    - Don't take the method and techniques too lightly, they go deep and the effects can have a huge impact.
    - Don't do the breathing exercises in a swimming pool, before going underwater, beneath the shower or piloting any vehicle, without proper supervision. Always practice in a safe environment.
    - Keep in mind to do the exercises without forcing them, gradually build-up, and don't exceed your limits.

      You are the reason you are alive because you sought out, whether consciously or subconsciously, what you needed and it found you and you reminded yourself of the dream and obviously you made the decision to float with the dream instead of sinking into nightmare. Sometimes the dream can slip off into nightmare if we start to divorce ourselves from the 'good stuff', the sustenance(like the feeling we all get but can't put into words when you see your favorite band on stage live and you know they've got it or see someone who has mastered something and demonstrates their ability. The winking moment of 'Yes!', that understanding, and we instead start looking out for the dumb shit, the shit that don't mean nothing, that urge to rubberneck at a traffic collision trying to see the carnage.(That feeling we all get when we see a lame ass group on stage trying to fake it and the disgust we get at having our time wasted). When we fill our days with garbage we eventually find ourselves in a trash pile. The good stuff isn't corny and puts on no airs nor does it make a fool of or waste anyone's time. We just have to walk toward it and remember what Thich Nhat Hanh said, 'Peace Is Every Step'.......

    This breathing method completely changed my life. Thank you Wim Hof! I have covid and a few days ago had a lot of phlegm in my lungs. So much that every inhale made me cough up phlegm. I did 5 rounds of wim hof breathing and purged all the phlegm out of my lungs and my sinuses completely cleared up. I'm still having the occasional cough a bit of phlegm every once in a while, but this breathing method helped sooo much! Thank you Wim Hof. You're a lifesaver. Also, I've been doing Wim Hof breathing for a few years and it makes deep meditative states much easier to achieve. I recommend at least 3 to 5 rounds before meditation, but you can do more if you wish. The most rounds I've done back to back was 15 rounds, 40 breaths each round. This is so cool to see & brings so much joy to my heart! It's interesting Jordan's initial response was that he hated it. I felt such incredible bliss the first time I did Wim's breathing technique in 2015 I haven't stopped doing it. Now I can hold my breath for about 5 mins comfortably. Breathing techniques will give you a natural high without the negative consequences of using any external substances. Wim prob should have conveyed a few important tips first so Jordan & his daughter could get more out of their first time trying. For example: Do not pause between the inhale & exhale. Breathe from your stomach, not your chest. Relax your jaw & shoulders. It's more effective to breathe deeply through the nose rather than the mouth. If you're doing it correctly you will feel light, tingly, blissful, laugh or smile because of how awesome you feel. The ice baths are amazing too! It will change your relationship & perception of the cold from one of fear & the unknown to acceptance & delight.

I especially enjoy meditating afterwards as I feel as though I can self-reflect more productively. How nany times per day? How many rounds? What time of day do you do it? And do you do cold showers/baths? If so do you combine cold shower/bath with the breathing technique?

    • @andrewayres6554
      @andrewayres6554 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@prosperouseye When I first started, I did it once per day 30 mins before I went to bed (it helped me better process everything, and helped me fall asleep easier). Started at 60 seconds followed by meditation. As I felt I could go longer, I gradually increased every week by 15 or 30 seconds. It is important not to force yourself like Wim says, it should come naturally. The moment you feel you are forcing yourself, you are at risk of depriving your brain of adequate oxygen, so practicing conscious deep breathing and increasing the time gradually is crucial.
      As for cold showers, I am actually just beginning to implement this and am not sure any best practices yet. I can imagine utilizing the breathing technique in combination would be worth trying though.
