Terrible timing for Gio Reyna as he suffers an injury while at USMNT camp. How does this affect him at Dortmund? Cade Cowell takes his place. Deserved? #futbolamericas
How does he get injured and doesn’t even play ?? Man that boy is injury prone, I’m kind of starting to give up on him. He doesn’t play any minutes anywhere besides usmnt and now gets injured.
It seems strange that he plays for Chivas, Cowell has American nationality but his ancestry is Mexican So being Mexican-American it makes some sense that he plays for Chivas. 🤷
Reyna missed the last Septmber camp with an Injury when Berhalter was coming back. Pulisic went through a period where he missed a lot of time with the National team.
Muscle and soft tissue injuries over and over…..the player is not doing the conditioning. There is a pattern with Reyna, Adams, McKenny, Pulusic, etc.. This group is obviously not properly conditioned…..without the ball! In the gym and on the track!
I feel like Reyna is a prima dona. Parents were very good players. He has been over hyped and has underperformed. Seems to not have the work ethic that an underprivileged individual may have. If he is having these problems with his legs, then he needs to re-evaluate his workouts.
This generation of US players proved in the game against Panama where they had the lead thanks to Balagan that they don't have the mentality of being winners.
~~~ Dortmunds history of selling players at the highest price is coming back to bite them in the rear. They always favor their German players first. Even Pulisic was pushed aside by Reus and Gotze when he was there. I pray Gio ends up on the right team. Lucky he is still young. Speedy recovery to him.
Sorry; but I have to laugh at your panel all agreeing that Canada needs to win this match more than the U.S. Canadians see it completely the other way around. What is that based on, ancient history? Canada has been the best CONCACAF team since 2021/2022, when Canada dominated the Qualifiers, beat the U.S. & Mexico & were #1. The U.S. ended up tied with 4th place Costa Rica for points. Unfortunately Canada ended up in the 'Group of Death' in the 2022 World cup. The Gold cup should not count because, many of the best players do not participate. Mexico won it anyway im 2023. 2023, was an off kilter season for Canada, with the union issues vs soccer Canada & John Herdman leaving; but Canada still made it to the finals in the Nations League. . In 2024, Canada was clearly the best CONCACAF team in the most difficult Copa Americas tournament, making it to the semi-finals (and our B team almost beat Uruguay in that match). Meanwhile, neither the U.S. or Mexico made it out of the group stage & the U.S. was no doubt in the easiest group. I am not saying that Canada is a slam dunk to win; but they should be the favourites, based on the results over the past few years. No other major sport refers to history when assessing teams like soccer does. Hell, even FIFA rankings are based on history, otherwise, how do explain Mexico's high ranking? Yes, the U.S. will have homefield advantage; but they always do. The U.S. gets the huge homefield advantage around 95% of their games & Canada under 15%; but Canada is getting used to it. The pressure is much more on the U.S. to win. If they lose, it will further strengthen the case for Canada being the new Kings of CONCACAF, especially after that disasterous Copa for the U.S. & Mexico.. Canada has all of the monentum going into this game; but if they lose a close one, on the road, it will not take away from their tremendous Copa Americas performance. It would simply be a learning experience. Both teams have a few injuries to very good starting players, so the depth will be important.
I disagree with you Also can stop overrating and overhyping Canada already Group of death ? Yeah nice excuse after all the talk about being first in qualifiers and what not Canada hasn’t proved anything yet so the pressure is still there otherwise stop talking and start doing already
Dam a Chivas player officially playing for the USMNT 😅
It's time to admit it. So many of the US players are overrated. Forget the hype, it's time to be realistic.
Many are letting pride and the players “Potential” get in the way of admitting it. Many of them same players are at or near their mid 20s already too.
Giovanni Reyna and Tyler Adams this two players are always injured, they’re weak.
Typical soccer players… never hit the gym.
