      @jedicouncil66 check out the videos under the channel "Advanced Gerson Therapy" is run by Dr Vickers. I have a couple interviews on there with him and he does a great job breaking down the science behind it.
      Breathing techniques was simple. I would do a routine prior to cold water emersion (at least 2 mins) head and neck area minimal.
      I also believed in myself and would have meditation sessions focusing on mentally simulating my immune system. I would do this prior to sleep.

    Just listening to you is so relaxing, i was unable to work for 6 years cause i was crippled with Rheumatoid Arthritis then 3 years ago my friend told me about the techniques you use. First i started the breathing techniques then reluctantly started swimming in winter for 1hr across our river just very slowly whilst controlling my breathing, to my surprise i got use to the cold in minutes and feel great when i get out so now 3 years later in my late 40’s i now function and feel like a 20 year old. No more medications and best of all 98% of my RA symptoms have gone.

      MIRACLES OF THE QURAN
      Fourteen centuries ago, God sent down the Qur'an to mankind as a book of guidance. He called upon people to be guided to the truth by adhering to this book. From the day of its revelation to the day of judgement, this last divine book will remain the sole guide for humanity.
      The matchless style of the Qur'an and the superior wisdom in it are definite evidence that it is the word of God. In addition, the Qur'an has many miraculous attributes proving that it is a revelation from God. One of these attributes is the fact that a number of scientific truths that we have only been able to uncover by the technology of the 20th century were stated in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.
      However, the Qur'an is not a book of science, it is a book of Signs! Many scientific facts that are expressed in an extremely concise and profound manner in its verses have only been discovered with the technology of the 20th century. These facts could not have been known at the time of the Qur'an's revelation, and this is still more proof that the Qur'an is the word of God.
      In order to understand the scientific miracle of the Qur'an, we must first take a look at the level of science at the time when this holy book was revealed.
      In the 7th century, when the Qur'an was revealed, Arab society had many superstitious and groundless beliefs where scientific issues were concerned. Lacking the technology to examine the universe and nature, these early Arabs believed in legends inherited from past generations. They supposed, for example, that mountains supported the sky above. They believed that the earth was flat and that there were high mountains at its both ends. It was thought that these mountains were pillars that kept the vault of heaven high above.
      However all these superstitious beliefs of Arab society were eliminated with the Qur'an. In Sura Sad, verse 2, it was said: "God is He who raised up the heavens without any support..."(The Qur'an, 38:2). This verse invalidated the belief that the sky remains above because of the mountains. In many other subjects, important facts were revealed at a time when no one could have known them. The Qur'an, which was revealed at a time when people knew very little about astronomy, physics, or biology, contains key facts on a variety of subjects such as the creation of the universe, the creation of the human being, the structure of the atmosphere, and the delicate balances that make life on earth possible.
      Now, let us look at some of these scientific miracles revealed in the Qur'an together.

    Another benefit of cold exposure is it clears the breathing passages. I used to suffer from constant, severe nose congestion, especially in winter time. It was driving me crazy. There were times when I couldn't focus on my work, couldn't focus on my reading etc. Throughout this winter I was taking cold showers, and my breathing was free on a constant basis. In preparation for this morning’s 41 degree/5 min plunge, I watched this video n read these wonderful comments - I needed the motivation on this Monday morning. Here’s my story: I’ve been IF for five years, and have cold plunged every single pre CrossFit workout for nine months. I’m 59 this month and have never been stronger. I deadlifted 245 9 times in today’s workout - a PR. That’s actually a dramatic PR. Pre w/o cold plunge supposedly increases Testosterone - my experience is that I’m stronger, calmer, sleep better, and feel better than ever. Love you all. Keep it up.

    What I've learned the most about health is you must have brief moments of stress followed by long moments of recovery. The cold, for example, makes you stressed for a moment because your body suddenly must warm you up. But then, you recover, making you stronger and less stressed by the cold as a result. People misunderstand stress because they think it should be avoided at all costs, but a complete lack of stress weakens you further. Similarly, people should only do a little stress because their bodies won't find the time to recover.

    For everyone like me who only takes boiling hot showers, don't think you can't do this! I washed myself in warm water then I just slowly turned the hot water off, and there was only maybe 5 seconds where i felt really cold, but after that - I felt stimulated and somehow joyful and like I'd achieved something really great without much effort at all. I felt like i was a kid again, swimming in the ocean at the start of spring when the water is still cold. Will definitely be doing this again tomorrow

    I have a question. Ok…. Maybe a couple questions. Should I still take warm showers along with cold showers? I ask because taking warmer showers definitely opens pores and you get a better clean. But there are so many benefits to cold showers. Should I start warm and go cold? The last few days I’ve taken warm showers and wash myself, then switch it to cold for the last 2 to 3 minutes. Am I still gaining these benefits from this way?

    One thing I can say that was a nice surprise from doing cold exposure for over a year. My carpal tunnel is pretty much gone, sure occasionally ill feel a tightness, but I never feel pain or tightness in general anymore. Ive maybe felt it twice in a year with a pulling feeling in the fingers feeling very very slightly. Im sure people that have had carpal tunnel know what im talking about with that feeling. But its awesome, I think its the inflammation improvement from a daily ice bath. My ice bath is usually around -1c to -7c if you would like to know.

The benefits sound absolutely life changing.

    • @bogaming2457
      @bogaming2457 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can do everything, and do it as often as you want. All you gotta do is listen to your own body.
      You can do ice baths/cold showers as many times as you want to in a day.
      Go research on youtube, on these questions you got. Theres a lot of good info.
      Also with ice baths, staying in submerged: 2 minutes is enough for the benefits. But do it longer, just for the fun or the challenge of it. It depends on how familiar you are with it.
      Some people do 5-10 minutes. But i recommend starting in the 1-3 minute range.

    • @bogaming2457
      @bogaming2457 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also more than 5 minutes, is only for the well-trained induviduals, that have done it for some time.
      It can cause hypoxia if you're in for too long. (When you're not used to it)
      But do not worry about this, it can only be good for you - if you do it with caution, listening to your body, and starting slow.
      - Anton

      @greenkitty82 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bogaming2457 thanks Anton. That's really helpful information. I didn't want to start ice baths and try and sit there for 10 minutes when I haven't done it before. So 1-3 minutes to start and if I want can gradually work up to 5-10 minutes with more experience listening to my body.

I tried it for four months straight....the first month I did genuinely feel a whole lot better like stated in this video....but from month 2-4 I honestly started feeling worse then I did before I started. Lower mood, overall general body pain, I felt like I was burning all through the day and my skin was redder than usual. Basically everything the opposite of what it was meant to be doing. I stopped taking the ice baths about a month ago and now feel 'normal' again. I don't know if I had another illness during this time but the timing can not be coincidence

    Every day. Yes, I do ICE COLD exposure. Every. Single. Day. I made a built-in ice-cold shower machine 4 years ago and even made a portable one for travel this summer (videos of the build are on my channel). You can build one for yourself. Or even buy the portable one off craigs list if you're in the Carolinas. I've had a miraculous improvement in a chronic health condition. Can't promise the same for you, but if you can make it REALLY EASY to do, you can do cold exposure every day. I will admit, there are mornings where I don't want to do it. But like Wim says, you are in command of the animal part of your brain. Just do it.
