I took cold showers only back when i was a poor student with no working water boiler. I felt warmer and full of energy after each shower. Never got sick on time back then. I saved money for electricity, wasn't wasting water and felt better :) Thank you for this reminder, Wim ;)

I'm taking cold showers for almost a year now. I used to take a cold shower after working out, because it was easier to endure the cold, when I was beaten up from exercising. For the past 2-3 months I haven't really worked out, but I still keep showering with cold. I always pick the coldest setting and stay under it for about 5 minutes straight. I can feel some minor changes. But not really man. I still get ill, I still get cold etc. I feel like only cold showers won't do much. It's about your whole lifestyle (eating, exercising, stretching etc.). I had the "perfect" (obviously not perfect but very good) lifestyle for the first 3/4 of this year and I've kinda lost it now in the most important time of the year => winter. I wanted to test the method etc., but since I haven't really exercised or stretched lately, I kinda can't.

I have tried so many different diets and lifestyles in my life, from all-red-meat diet to vegan lifestyle, then straight edge (no drugs or alcohol), or sugar free diet etc... But the only thing that really made the difference in my life is when I started taking cold showers. I mean, some changes in your lifestyle may take weeks or months until you notice a difference, but major changes occurred after only 3 days of cold showers. I got rid of my acne on my back, my shoulders and my arms, I sleep better, so I’m in a brighter mood etc... I strongly recommend cold showers to everybody!
And it’s not that hard. It was awful the first two days but you quickly get used to it and it’s sooooo worth it...

I saw Wim in the goop lab and got interested in his methods. I started with breathing sessions and 1 minute cold showers. After only a couple of weeks I ended up at showering cold all the time and I really love it. I am even looking forward the whole day for my cold evening shower. Sometimes I take a shower in the morning just for fun and to get strength for the day. This guy changed my life! Thank you Mr Iceman! 🥶😁

I didn't know about the hat until I read all the upset people. Maybe Wim doesn't even know what it is either. When I buy hats I buy anything because it's for my balding head and I like all different ones. (Most men are like this that I know)
But it's 2019 nearly, and people today focus on the negative before anything. In fact they thrive on being upset, offended or angry and even look for it...then they wonder why they're not getting anywhere positive.
Maybe one day people can stop looking for the bad in everything, stop looking at the past, stop letting air and particles offend you and start living and vibrating on higher level.
I did, I'm not American yet went around today donating to the homeless in the rain on thanksgiving, I wasn't interested in their hats, the depressing rain or anything.
(Nor do I have a family to spend it with)
I was interested in them, and how I can help. I'm donating all my change I've saved and spending time with them.
    Peace.

Ok I have been doing your method of breathing and then go into the cold pool for 20 minutes one or two times a day for one month and it is amazing.
My question is regarding warming up. Is it better to put on multiple layers of clothing and allow your body to warm up slowly or get into hot water and do it quickly? I have been doing it slowly thinking its best to allow the body to generate the heat. Thanks so much, this stuff is life changing!

Im not an expert by any means. But on the paid course (the first one) he encourages to do cold to warm to cold showers, he say that this train your veins and artheries to contract and expand. Similar to train your muscles with weights. So i believe either way would be good, but you will be training diferent things. If you can do cold to warm to cold many times you will feel amazing. Actually doing it this way is the only way i can enjoy cold. After the first cycle the cold starts to feel even better than the warm!. Hopes this makes some sense or can help in any way

The hot water feels like it's poison now, my skin dosnt activate it just absorbs. So all the chlorine and what ever other chemicals is in the water feels bad. When I take a cold bath, my skin oils activate, I feel more conexted to the body. Every thing feels smaller in the world and I feel more attuned to it like some kind of magnatjsm is happening making the world more connected and grounded. I can't always do it but I know I need to.
