the Pocket backpacks.. I mean organizers that are so prevalent in the EDC community these days. I thing the only thing I would add to the Pocket Rack design itself would be a hole on one of the corners for a lanyard to be attached. We do seem to like braiding Cordage be it leather or Paracord. As for the TEMU gear, you had some nice options and selections picked out. I look at it the same way I look at everything and that is just practicality and utilitarian. I reminded of the Russian Cosmonaut from the Movie Armageddon saying "Russian parts, American parts, all made in Taiwan". Unless you pay a heavy price for "American Made", chances are its from China anyways and TEMU, Aliexpress, and even eBay as well as other sights like that are just buying from the source rather than paying a markup from a Middleman. As for me, I used to be in IT even though I started college for Forestry and Wildlife Management I switched cause I already knew of the limited positions in the field because I knew most of the guys in my area in the field. Being in IT I carried my Manpurse or Murce with tons of gear so including my EDC stuff was just a matter of attaching a separate pouch to the MOLLE pack I carried. I called myself the "High Tech Redneck". However these days I've been added to the ranks or the disabled due to a chronic illness so I do not carry as much as I once did. Primarily I carry a pocket knife or two or six.. depending on what I'm doing, a lighter, a AAA flashlight, a small medicine keychain fob thing, a "pew pew" device, and then the standard watch, keys, wallet and phone. Now if I only had a 3D printer lol. I guess I could build one..
I just went and looked at the PDF list you made and wanted to compliment you on how well you did making it. Also, I believe the reason a lot of people are against the telescoping keychain pen is that they were easy to lose because the cap didn't secure to the pen all that well and would get knocked loose in your pocket when carrying your keys and then get lost. The TrueUtility brand I think was the ones both I and my mother'n'law lost. If you have it stored in a container or something like that it would probably be fine but in something else is not the intended design.
@korgan7779 - Thanks for taking the time to post. The telescoping pen in the video has a screw cap with a keyring hole in it. I can see a problem with it possibly unscrewing if you were to just let it hang, but I don't use it that way. I might not run into the same issue that you experienced with that pen since it's securely attached to a Pocket Rack. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thought on the pen..
@korgan7779 - Wow! Many thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. One of the most surprising things I found when I made this video was putting together the downloadable PDF (Link in the video description). It illustrates what you are saying pretty clearly. Many of the items I selected are also offered on Amazon as well but at higher prices, plus if you want free shipping you need to also pay for Prime. It's probably the same stuff on eBay and Walmart as well. Many thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
@albertobarbosa5960 - I'm sure you are correct, but it does have a very similar design to those that are sold for that purpose (see: bit.ly/3wgzjjm ). As you mentioned it can probably be used for trimming cuticles as well as removing ticks . Thanks for the clarification.
If you manage to take loose the cartridge on the pen, consider to cut the top of in the other end. Then you can use it as a foldable straw for drinking and you can also use it as a straw to blow thru, to add air if you are starting a fire. And excuse my semi bad english, Im from Sweden. 😄
@samuelgustavsson1483 - Thank you for posting. It might work for blowing air, but I would be very hesitant to drink from it since I have no idea what was used to make it. - Your English is much better than my Swedish :-)
@DracoWolfsbane - Thank you for your post. I found out after posting the video that the crowbar with the ratcheting component that I featured was a knockoff version. I asked TEMU to pull down their listing and deleted the links that I had to it on the video and in the PDF. I'm planning on reaching out to the company that made the original to see if they would be interested in me including one in a future video. Thanks for your feedback.
Sorry I just started watching this video so forgive me if it gets down there and you say that they’re available but can I buy one of these racks yet? I just watched another video where you cut something out of the center which seem like it made it better. Looks really great.😊
@StarDarkAshes - Thanks for asking. So sorry, but I don't see me selling these for a while. Selling stuff online takes time and right now, I'm enjoying making these videos and building out new kits for them. So glad that you are enjoying the videos.
@stevenhodgson834 - Thanks for posting and for being a subscriber. When I picked the tools I was really careful to make sure that they would fit onto the pocket rack. I'm finding that these racks are much more efficient at EDC organizing if you pick the right tools for it. This allows me to get more into the pouch and still gives me quick access to all of the tools. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on this.
really nice vid! def gonna add a few of these items to my cart. i do want to say though, the intended use on that nail clipper tool is not a tick remover. it is a cuticle trimmer for your nails! which makes that a nice all in one travel manicure tool.
@blakeash7409 - Thanks for taking the time to post. You ae entirely correct, but it can also be used as a tic remover if you are so inclined. I was actually rather impressed with the quality of that little pocket knife and the tool set on it. For the price, it's has a nice selection of tools to choose from.
I'm not particularly fond of the little beasts. I contracted Lyme disease from a tick bite many years ago. Its an experience I don't want others to share. Take care..
Hey just a quick idea but maybe you can fit some magnetic tape at the bottom of that mini sliding tray tins to better help hold the bits in place so they dont lean to one side and maybe open the lid Also might i suggest carrying a cut off length of a hot guns gluestick in conjunction wirh the lighter. Its like the superglue but can be used in a wider variety of cases
@anthonycampos7417 - thanks for the idea regarding the magnetic tape. Those tins are pretty tight. I use a small piece felt in them to keep the bits from rattling around and it's been pretty effective. In regard to the hot gun glue stick, I just grabbed one after reading your post. I just need to figure out where to store it on the rack and what size I can cut it down to. Many thanks for the suggestions..
If you wanted to minimize further you can use the pliers as a quarter inch bit holder instead of thr ratchet. Works pretty well especially if you do the slot mod for t shank blades
@karmaraver - I thought about that as an option. I might go that way, but want to see how the well the clamping pliers work out. I find myself crawling around under sinks and in tight places with these tools. I'm wondering about the weight of the pliers and their size as a bit driver, plus I want that ratcheting ability and there are options to add that to the pliers. Many thanks for brining this up. It's a path I want to explore a bit more..
@bryanyee7 - Thank you for your post - YES! there is a solution for you. First go to: www.thingiverse.com/search?q=pocket+rack+EDC&page=1 and download the file that you want to get printed. Then download this PDF bit.ly/EDC_Bands and follow the instructions for getting the file printed. Many thanks for asking.
The mechanism on the scissors of that little multitool is really similar to what you find with Leatherman tools. I think that's where they got that idea from.
@Snowili - Thank you for your post. I've seen that type of spring design on quite a few scissors lately. Not sure where it originated. Thanks for pointing that out.
Just stumbled upon you and I like your videos.I like the way you talk on the video and you're giving us some good information. So you just got a new subscriber
@kevinhauser8250 - Thank you for being a subscriber and for posting. I sincerely appreciate your feedback and look forward from hearing from you in the future.
I would exchange the superglue for a pce of hot glue stick, with a lighter works a treat. Knipex pliers lock too if you set the gap right before gripping, they will hold solid you can even stand on the lead arm, there are many demo’s on TH-cam.
@MrDkgio - Thanks for taking the time to post and for being a subscriber. That's a good idea. I'll drop one of two pieces of hot glue stick into the aluminum storage tube. the idea for going with the locking pliers was that they are a considerably less expensive alternative to the Knipex. I have a set of the Cobra xs and they are great, but I'm also interested in finding out what else is might be available that offers similar functionality (or maybe more) for less $. Thanks again for posting.
@@EarthlingEDC I think your innovation and videos are great, I know you suggested not mentioning Knipex due to this being a budget version, but it appeared that you were implying that Knipex do not lock (on to whatever is being gripped) and that you had to grip both arms together, I wasn’t suggesting their inclusion on this budget setup. 👍
The light has 4 different powers. If you keep the bottom press from off it will give you a strong light. You should not use it for a long time because it can burn the led and dry the battery, and the torch gets hot. It's just for kind of self defense. If in a dark environment you use it towards someone you can blind and confuse him/her.
Very interesting video. What’s unfortunate with Temu is that some items get discontinued pretty quickly and become impossible to find a few weeks after they first become available for purchase.
@stephaniemerchak2133 - Thank you for your post. I've noticed the same thing. When that happens I fall back on other sources. Just knowing that an item was once available on TEMU and is no longer in stock, still means that it exists and I can probably find it elsewhere.
@unfi6798 - Many thanks for stopping by and subscribing. I saw his video @LandmanEDC and really appreciate his plug for the Pocket Rack and the Earthling EDC channel . Welcome aboard :-)
Just food for thought but the flashlight you picked has a even better alternative in my opinion they sell the exact same light but it has a much bigger magnet on the bottom but more importantly a clip thats part of the mold so you can clip to your hat and use it hands free its the same price also.
@anthonyanderson5310 - Thank you for your post. The build quality on both of these varies wildly depending on the manufacturer. I've reviewed both of them in a previous video see: th-cam.com/video/WqWrcOwQ-Lk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KyNiQEcNnGA7NimZ . The one I selected originally had a brass heat sink behind the reflector which could potentially lengthen the longevity of the light. The one you describe had no heat sink. However, both models are being made by several different companies and I'm not sure if that is the case anymore. Thanks for your info
I recommend you get a combat engineering wire, which looks like a compact floss case but it's stronger and gives you a couple of meters. It would complement your metal cilinder with the magnets too.
@andreferreira7458 - Thank you for the suggestion. When searching for "combat engineering wire" All I could find was razor wire. I'm assuming it would be a type of fine stainless steel wire such as these examples bit.ly/3uLv8M0 . Do you have a link where I could see what you have in mind? Thanks for taking the time to post.
The back of the watch is actually plastic and sealed shut. I'm not even sure it was capable of being repaired. It had a good run and served me well. :-) Thanks for your post.
As i go through life i learn more and more that cheaper is not better and is worthless. a cheap screwdriver will fall apart. A cheap airbrush will not paint great, etc, etc. there are some places where you can cut cost, and some where you cant. but with tools you cant. nothing beats my professional holex scisorrs. they are expensive AF but i always have them at hand at home, and at EDC victorinox ones are the best in therms of formfactors vs quality. i got some cheap tools and they do their job, but they fail when i need them the most, so not an edc but as a backup or in my toolkit.
@sageata_verde - Thank you for your post. I think that many viewers of this channel would agree with you including myself. But I'm going to also add that there are exceptions and that's what I tried to find for this video. I ordered a lot of items for this video and then whittled them down to what you see in the video. I'm particularly please with the way the locking plyers are performing when compared to the Knipex Cobra xs. They have more weight, but they lock onto items which saves my hands. They need more use, but I like what I see so far. Thanks again for taking the time to post
The mini pry bar bit holder thingy with the spring bar, isn't made that way to hold the bit solid. It's actually a ratchet. Depending on which side you shove the bit in, it has a different direct it ratchets.
@randyyeager - Thanks for posting. Right after that video was published a viewer pointed out that the prybar was a bad knockoff of a U.S. made prybar that works as you have described. The one I showed does not have the ratcheting capability, because it's a very bad copy. After the viewer informed me of the situation. I reached out to TEMU and they removed the item, but other sellers appear to still be selling it on TEMU.
These Pocket Racks™ come in different versions and are an open source 3D print design that you can download for free. Anyone can print one or customize the design to fit their needs. The only major restriction is that you can't sell them. There is a utility patent pending. To make one for yourself, go to: www.thingiverse.com/search?q=Pocket+Rack+EDC&page=1 and download any of the six versions that you would like to print. You can then go to a website like printathing.com, or a local 3D printing service in your area and have them make one or more of them for you from PLA (its a plastic). This PDF has more details on sourcing the elastics that are used with them. See: bit.ly/MicroEDCOrg and this video shows how to make the elastics bands that are used on the Racks: th-cam.com/video/ir9DbaY8P8Y/w-d-xo.html Enjoy !
@@EarthlingEDC I actually don't have a 3D printer, but I'll make it by hand and I can share the piece with some friends. I won't pretend to invent it, of course. 😅
Thanks for the interesting video. I'm quite new to your channel - have you explained why you have an antipathy towards Amazon and yet are happy to use Temu? Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
@hoot7588 - Great question. To be clear this video is sponsored by TEMU, but I've been using them for almost a year now to purchase items for these videos. Prior to this video, I have received no compensation from them. The reason I started using them and still do is cost. If you look at the PDF in the description of this video you will see that Amazon and TEMU sell many of the same items. They just cost less on TEMU and I don't need to be a "Prime" member to get free shipping. This allows me to extend my production budget substantially to make these videos.

@comaSF Thank you for taking the time to post. Take a look at Earthling.com for info on the items that we will be offering. Thanks again for your feedback.
One reason that some of us choose not to use and support temu is because they sell knock-off items and steal IP. I will agree that some of the stuff we buy on Amazon and eBay were probably purchased on sites like temu and resold. I've also seen videos of these young "entrepreneurs" that will list an alibaba or temu knock-off item under the actual brand on Amazon. Apparently, there's a whole community built around doing that. On a specific note, the small prybar you posted is called the EverRatchet and was an Indigogo project back in 2018. That little spring inside the tool is actually to be used as a ratcheting mechanism. It's sad to see that listed on sites like temu where someone else is making money from it instead of the actual makers. Another quick note, be careful when plugging in non-manufacturer cables into your laptops / phones as some of those will upload malware. You can do a quick Google or Reddit search to see a lot of victims from stuff like that. Otherwise, excellent video. I love seeing how creative you guys can get when building out kits like this and the Pocket Rack is still one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.
@875fps - Many thanks for taking the time to post and for bringing up these points. Regarding the EverRatchet knock off. I just looked it up and the I prybar I showed in the video is definitely a knock off of that design. I've pulled the links for it from the description for this video as well as the downloadable PDF. I'll also reach out to my contact at TEMU and make them aware of this. Thank you for the heads up. In regard to the 3 way cable, I've been using it for several weeks now and have not had any issues or malware alerts from the devices it's been connected to. Thanks again for reaching out. If you see anything else, please don't hesitate to let me know.
@@EarthlingEDC Appreciate the quick response. Again, love what you're doing for the community and I love these kit layout videos. You've done a lot of research and trials to find good gear and it shows. I definitely picked up a lot of ideas.
@875fps - A quick follow-up for you regarding the EverRatchet Knock off. TEMU has completely removed the item from their offerings. Many thanks for bringing that information to me.
@jonpaul3868 - Thanks for posting - The designated pliers are definitely the way to go. I prefer having individual tools to using a multitool, but I have been known to enjoy my Leatherman wave. It just does not get as much use as the tools on my Pocket Rack. thanks for sharing that.
I came to the comments to say that too lol. I have a separate one which is great but I love the idea of having one on the go in a multi tool. I don’t actually use mine for cuticles but the skin around my nails.
@AverageZoeBlogs - Thanks for taking the time to post. I should probably be using it for that purpose, considering the torn up condition of my cuticles in these videos. I should probably have better looking hands when displaying EDC gear to so many people. I actually had a friend of mine in Hawaii call me after viewing several videos to tell me that I needed to work on my fingernails :-) Thanks for being a subscriber !
@earthlingEDC please don’t worry about your nails, they’re clean which is most important. I’m more focused on the great content. I’ve sent you an email with the Bic and Clipper mini lighters side by side.
Ok... Great video... And you are awesome for that pdf. Temu isnt somewhere i usually shop, but that may change now. Also some great ideas for things id find useful even if i do buy elsewhere
@psionandy - Thank you for posting and for being a subscriber. I'm so glad you liked the downloadable PDF. I found it to be a really interesting exercise putting it together. I try to include one with each video that has a more complex list of items. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this.
@user-namehereplz - Thanks for taking the time to post this. I think I can probably include that as a topic for a future video. Thanks for suggesting it.
the nail clipper pocket knife with the black scales is a copy/knock off of the Munkeez manicure kit lol i picked one up for 10 dollars a while back at a local sporting goods store long before temu/wish. works great still. wonder what the quality on the temu knock off is at such a low price....
@firearmssanctuary2448 - It's actually listed on Amazon under several different names. They all appear to be made in China. The one shown in the video is unbranded. I suspect the manufacturer just ads the name. I was actually really impressed with the build quality of it. We'll see how it hold up over time though. Thanks for posting.
@LonewolfEDC - Excellent question - I actually brought that up in this recent video th-cam.com/video/ROtkBqvPxic/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HbT8W0cyyqNqakKo . In a nutshell, save your $3.
@blacklisted4885 - Thanks for your post. I've found that the 4 inch Mole Grips (Locking Pliers ) featured in the video have been a surprisingly good, low cost substitute for a pair of Knipex Cobra XS pliers. Thanks again for sharing your ideas here.

@petercannova5026 - Thanks for taking the time to post. That's interesting. I found this explanation online - "In most cases, stainless steel varieties with iron in their composition are magnetic. If the alloy has an austenitic crystal structure, then it's not magnetic."
It's not a tick removal tool, it's a cuticle removal toolIt's not a tick removal tool, it's a cuticle removal tool. It trims your cuticles on your fingernails.
After seeing the quality of things bought from Temu I wouldn't trust them to bail me out of a jamb. Yes it's budget friendly, but you're swapping out quality and longevity of materials.
@toddjackson3136 - Thanks for your post. If you download the PDF that is in the description for this video, you will see that it includes a list of all the items that were shown. Almost all of them are available on Amazon as well, and I suspect many other websites such as eBay and Walmart. The big difference for me was the difference in what they were charging for the same merchandise. For this video I looked for highly rated items as a starting point, but as we have all experienced, the rating systems on these sites are not that great. I spend more time looking at common complaints in the negative feedback than the positive. I actually tested everything shown to see how it worked as well. I also rejected some items for not being of a good quality. As with all online purchases, do your research and take advantage of the return policy if you're not satisfied. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. They are sincerely appreciated and bring up very good points that everyone should be aware of when shopping online.
@keysersoze1537 - Thank you for your post. I don't print the Pocket Racks that appear in these videos. I have a friend who does industrial 3D printing and has been making the prototypes for me. The problem with me printing them is that the design keeps evolving. I've been working on this project for just over a year now and there are now 6 different version of it available on thingiverse. Most of those have been created by our viewers and are modified version of the original design. See: www.thingiverse.com/search?q=pocket+rack+edc&page=1 . I'm also seeing it starting to show up on other 3D printing sites as well. I'm assuming there are now iterations of the design that I'm not even aware of. This is all great news. It means the pocket rack design is evolving and getting better as each new design builds on the concept. Those rapid design changes and upgrades that are being introduced by the community are more inline with a print on demand model for those EDC enthusiasts who are interested in purchasing a pocket rack. There are many services online that will do this for you. You just need to download the STL file for the pocket rack design that you want from Thingiverse then upload it to a 3Dprinting service such as printathing.com/order/ it's a very easy process to then place your order.
@@EarthlingEDC I appreciate the information truly, to me it seems just genius and it’s as slim as it can be as I’ve tried so many different pouches and they are as they come so there’s no real comfortable way to organize my little things all while maintaining a slim profile , I’m going to check them out and definitely picking up one or a few because I can already see my son wanting one and my daughter 🤣 for my edc I try my best to keep things small and light as possible most things I’ve slowly up grade to titanium just to cut on weight but you know how it goes we always try to make things better!. Again thank you!!!
@keysersoze1537 - I'm so glad that this fits into your EDC as an organizer. Please be sure to checkout my video on EDC Elastics. Make sure that you have the right size is a big part keeping everything securely tied down on your racks. PLEASE share photos once you have your rack set-up and I'll post them to our community page. You can email them to earthling@newsphoto.com . Many thanks!
@AMERICANPRIDE1100 - Thank you for your question. You may have a 3D printing company near you that will print the 3D STL file for a small fee. There are also online services that will print one and ship it to you. See: bit.ly/MicroEDCOrg it has instructions for using one of these services. I hope this is helpful
@MrProctitus - Thank you for bringing this up and for being a subscriber. Most of the products I listed in my video are not exclusive to TEMU and are offered by by many major retailers including Amazon. I was approached by a viewer yesterday who pointed out a specific item from my video that had violated the IP rights of a U.S. based company. I've removed that item from the PDF data sheets and the video description. TEMU has also completely removed it from their database of offerings after I brought it to their attention. They appear to be open to these types of requests, so if you have information that you can share with me regarding specific items. I can bring it to the attention of TEMU. Thank you again for your feedback.
I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes :-)
As is our tradition, there is a free PDF that gives you links to all of the items that appear in this video (including the 3D STL file for the printing your own Pocket Rack™). That PDF can be downloaded from here - bit.ly/BudgetEDC
I've been sourcing EDC materials from TEMU for my videos for over a year now, but this is the first time I've worked with them as a sponsor.
In regard to superglue for cuts, here is a good article from the Mayo clinic on this topic.. www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org/hometown-health/speaking-of-health/should-super-glue-be-in-your-first-aid-kit
In the video I'm expressing my opinion based on how I might use these items.
Thanks for taking the time to pull this little kit together. Some interesting choices. 😎
@alanlee2751 - Thanks for posting. This was a fun build to pull together. I was particularly pleased with the way that the 4" locking pliers turned out. I think I'm going to do a video on how to make them and what they are capable of. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts on this video.
The pocket rack is an amazing idea! Congrats!
@Llamadosalvaje - Thank you! I sincerely appreciate the feedback. It will be 1 year on March 6th since the first Pocket Rack Video was posted. I'm blown away by how the EDC community has adopted it and customized it to fit their needs. It's been an exciting ride :-)
The tick remover is actually a cuticle trimmer, but yes, it can be used for ticks.
@jamesmagalee8505 - Thanks for taking the time to share that. I appreciate your feedback.
You are awesome for doing this.
@ChadSolberg - Thank you for your feedback. It is sincerely appreciated.
I like it. Your urban EDC product is what I need for my job. It will be a good compliment to my cargo pants. 🛠
@unitedstatesirie7431 - Thanks for your feedback. It's a nice little tool kit to have on your person. It fits just about anywhere, so you can have quick access to a set of tools anytime you need them. Be sure to check-out this video as well:
th-cam.com/video/uiX9I7hPnvk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wcMxTyGtoQSiWzYO
It has a different set of tools, but it gives you some other options as well.
Its not a tick remover but might function as such. Its for nail grooming likely for hang nail or ingrown nails
Looks awesome.
@ChadSolberg - Thanks for posting. It was a fun build and took me quite a while to find the right items to include.
The little tension bar within your scraper is actually to allow (the correct bit size) to ratchet, although only in one direction only I guess.
Great kit, amazing you got it all in the pouch!
@@EarthlingEDCawesome! ill have to toss one of mine in my camping bag for that purpose then, thanks for the tip
I'm not particularly fond of the little beasts. I contracted Lyme disease from a tick bite many years ago. Its an experience I don't want others to share. Take care..
Hey just a quick idea but maybe you can fit some magnetic tape at the bottom of that mini sliding tray tins to better help hold the bits in place so they dont lean to one side and maybe open the lid
Also might i suggest carrying a cut off length of a hot guns gluestick in conjunction wirh the lighter.
I love this concept, Im working on one without a 3d printer, using leather or plastic with a punch
@mvincent5621 - Thanks for taking the time to post. I'd love to see what you come up with when you finish it.
For those of us who don't have a 3D printer, is there a place where we can shop for and buy one of these pocket racks?
@MrDkgio - Thanks for the clarification. I might to a video just comparing the two. I think it would be an interesting topic. : )
The light has 4 different powers. If you keep the bottom press from off it will give you a strong light. You should not use it for a long time because it can burn the led and dry the battery, and the torch gets hot. It's just for kind of self defense. If in a dark environment you use it towards someone you can blind and confuse him/her.
@rubensintes1 - Thank you for the feedback on the flashlight.
G'day mate. Got send over to your channel by Landman EDC. Like your EDC kit. Congrats, got yourself a new sub from Australia.
@unfi6798 - Many thanks for stopping by and subscribing. I saw his video @LandmanEDC and really appreciate his plug for the Pocket Rack and the Earthling EDC channel . Welcome aboard :-)
The "tick remover" is for cleaning the cuticles of your fingernails.
@DefrostedNeanderthal - Thank you for your post. You are 100% correct, but it is quite similar in design and function to a tick remover as well.
Just food for thought but the flashlight you picked has a even better alternative in my opinion they sell the exact same light but it has a much bigger magnet on the bottom but more importantly a clip thats part of the mold so you can clip to your hat and use it hands free its the same price also.
And one version glows in the dark in case you drop it
@anthonyanderson5310 - Thank you for your post.
@@EarthlingEDChi, my previous reply got deleted probably for containing a link.
Search for Combat Engineer Dyneema Thread.
send your watch to a watchmaker who will repair the spring etc so you can keep enjoying it :D
@@EarthlingEDC I'm a white guy from Canada. Not that it really matters, I just don't want you to think I'm trying to fool you.
@randyyeager - I totally believe you :-) I'm just saying the bad knock-off version does not ratchet.
@@EarthlingEDC so it's crappy...got ya
Yup. Very crappy as well as using someone else intellectual property..
Can I take the design of the organizer?
I won't attribute it to myself, of course, great work
These Pocket Racks™ come in different versions and are an open source 3D print design that you can download for free.
@@EarthlingEDCfair enough, thanks for replying!

always telling americans to consider a clipper lighter over a bic, may be a bit of bias towards spain, but so many more uses and refillable

Yes they do a mini one, I have it in one of my kits. I’ve sent a side by side picture to you.
I agree that clippers are better. They have regular, mini, and extended, and jet/torch versions.

I think you should commercialise the whole kit
@@EarthlingEDC Wow. Kudos to them! That's a really ethical response from them. Thanks for taking the time to dig into that.
I got designated small lockpliers aswell, long nose that is😂 good luck with the multitool pliers. Only use designated one, not with multi tool😂
@jonpaul3868 - Thanks for posting - The designated pliers are definitely the way to go. I prefer having individual tools to using a multitool, but I have been known to enjoy my Leatherman wave. It just does not get as much use as the tools on my Pocket Rack. thanks for sharing that.
The tick remover you noted on the pocket knife is actually a cuticle trimmer.
@AverageZoeBlogs - I got it. Thank You again !!!
Love everything about your video. Can you do a seperate video on the laoa mini wrench? Please and thank you!
Awesome
@nishanthshetty3615 - Thank you for your feedback. It is sincerely appreciated.
Yea but how does the 3 dollar watch hold time ? That’s the real question which. I don’t think you mentioned
@LonewolfEDC - Excellent question - I actually brought that up in this recent video th-cam.com/video/ROtkBqvPxic/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HbT8W0cyyqNqakKo . In a nutshell, save your $3.
I keep mini mole grips. They're far more useful than any other pliers
@blacklisted4885 - Thanks for your post. I've found that the 4 inch Mole Grips (Locking Pliers ) featured in the video have been a surprisingly good, low cost substitute for a pair of Knipex Cobra XS pliers. Thanks again for sharing your ideas here.
Super Glue was made to seal wounds
@petercannova5026 - Thanks for your post. The difference appears to be surgical grade vs over the counter regular super glue.
Isnt that a threadripper and not a tick remover?
Thread cutter, cuticle trimmer, tick extractor. I’m fine with using it for any of those purposes . Thanks for posting!
Good.
Thank you for your post. Your feedback is sincerely appreciated.
I simply need the pocket racks don’t have access to a printer
Thank you for your post and for being a subscriber! These Pocket Racks™ come in different versions and are an open source 3D print design, so anyone can print one or customize the design. The only major restriction is that you can't sell them. There is a utility patent pending. To make one for yourself, go to: www.thingiverse.com/search?q=Pocket+Rack+EDC&page=1 and download any of the six versions that you would like to print. You can then go to a website like printathing.com, or a local 3D printing service in your area and have them make one or more of them for you. This PDF has more details on sourcing the elastics that are used with them. See: bit.ly/MicroEDCOrg and this video shows how to make the elastics bands that are used on the Racks: th-cam.com/video/ir9DbaY8P8Y/w-d-xo.html Enjoy !
I wanted to change a setting. But I couldn't! 'Cause you had two commercials that played before your video even started! You'r broken what.
@hetrogamr84 - Thank you for your post. I have no control over how the commercials are served by TH-cam. I'm sorry you had this experience. Here is how to let them know that you had a problem..

Thanks again for making me aware of this..
OH there are lots of different types of Stainless Steal -- some are Magnetic some NOT Magnetic
You are correct. But you can also use it to remove ticks.
That's right.
I’m pretty sure your Tick remover is actually a tool for your cuticles
@John-sq7uf - You are correct. You can also use it for removing ticks though. Two for one :-)
My last comment dont show up here so i try again...
Thx
@opotime - I can see this post, but no comment yet. Thanks for posting
Like 1 comment 1.
@gabrieldawa6221 - First post! :-)
I like your presentation but would never use TEMU.
I have no trust in their use of my data.
@myopinion262 - Thank you for your post.
Idc what anyone says, it's tee-mu not teh-mu. Fight me
@larshoneytoast722 - That's what I've been using over the past year as well. Then I saw those Super Bowl adds.. :-) Thanks for posting
Actually I don’t have a printer , wanna sell me a black one with red cord and that black shrink wrap ? I’m serious
@@EarthlingEDC already ordered the 3D print and the o rings the heat shrink and even the nylon cord to see which works better
Looking forward to seeing what you can do with it!
Soooo I don’t have a 3D printer…….
With temp prices someone is being exploited with ever purchase
With Amaz9n prices you are being exploited with every purchase, so it is what it is.
