- On this adventure, my buddies Kyle and Derek joined me on the river to hunt for Pleistocene aged vertebrate fossils. We also found loads of cool fossils (including a KILLER jaguar canine!), swam in a beautiful freshwater spring, saw some wildlife and had a great, great day outside, enjoying the great outdoors.

🐆🐆🐆jaguar tooth
That jaguar tooth is amazing, and beautiful coloration too. I enjoyed the entire video. All of the fossils were cool, and I especially liked the turtle leg bone, ivory, manatee teeth, and the famous Florida Keys! Nice work, very entertaining video for us fossil geeks.
That jaguar tooth is nice, now you just need to find the skull that it goes with...
Hi there!
Can you please do a video when you show all of your cool finds
He does. EVERYONE HE POSTS
Something that would be cool is to show us how big these armadillos are at the end of the video, or give us some perspective to how they look today compared to back then
They were literally the size of a small car (VW bug) it was called a Glyptondon...
Did you remember the bowl creatures in Dreamwork's Ice Age? those.
Definitely explore this place more. So many amazing finds just on the surface
Because there was a flood and all the dead animal bodies Congregated together in one place
Nice! That jaguar tooth was awesome! Since I subscribed this morning I've been binge watching. You're amazing and Kyle is nuts!
BEST OF LUCK FOR BEING SPOTTED & THIS WEEK CREATER ON RISE ON TH-cam .
Awesome Hunt guys. That Jag tooth is incredible. I am amazed at the knowledge you guys have on all the different species. Great Job promoting the paleo world. Thx for sharing
Absolutely love your adventures. It reminded me of finding fossil oyster shells the size of footballs in South Texas as a kid. You guys plus the river treasure group are becoming my favorite TH-cam stars.
Love, love, love to watch you guys having fun ! Doing all the things the rest of us can only dream of. You and Kyle are so funny together. I love to watch both of your channels but when you get together, omg, sooooo gooood !
It might sound stupid but how do the teeth and stuff get there
Great video, Cris! Had to mention that I loved the feel-good music in the beginning. As always, underwater footage is gold!!
Wow, im learning that i need too go too florida and surrounding states! What a nice find Chris!!
A new video on my birthday? I am blessed today! Love your videos as always!
I hope you have a great birthday Lisa!
@@PaleoCris Thank you so much Cris! You and Kyle freaking out about things always fills me with joy so my day is already great. ;)
Wanted more footage from this spot, what you were finding was fantastic.
Really enjoy your little nature highlights at the beginning too, thank you for taking the time to film that.
Thank you! I’ll get out and record a much longer video from this location ASAP. Thanks for watching!
Nice find👍
This video is by far the best. It was so clear I thought I was in the water with you. Great finds please go back.
I was just going to ask if you ever find ivory or ivory teeth and next clip was the fossilized ivory. Very cool.
It’s absolutely amazing that you can identify so many different types of fossils that would just look like gravel and rocks to most us.
I love hearing them talk underwater
That jaguar tooth was insane! What a find! I always learn something from your videos and impressed myself today, when I identified the camel tooth before it was even picked up. Btw, what spring were you guys swimming in? I love the springs so much but tend to revisit the same ones. I usually swim instead of tube down the Rainbow and Itchetucknee Rivers. I would like to try one I have never been to. Weeki has been on my radar lately.
Have you found any fossils on the Itchetucknee? That's not far from me. I'd love to a chance to explore more rivers in N. Fl, S. Ga.
It is so gorgeous in those pools you guys are in. Pure clear water. One day would love to swim those
Love the video Cris! These diving videos are always fun to watch. Definitely going to need to go back to this spot. Thanks for bringing us all along!
Great vid as always it must be so fun to find fossils👍👍👍😀
I really enjoy watching all your fossil hunting videos! I get so excited when you find something really cool. You have the best hobby in my opinion!🤘
Hey Brittany you were my preschool teacher
The jaguar tooth is definitely an awesome find! Soooo many fossils there...I'd love to see more underwater discoveries! Have a great weekend, Cris!😊
Congratulations on the Tooth! Excellent find and video! Keep it up guys, you Rock !
Y’all need to check out that place again.
Wow! I love your underwater finds sooooo much! Not many people do this. When you found what you are calling ivory I would have passed it over - it looks like terra cotta to me - lol! Then.....you found 'camel'!!!!!!!!! Whoa! I mean it's possible but it shocked me. I kinda equate a camel to the good ole Egypt. Is the water you are diving in brackish, salt or fresh?
What an incredible find! Seeing that thing stuck in the clay like that must have been exhilarating, congratulations my friend well done!
Keep them coming Chris I keep watching this one was really excellent congratulations on the tooth
Wonderful! I hope you boys realize what beautiful lives you are living!
THAT IS AMAZING!!!!! Please please please do more river hunting
Awesome work 🐝safe dan🤿🐠
OMG fantastic finds. I find so many items I think are fossils but, am ignorant of fossils. I am learning slowly thanks to people like you guys. Keep up the good work.
Ms Michal 🙃☕💖🐚
They could probably make an entire giant armadillo with all those pieces 🤣🤣
Congrats on the Jaguar😊 What time period would that likey be from? Hearing bits of info from your personal knowledge always makes your vids even more interesting and exciting! Thanks for sharing x
Man, I would put that on a necklace!✌
So unbelievable! Congrats man you both deserve it !
What a beautiful river and spring.
where are they?
Wow. Nice find! My daughter and I went to the Peace River last week with Mark Renz. We had a blast and found bunches of smallish shark teeth, gator teeth, etc. We already want to go again. We picked up a fair amount of littler around the river. leave it better than you find it, right?
Mark is a great guy! Thanks for helping to clean up some litter and glad you two got some cool finds.
Keep the videos coming I love watching your videos they are amazing keep up the good work
Always great to wake up to your guys videos !
The spring is gorgeous!
Nice haul by all three of yas, but that jag tooth ! 😲 I'd go back for sure, nother great vid. 👊
Really cool man! Thank you.
OOoh, loved the drone-shots! Unexpected!
... now to sit down and actually watch and see what you find... ;)
The fossil ivory you found is really cool. It looks a lot like a piece of shell. How do you know the difference?
keep making vids like this and you'll be at 1 million subs in no time ; )
What years are those coins? Nice finds my friend. Jag tooth is indeed awesome.
Thanks! Not old at all. It’s modern change from people swimming.
I love seeing how the fossils are in situ. Carpe Fossilum!
I want to see that spear point Derek found it looked like it was a Paleo point
I most definitely want to see more vids like this from this place! How cool! 👏🏽❤
Love love love this video!!!!
Could the tip ding on the Jaguar tooth be feeding damage?
I LOVE your vids, you do an awesome job! I started watching you about a little more then a year ago, seen you on several of Jake's @DALLMYD, videos! My kids love watching you too ❤ so i think its cool we can sit and watch together while learning cool stuff about fossils! I'ma born & raised Floridian of 28 yrs, lived in North Central FL between Ocala & Gainesville my whole life and can't believe as much as I've been in & around the water, springs & the Ocklawaha River and NEVER seen or looked for fossils! Smh, i actually didn't really get into that stuff much until after moving out of FL to KY about 2 years ago🙄 Go figure 😂😏 But thanks for the amazing vids & content 💚 keep up the great work is
Thanks for the nice comment Amanda! KY has cool crystal filled geodes and world famous agates (but they’re a little difficult to find).
I’m glad you all enjoy the vids. I’ll be working very hard this next year to put out a ton more vids for you all to enjoy.
I love Kyle's shirt
I've watched your vids since 7k
Love the work boy
Derek is one cool feller!
YES. Please go back!
Those jaguar canines have massive roots.
The manatee come up the fresh water springs in the winter for the warmer 72 degree water today so it looks like they did way back when. Are they dinosore era teeth?
Great hunt! Fantastic!
the only place I would want to go scuba diving!
Duuuude that was an epic find!!!! Holy jaguar...
Thanks! 🐆
That's Cool 😎 stuff, thanks guy's!
Are my eyes deceiving me and I'm just seeing every brown rock as fossil or is the river bed literally covered in bone fragments?
Also there's a tooth in the top right at 5:27 that you missed :')
I think he missed a ton, tbh
Could just be that if he sees something insignificant or if it's something he's found hundreds of he skips them. That's my guess.
DEVILOW got it. In some locations, you have to learn to tune out the very common stuff you’re not looking for.
Are not 8:06 and 8:59 the same spot? that second manatee molar must have been one of the ones you already found and dropped...
Man, you ought to make a big honkin' windchime from all the keys y'all find... Oh holy crap, that jaguar canine! That was just kind of the ultimate, wasn't it? I mean, short of finding fossilized dinosaur eggs or similar. Also, the variety of remains that you found were just totally amazing. Question: Do you ever find fossilized bird-beaks? They're pretty solid material, so I figured they'd fossilize well, but I guess they'd have to be pretty sizable to hold together-- cranes, big raptors, that sort of thing. Ever found one?
It’s very rare, but I did find a fossil songbird beak which I donated to the Florida Museum of Natural History years ago. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You make the best videos!!!
Love those "keyasaur" teeth! Congrats on the jaguar canine, now go find the skull!
Can you tell us the name of the river and spring? Please
Diggin the scuba video!
Hi do u know if native Americans from the past ever used sharks teeth for spear tips or arrow heads?
We love your intros.
Awesome Find
Amazing ancient fossilized keys you found there 😂
Wonderful video THANKS
Very cool !
I need that shirt Kyle is wearing!!! 🤣
Do ever river in Florida have fossils or just certain places
ivers
Just certain ones...but most do as long as you can find hard bottom (limestone, clay, etc).
What's that swimming on the left at 2:54? O.O
I’d like to join you on a hunt. Do you do private tours?
What do yo you do with the fossils
What spring are you at?
Love these videos! I’ve gotten to where I can guess some of the fossils before you say what it is! Proud of myself hahaha
Haha, that’s awesome Jennifer! 😅
PaleoCris it’s the little things I guess 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Where in Florida is this? This is amazing!
More stuff here pls!!!
You must a dinasor tooth and it was big
I really enjoy your videos and want more !!! that jaguar tooth was amazing. I also like the manatee teeth. I love manatees !!! in fact I have a tattoo of a mom & baby manatee . I have also adopted a manatee thru SAVE THE MANATEE CLUB. they are endangered due to uo humans so we need to help them anyway we can !!! have you ever been lucky enough to swim with any Cris ?
I have had the pleasure of being in the water with them! They are incredible, gentle animals.
It appears that there is bones lying around that you guys don't pick up. Is this correct or am I seeing things that aren't there? Great video.
Its true but i think they are Just doegong Bones. The only usefull thing about finding doegong Bones is that there could be megalodon teeth near by.
You’re correct Dave. In many places in a Florida, the gravel itself is made up of fossil bone pieces.
Great video❗️👍✅
I really wanna go fossil hunting but sadly I don’t live in Florida.
Do you offer tours?
Cool Jaguar tooth!
Hi!! My name is Emily and I am 7 years old. I have been watching a LOT of your videos. I have never been on a shark tooth hunt... And i live in Austin.....I always wanted to go on a shark tooth hunt! And how can I buy one of these Shark teeth packages??

Magnificent!❤
WOW‼ CONGRATS🎉🎉🎊🎉
