I never think it’s a good idea to fire a coach in the middle of the season. Nobody’s gonna come in and change that drastically that fast. We don’t Need Kiffin that’s for sure he’s an arrogant SOB and that doesn’t win ball games. At the end of the day, gator fans need to realize this season is doomed, time to move on, prepare for the future.
I won’t be shocked if kiffen leaves although I don’t think he will. Ole miss is the better job at this point given the new system with the 12 team playoff. Less pressure with just as good a chance to make the playoff.
Urban is so retired, bro has left the chat....Coach O is available haha! He was a successful interim at USC. He knows how to coach DL and linebackers. Of course HC of LSU's 2019 Natty team. He's honestly the best option to bring in for 3 months if they fire Napier mid-way through this season, and he made enough money off LSU he won't mind coming in for a limited time only. But maybe even keep Oregon on the defensive staff under a new HC, if he's behaving...
I can't think of anything, coach related, worse than any football program hiring Meyer. The guys poison. Yes he wins, but at a terrible cost to the school.
Florida would have won that game if Mullen was coaching, that man was an offense genius. The defense was his problem. No one in the NFL was talking about hiring Mullen. Maybe he was offered a job by Urban Meyer. He didn't get the Job so that means nothing. Lane Kiffen is not the answer.
I want Charlie Strong...We had an Elite Defense with him....He did great in Louisville....I think Texas was too big of a job for him and USF isn't pulling the talent he normally got.
Who are they going to get? They have these two coaches because that's all they could get. What top-tier worth his salt would choose those two dumpster fire programs? Each of them would have to massively overpay just to get interest in the job.
lol this guy who such a Mullen fanboy had no clue what was going on at FL. Mullen would never win a championship by not starting the best players, not recruiting the next generation, and not firing his buddies. It’s that simple.
The most telling moment for me was after the halftime whistle. The teams were jogging off the field while a public service announcement featuring Coach Napier was played on video boards. The fans booed louder for that than they did for the targeting call. The situation is lost. He can not succeed at this job.
College has changed players are getting paid college football will never be the same also coaches don’t have any power anymore and stop making excuses everyone can’t be good
A school that has not won a sec conference championship in 10 years. Much less a national championship. Is the epicenter of college football? Matt berry are you serious?
He’s clearly doesn’t follow Florida and is uninformed. Not sure why you speak on something without knowing the specifics. Mullen was uninterested in the job towards the end. Florida is a high pressure job. Lane would come to UF in a heartbeat. It’s his dream job and I don’t think Lane is afraid of pressure. Kiffin wants a Natty.
Not defending Napier, but this take on Mullen is way off. Mullen played favorites, didn’t address or change his assistants when needed, quit on the team and totally lost the locker room. His recruiting rankings weren’t terrible, but half of his classes never set foot on campus. Mullen is a great game day coach and strategist. He’s not a program leader or elite recruiter.

Being an LSU fan, I think that a great idea for the Gators. Get a proven failure! LOL !
Coach O is available and he coached greatest college team ever.
I like billy who playing the game the players ok
Tell paul to call Edward James Orgeron Jr for the Gators
Fire Stricklin and Billy....
Bring in the old natty winning coach....Pete Carroll
I never think it’s a good idea to fire a coach in the middle of the season. Nobody’s gonna come in and change that drastically that fast. We don’t Need Kiffin that’s for sure he’s an arrogant SOB and that doesn’t win ball games. At the end of the day, gator fans need to realize this season is doomed, time to move on, prepare for the future.
Kliff Kingsbury to Florida , that’s the move ,
keep Lagway and become a QB power house!
I won’t be shocked if kiffen leaves although I don’t think he will. Ole miss is the better job at this point given the new system with the 12 team playoff. Less pressure with just as good a chance to make the playoff.
LOL. Then call Steve Spurrier.....
Mullen checked out! He wanted to go be in the NFL.
I can't think of anything, coach related, worse than any football program hiring Meyer. The guys poison. Yes he wins, but at a terrible cost to the school.
I wish ESPN would spend half as much time covering the MAC.
Who is Mac? Good guy? 😂 NOBODY is watching the MAC bro.
Myer should come back Saban gone he doesn’t have to worry anymore
All these articles make the assumption that Urban Meyer is even interested
Urban Meyer doesn't have a Tim Tebow to help him win at florida, no better off than we are now.
He would have the #1 high school QB in the country last year in Lagway.
Urban should have been CANCELED from EVERYTHING after the nfl
Florida would have won that game if Mullen was coaching, that man was an offense genius. The defense was his problem. No one in the NFL was talking about hiring Mullen. Maybe he was offered a job by Urban Meyer. He didn't get the Job so that means nothing. Lane Kiffen is not the answer.
Billy Napier forever
GO DAWGS
I want Charlie Strong...We had an Elite Defense with him....He did great in Louisville....I think Texas was too big of a job for him and USF isn't pulling the talent he normally got.
As a Florida fan who has followed Charlie Strong and seen him in those 3 places, I could see him being a great fit for the program.
Lane is a narcissist we don’t want him
Florida and Florida St both need new coaches
FSU can’t payout Norvell’s contract
@@GoatedAtNFS they could figure something out
Who are they going to get? They have these two coaches because that's all they could get. What top-tier worth his salt would choose those two dumpster fire programs? Each of them would have to massively overpay just to get interest in the job.
@@timkinley1779 I'd do a better job than either of them but they could get somebody to at least get them to bowl games
Norvell would be owed $65 million. They just signed him to an extension. Good luck with that.
That’s called a consultant
lol this guy who such a Mullen fanboy had no clue what was going on at FL. Mullen would never win a championship by not starting the best players, not recruiting the next generation, and not firing his buddies. It’s that simple.
Kevin Steele
Florida have to move on, but Urban is a fkn dinosaur, his reputation is shot, modern kids have no time for that kinda character.
Running out? No time ran out on Saturday. It’s over.
The most telling moment for me was after the halftime whistle. The teams were jogging off the field while a public service announcement featuring Coach Napier was played on video boards. The fans booed louder for that than they did for the targeting call.
The situation is lost. He can not succeed at this job.
Plenty of High School coaches available,Good Luck finding one who will put up with grown men who act like 8th graders.
Used to be Programs got busted when boosters gave $$$ to the schools for players. Now it's schools giving $$$ to boosters for players.
College has changed players are getting paid college football will never be the same also coaches don’t have any power anymore and stop making excuses everyone can’t be good
What about jimbo?
Oh yeah, Florida please bring ole Jumbo, would love to see you sink further
They should hire Mario Cristobal from Miami.
A new head coach wont do much difference, the team as a whole isnt very good. A clean slate is needed
