I'm a new sub to your channel! I was curious as to how the water levels in the Peace river are currently. I'll be heading to Florida mid February, and I'm hoping to do some shark tooth hunting :) Thank you!
Right now, they are about 5 feet higher than normal. I've been trying to get out and film some, but the river isn't cooperating. If we get a week or 2 without rain, it should drain to huntable levels, though.
@@TerraSharkTV Aww bummer! I was able to search a few years back, found a lot of cool teeth! The last time I visited, it was super deep. I appreciate the response!
@EmilySuzanne comment again a few days before you get here, and I can let you know what the water level is. Like I said it can drop fast if we dont get rain.
@@TerraSharkTV Great! Thank you! Two of the three times I've traveled there, the water was only ankle deep, and I found so many teeth, I've got two videos of my visits there. It's a fun, and exciting hobby :) I'll be in touch!
Hello, I'm currently in Florida and thinking about heading to the peace river today. Are you aware if it's a good level for shark tooth hunting? I know Florida got some rain last week! Thanks!
How deep up the river do you have to go?
It's not very deep right now. Maybe knee to waist deep in most areas. And there are a few areas you can get to right from the boat ramps just by walking in and searching for gravel. I just posted a new video from our trip Saturday so you can see how things are currently.
Im going with my dad soon, what do you think the water level will be in mid march?
Right now, it is at 3ft at the hwy 70 station. If rain holds off, hopefully, it keeps going down.

Do you have to have a permit for that? I’m from TN and a couple of us have hunted for teeth in Manisota key. Curious about coming inland somewhere.
Yes, permits are only $5. But you need to send in ahead of time. They take a while to arrive. If you're just after sharks teeth, you do not need a permit, though.
